Please read I'm so confuse!

I'm like so daze rite now. I met Dr. Kevin Suttmoeller back in sept 25 an now its nov 2. I'm at the point where  i was waitin for ins approval cuz the Mo bariatric ins woman said she sent it off last thursday. An like most called everyother day to see if they receive an they said no. So i called them an the woman that deal wit paper work put me on hold for 10 mins then come back an say oh it havent been sent out an it will be sent out  today or Monday. What the hold up ? I didnt ask cuz i know me when I'm upset, so I ended the call an started to breath easy. What I wanted to ask is  when you went to your first consult did you meet your surgeon or a least know who it will be cuz I dont know. An to be honest I thought Dr. Kevin was my surgeon. An to read thats hes not Ia surgeon was shockin. I just  call them to comfirm an its rite. I feel ashame that I dont know whos doin my surgery an that I feel like I'm not doin what I need to be doin. Dont know what I need to be doin rite but waitin. Need the support rite now.  An advice.

I'm not sure if I can help but, when I went in I saw my surgeon first prior to paper work being sent to my insurance. Where are you going? I have never heard of the Dr office sending off paperwork before they see you. How do they know you need the surgery?

Ok I just called an talk wit someone an ask them about whos my surgeon. She replied that when you go to your first consult you meet Dr. kevin. And when you did your paperwork you pick the surgoen that you wanted .Or after approve you pick your surgeon. So now I'm a lil  at ease. So who will be my surgeon dont know yet gotta lot of research to do on who.

This is not happen overnight. From the first night when I went to the seminar to the day of surgery (which is Monday morning) it has been 5 months. I have had all kinds of different doctors appointments. To be honest, I'm glad it took awhile for this top all unfold. This is not a quick fix, this is a life changing procedure.  If they are willing to get you approved and out the door quickly, then it may not be the right place for you to go through.

Ok i appreicated your comment but thats not even wat I want Honestly I'm not even lookin to have surgery this yr but  I would like to know who will be doin my surgery. An able to meet before I go under. Not think its one person an its another. I have meet many dr.s also but I have been on here since march an started my journey in March. You dont think by now I shoudnt't Know who my surgeon? As far as the paperwork If your refering to I should be upset about that cuz they told me one thing an its another. I know things can get busy but be upfront wit me.

Lady, are you going to Mo. barietrics? they stay very confused up there i do believe. Someone has said on here that they now have a new office manager. If anyone knows of who this is and or someone that she can call and talk directly too i know she would appreciate it. Sounds like someone or lots of someones there dont know their head from a hole in the ground.

thanks Jan.  An yes I am going thru Mo Bariatrics. Since I went to there seminar all I heard is negative things about them. I can only go to them becuz of the ins. I have. But I pray everything will get better soon. I'm just going to be patient an wont call until they call me I hate to have to keep callin to make someone do there job its really sad. But will let you know when I get the approval. take care

Hi Lady, I am also going to MO Bariatrics, I got a letter last week that they had sent my info off to the ins. Hope that is true as I have not called my ins yet to see if they have received my info. Guess I will call next week and see. I am playing the waiting game too. I also talked to Dr Suttmoehler  the 1st time I went. I thought he was very nice and had a very pleasant attitude.  I have chosen to have Dr Fearing for my surgeon but have not got to meet her yet. She was highly recommended to me.  Are you having any other test done. I have to have a sleep study, stress test, and pulmonary function test. Then I have another appt for Nov. 21.  Good luck on your journey. I would think after you get approval from the ins. it should go a little faster..
