Hey OH Board,    I have a question and I guess out of curiosity thought I'd ask.So how big is a "protein drink"? One cup, two ? and if it is one or two cups how long does it take to drink if your tummy is now tiny? I keep thinking you carry around this drink for hours trying to sip it down. Just curious. Also, I go to my pre-op meeting Oct. 24th and I'll get my date then, so when do we register for surgery and when do they want your deductible ($250).                                                    Thanks ,Connie

I pour 3-4 oz of liquid into my shaker thingy and then add one scoop of my protein powder into that.  It doesn't really matter how much liquid you use, just add the powder, shake and drink.  The really good protein powders dissolve instantly.  I can drink that much in a few minutes.  Liquids slide right on through pretty quickly.  No sure on the deductible thing - my insurance paid 100% for my surgery, except the $100 hospital deductible and I paid that when I checked into the hospital.

I agree with Nutti, the least amount of liquid the better to me.  Some love their shakes and make really great sounding things - Jan Cook - but I just want to get it down as easily and quickly as I can so I use minimum liquid and maximum powder.  It's a personal thing I think. Hugs - good to see you posting - not too much longer now. Lana

Connie my protein drink is my breakfast and usually takes me about a half hour to drink it. I use about 6 oz of milk and then flavor it with what ever i am wanting that day. Most days it is a handull of frozen strawberries and a tablespoon of splenda and a scoop of protein powder if that is too thick i thin it down with some strawberry ,kiwi flavored water.  That amount is 30 grams of protein so i have a good start to the day. and it being cold milk and frozen strawberries blended it stays cold a good long time.    Hope you come to the COF meeting the 22nd....Love and hugs.
