Dr. Scott - Leaving MO Bariatrics

Was any one else informed that Dr. Scott was leaving Missouri Bariatrics and basically retiring? (I guess he will still do some stuff at De Paul)  I was told today, at the Office, not at the Hospital where I SPOKE with Dr. Scott and some new Dr he was training to do fills..... I can't say that I am real impressed (again) with the staff there, but I guess I am stuck with them.  I have looked into changing Dr's but that is not an option with a band... tina

Have you checked to see if Dr. Edward's office would do your fills?  I don't know if you have to be one of their patients or not to get a fill but I'd think not.  Might be something to check in to and would a lot closer for you.

they absolutely will not do other surgeon's band fills - I called last week! thanks for the thought!

Oh my gosh! I was just at MO Bariatrics on October 31. No mention of Dr. Scott leaving was mentioned!I didn't see Jennifer either. Do you know if she is still there? I asked one of the nurses doing the breast cancer research about Jennifer, and she just said that she hadn't seen her for awhile. My gosh! What is happening at MO Bariatrics?

I saw Jennifer the last time I was in at the first of October.  When I Stoped at the Office to weigh in, only the two Amy's were there.  The in office visits didn't start on Thursday until after Noon so no one was there and I was so shocked that I didn't ask after anyone else.  Just made sure they were aware of the troubles people on the board have been having getting through to talk to their doc.  Amy told me that even asking for them doesn't always work.  She related that one day someone called for "either of the Amy's" and was told they were both at lunch when they were sitting right there in the Office!!!! There is trouble in paradise!!! Good Luck!  Who do you see on your next visit? Tina

Who knows what is going on, but I don't have to go bac****il January 30, then again in August of next year and I should be done. I like Dr. Soettmoeller, he seems caring and nice. But, I haven't had a lot of issues to deal with surgery wise.

Well Crap!!! I have a appt in Dec for my 6mo check up...And the last time I seen Dr.Scott he discussed more on my tummy tuck and hernai surgery...Wonder if this is something he just recently decided on?  I will be calling on my next day off to find out what's going on and who they plan on using in his place!!! I do think his patients should be notified of this and he should be working with them to make sure they are satisfied with the changes in their health care that will have to be made once he is gone.....I am only 5 months out!!! And my PCP is not up on all the WLS....She relies on columbia or myself telling her how certain things should be handled to keep me from having to do that 6 hour drive to get things took care of up there!!!!  Will post after I get time to chat with one of them in the office.....Hugs..Tammy~ammy

I sounds like they are brining in a new doc.  Dr. Scott was training yesterday.  I am seeing Dr. Soettmueller in Dec for my next visit.  But he is not a surgeon. so someone else has to do the fills...Let us know what you find out! Tina

I go next friday for my one month ( at 6 weeks out lol) check up and I seen Dr Soettmueller since my surgery for my infection and all he is the nurses husband and he is there to help regulate the medicines after surgery and to do the checkups your right someone else will do you guys fills but he is a very nice and good dr...... I am not sure whats going on at the office but I know that their customer service is the worse in all I have dealt with and its to where I ask for AMY KING and only AMY KING

from what I could get out of them (office) it was pretty much a suprise to them as well (Dr. Scott leaving).  Anyone know what is up?
