Consult went very Good!

Hey Everyone, Sorry, it took a while for me to get back.  I am here now.  My computer went crazy on Friday night.  I had to reload everything on the computer again.  Well, my consult went very good.  Dena said my doctors sent very thorough notes.  I did talk to her thru email today.  She was working on my paperwork and getting ready to send it to my insurance.  Should be sent sometime this week.  The case manager at the insurance said they only take 24 to 48 hours for approval.  Dena also told me at the appointment that getting my surgery the week before Christmas was not a problem.  She already knew I was trying to have it done during my school break.  She did not need anymore paperwork.  I am starting to go in shock I think now.  I have wanted to have surgery for a few years now, but everytime I started the dr supervised diet I would quit due to family or issues with work.  I really decided this was the year for me to finally do something for myself.  My husband was really leary at first but now he is completely behind me.  I have been losing weight now also.  He sees how much better I feel and is quite proud of me.  I am proud of myself, too.  Well now the waiting.  It shouldn't be to long though this week sometime to hear from the insurance. Kelly, I'm glad your appt. went well.  I just got my approval yesterday and I to am waiting for a surgery date.  I want to have mine in Dec. as well since I will be off from work the last 2 weeks.  I have a call in to the office to see if they will set my date now that I have approval.  My approval took 4 weeks and that's only because the insurance people just set on it and it took me calling and calling until they finally approved me on the phone yesterday I was so happy!  Good luck and keep us posted. Congratulations Bev, I should be joining tomorrow.  Dena sent my paperwork to my insurance this morning.  My insurance gives an answer in 24 to 48 hours tops.  So I should know tomorrow.  I also am trying to have in Dec.  Dena already noted and said it shouldn't be a problem since I am on a tight schedule with school.
