I Have A Date

Hi Connie, Congratulations on your surgery date! Wasn't that fun to get rid of your fat clothes? I'm going to do that too when I get my surgery date. Helen
Hey do you want to pop over to my house and kick my butt into weeding out my closet? I've started to pick a piece here and there that I know I won't / can't wear any more because either I can't keep the pants up or I look like I'm swimming in it. But I'm trying not to go overboard and keep the new clothes buying down to a minimum. I have a trip to the southern Caribbean in December and some of the summer shorts and capris that have draw strings I'd like to try to make do with. I did go and buy a new pair of dress slacks the other day since I had to meet with a client - boy did that feel good and make me pretty darn proud of how I looked even though they are still a size 22. I have a business trip coming up in a few weeks and will need to buy a couple more pairs for that, thank goodness I just got a discount coupon for the Avenue - I love their dress slacks. I'm gonna hold off on the purchase though until closer to the 10th so I can see if I'm into a size 20 by then. At that point... I can guarantee you that all my other fat pants will be going by the way side. I laughed the other day when I tried on a sweater, just before that I said to myself "I like big baggy sweaters, I'll be able to wear that for a while still". I took one look at myself in the mirror and noticed how stretched out it was from trying to make it baggy when it was tight on me. That went to the retired clothes pile immediately. I'll try to keep your confidence in mind and see if it can clean out my own closet before the end of the year.
