I Have A Date

Hey Oh Board,    We just got back from St. Louis last night and I got the date of December 12th. The pre-op day was pretty fun. I was surprised by how many of the people there were really unsure of their decision and were already talking about failing and all. I kept trying to reassure them and tell them to get on the board to answer questions ,but they weren't to open to that ??     All I know is yes I'm nervous(which is normal(I've had 6 surgeries,so I know))It's cuz I don't like the pain when you wake up,but I'm way past worrying about that.I've already gotten rid of ALL my summer fat clothes.I have nothing over a 16.How's that for confidence? I refuse to be seen in any of those clothes again!No more 18 or 20's.     Hope all is well with everyone.God Bless                         Connie

Connie congratulations on your date. wonderful did you know Jane S. is having surgery the same day? only in Springfield.  Hey way to go on getting rid of your summer clothes that is committment. That is what i did too. I had surgery in August and before i had surgery i took all my winter clothes out and gave them away. and by the time it got cold i was down from size 22 to 16/18s  Keep up the good attitude and you will do great. Sorry that all of those at the meeting yesterday didnt share our enthusium about the MO. board. Maybe some of them will come on but we will have to just wait and see.  Jan

Jan, I'll be thinking of Jane too that day. I wanted to say thank you also for being on this board everyday.When I think of  the OH board I think of you first off. Your full of info and support and friendship and it makes this journey so much nicer for us when we start. You and the others are a great group of friends to have. God Bless You, Connie

Wow!!!! Congrats!  I am in the surgery set with them the week before!  I am so happy you got in before the end of the year.  How fantastic for you!

Connie, WOOHOO!!!!!  December 12 will be here before you know it.  I'm so very happy for you.  You have had the best attitude about this whole surgery that I have EVER seen.  You deserve this surgery and all the success you are going to have.  Can't wait to see the ride begin for you.  You are going to have such fun and so are we who support you.  Do you have an angel?  I'll volunteer. Lana, Thank you for volunteering. I would love for you to be my angel. When Glenna asked us at the meeting to think of something that inspired us or helped us out the first thing I thought about was you calling me and talking to me the first time.You are such a lovely person and you have the kind of attitude I love.The OH board has been so great for me and I just love the people on here.Too many to mention.but they know who they are.
