When did your weight loss really start?

My first week post op I lost 4 1/2 lbs. Now I just feel like I"m not losing anything and that it's not going to work.

Am I just expecting too much to fast or what...

Just need some advice.

They pump you full of alot of fluids when you are in the hospital, be patient that will start to drain out of you soon enough.  On the flip side losing 4 pounds in a week is still good, don't stress about it.

Hey, Just thought I would add my two cents in here. I lost 18 lbs my first week post-op. BUT the next 1-2 weeks was slow loss. It's almost like my body lost all that weight all the sudden then had to play "catch up". I have noticed that when you aren't losing as much weight or you are on a plateau--you are still losing inches. This surgery works. Your body is going wacky right now and doesn't know what to do. It will take a bit for it to get out of "freak mode". I am a little over 4 months out and my body is still kind of in that mode. Get this, I haven't started my period this month. I am nearly a month late. I am not pregnant (I've taken 3 tests). If you feel like you should be losing more, I would increase the protein and the water (liquids). You will NOT be disappointed, soon enough!  Cheryl
