WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

Good morning OH peeps!  My morning started out pretty good then I get chewed out by my friend on the phone as I'm pulling in to my work parking lot and right before her call my sister was nagging me about getting a chair of mine out of her garage.  My friend whom I live with had a baggie on the bathroom counter and I guess it had this very small wire thing in it that she uses to clean a small tube in her breathing machine.  Well I cleaned the bathroom the other day and I guess I must have threw it away cause she couldn't find it and if I saw the baggie and thought it was empty I would have thrown it away so it was an accident and she told me she wasn't very forgiving right now.  It wasn't like I did it on purpose for one it doesn't belong on the bathroom counter she should have put it up somewhere else that's what I think!  Then there is my sister right before my friend called who was nagging me about my chair when she knows that where I live now I never know if I'm going to be moving out of there from one day to the next since I have been having problems with my friends mother.  I don't know I am overly stressed and overwhelmed now I just want to scream!!!  It's Homecoming weekend here at the college so it's been a little busy this week people calling about homecoming events can't wait until it's over and the phones settle down.  The only part of homecoming that I like is the country store that they have.  I like to go shopping there cause they will do a payroll deduction of what you spend so they only take out a little each pay period until your bill is paid so that helps with Christmas.  I will be going there today after work. I am tired today not sure why maybe it's just stress related cause it seems like lately I have been under a termendous amount of stress!  I can't wait until after the first of the year and my car will be paid off and then I can probably move out into my own place, maybe then I can get rid of some of my stressors? I think what Darrah had mentioned about a clothing exchange would be a good idea.  I of course only have large sizes right now since I just started this journey but maybe there would be a need for those sizes for someone new that is just starting out?  I think more events during the year would be good and give people the oppurtunity to meet.   Well, guess I better get back to work the phones are crazy here!  Take care and have a wonderful Thursday!!!!!     Bev~    

The clothing exchanges were really fun and a great way to meet new people.  We left them open to everyone (pre op, post op, just thinking about surgery).  They were really small to start with, only 5-6 people, and then everytime we had one they just grew, and grew.  We'd usually have it a a church or something like that, and we'd have a pitch in with it.  Then whatever clothes were left over we donated to a charity.  This is the first one I've had to miss since the first one I went to in Jan 2006.  We usually had them in Jan, Apr, Jul and Oct.  If anyone close to KC wants to help, I could prolly help organize one for Jan or April if there is an intrest.  I never hosted one myself, but helped enough to know what goes on.  I need to update my location, I'm actually IN KC about 2 blocks from the plaza.  But I get out to OP (my hubby works there) and Olathe quite a bit.  In fact, I plan on having this baby at Shawnee Mission Med. I've met Floyd (and his wife) several times, and they are just great people.  The IN board was really the only one I have been active on, and was sad to leave all my buddies behind, but happy to have the chance to make new ones!  Thanks for the warm welcome!

Good Afternoon Jan and OH Peeps~

I am not feeling so hot today so I am going to make this as short and sweet as possible. The kids had 1/2 day and we are headed to town to get some medicine and groceries, and then I am dropping Steph off at work, coming home, and wrapping up on the couch next to the fireplace!!  I have a really bad allergy cough from drainage and my chest/stomach hurt from all the coughing-overall, look like I have been hit by a mac truck and drug behind it for a couple of days-ARGH! I just wanted to say that I had a blast with Tammy, Brenda and Mel-just talking-the trip to Springfield and back and then our shopping trip and time at BK with the kids. Had several conversations that brought tears to more than just me-LOL...but it sure was a blessing! I got an outfit at Catos-the shirt is a summer type, really cute one with a big bow in the back-for 1.99 and the matching capris were 3.99 and they are sooo colorful-and I got them in a sz 16. Guess if they dont fit by next summer, I will give them to Stephanie.  When we went to Lane Bryants, I got some really nice jean capris and they were 40% off the clearance price. YAY....the kids were really well behaved for being 4 and 5 and so when we went to BK, they got to play in the indoor playground. Thats when the bonding happened and when we went to Walmart afterwards to get some pics copied from the group pics and such-Jon and Claire, each in their own carts-were holding each others hands and flirting. Jon said-Oh, she is soooo cute....tammy said-did you hear him? Thats my little guy-picking up the women at 4 yrs old-he may even have his dads record beat-LOL!! I am waiting for the propane guy to get here with our first load of propane of the year-to the tune of $400!!!  Im scared! I hope thats not an every 2 week thing like it was last year-we will freeze to death first, will never be able to afford that!  Its gone up almost 50 cents from last year-and when you bought more-the price was cheaper-also NOT the case this year. Dang it. Ok-so I am gonna reply and get off here. Will have to be back on later to help Jan out as she is working so I will get post out tonite later.

**Jan- Oh man, I THINK I would see IF there is any recourse to go after that dentist that lied to take that kind of money from you and Joe-and not just the money either-making Joe go through all of those visits and such-to turn around and be in that kind of pain and to lose it all-when it could have been done already. Shady jerk! Maybe we can do some bogus work on him, like tattoo a pair of buck teeth on his forehead-or fix his nose for him!! Or give him botox injections, without using any injection or needles.....was he in this area? I wouldnt recommend any one go to someone like him. If you arent going to go after him, at least turn him in to the ADA or the BBB so that he has that on his record. You cant tell me he didnt know he was basically stealing from you both!!  I hope Joe feels better each and every day!! I hope the back injections work too. Poor guy~! If you want-you can call me from work or whatever after you get the call about Sheilas surgery. If you need me to post it for you, before 12 pm, I can. I will be working tomorrow afternoon myself, so after that, I wont have access until later in the evening. K?  Let me know. **Sheila-Tomorrow is the day!!! YAY....you will be in our prayers! **Tammy and Brenda-I miss you guys sooo much!! Cant wait till you guys get to come back! **Brenda-how did Dennis like the "new girls"....If I do say so myself-they looked pretty darn good!! EW, LA, LA!!!  Thats why your ringtone on my phone is Im bringin sexy back...YA!!  Hope you feel good wearing all your new stuff! **Lana-Did you like the picture?  I want to use that one on my avatar-do you mind since you are in it too?  I just love it-its my favorite pic ever!  Im sorry you and John are hurting. I know, this weather is kicking my butt-thats for sure.  I even wear Mikes battery operated thermal socks.  I have a wish list for Christmas just like you do-and its all for stuff to help me stay warm. Crap, I know I am still fat-so why am I as cold as all of you stick people? LOL...Just kidding-you look perfect, your just so tiny-I think I had barbie dolls bigger than you and Jan!!! **Connie-it was so good to talk to you and your hubby----do you have a date yet? Werent you getting that yesterday? Let us know, Ok? Your a very beautiful lady and I cant wait for you to get the surgery and feel better!! **Mel-CONGRATS on your news today. Hi, Jan and Missouri Peeps!! Just wanted to stop by and say hello.  You are all such great people!  I don't post every day but I do read all of your posts.   Jan, I hope Joe's teeth get better.  When your teeth hurt your whole body hurts.  I'd be irriated if I'd spent 6,000 on teeth only to be told a few years later they need to be pulled!!   Janet, I LOVE those clearance racks too!  I always check those out first!!  Congrats on the size 16!  You are doing great! Congrats to everyone who has been losing weight and feeling better about ourselves (me included on that!)  Now of course we're celebrating with WATER or Crystal Light!  As most of you know I have been buying a lot of new clothes.  Yesterday I went to the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Olathe.  Wednesday is 50% off all clothing day so I bought quite a few things I can wear as everyday clothes.  Will have to start going there more often.  The best part was I bought 3 pair of jeans that were SIZE 12!!  I've been doing laundry all day and cleaning my bedroom.  My husband has all his camo out on his side of the room and I told him he had to get all that stuff picked up tonight!  We have company coming Saturday night and I want to be able to give them a tour of our home.  That also means my kids will have to clean their rooms and bathrooms.  What a mean Mom I am! I have my grandson tonight.  His Mommy has a date so she asked me a couple weeks ago if I could watch him tonight.  I hope she enjoys herself.  She is going out to dinner then to a concert with her friend Gary and a couple from our old church.  They should have a lot of fun.  I can only imagine how hard it must be for her being a single Mom. Well, I'd better scoot.  Am going to start cleaning my kitchen.  I have to get up early tomorrow and take Kam to daycare then will finish cleaning the house when I get home tomorrow morning.  Have to pick up the living room and the office as well as try and clean my little laundry room.  You can barely turn around in there and it's hard to clean but it needs to be done. Hello Missouri Roomies!  I know I haven't been coming here like I should.  Sounds like all of us "posties" are freezing to death.  Just so you guys know, "ALDI" has electric blankets for $29.95 for twin and $59.95 for Kings... Wal-mart sells their King (what I need) for $85, so Aldi's deal is excellent.   I went and bought one this morning.  Hopefully as a back up only, since I have one already, buy every year it seems one in my family plays out and ya can't even find one after about Thanksgiving.  I use mine year round, (except for Aug.) and I think I'd have withdrawals without it LOL I am in the 160s now, and can't believe the pics I saw of you guys at the meeting.  Everyone is slimming down so quickly!!    I found out my iron is quite low too, I am in need of a hysterectomy, but my insurance won't take effect til March, so too bad for me. LOL I am still dating this guy from Jonesboro, AR named Mike (Michael) he has spent time with my son, and we have spent time with his 4 year old, she is very sweet.   The poodle boyz LUV her, they ran and ran and played, and were hanging their tongues for a couple of days later :)  They are laying here on the sofa now, in their little dark purple puppy coats, their Nana made them last xmas....they are freezing too LOL OH! Mom is going back to the knee doc on 11/08 and will be scheduling "manipulation knee surgery repair" poor thing....her scar tissue healed over her knee too quickly and made it not be able to bend... :(  I am so worried for her....I will be with her every second in the hospital, and I will be cooking Turkey Day dinner here at my house this year.  I have perfected this fantastic roast beef, so we will have something different this year! Great to see everyone doing so well!
