Has any one else had problems with poor customer service at their office???  2 weeks ago I placed 2 calls to the insurance lady.  She never called back so on Friday Oct. 2 I drove 40miles to the bariatric office with a good book with plans to sit their tell she was avail. to talk w/ me. As to what the status of sending my pre approval letter was.  To my surprise i was their 4-5minutes in the lobby and the lady came out and told me my chart was on her desk, waiting for her to get the letter written.   She gave me her e-mail(as I requested) to e-mail questions.   So I let it be for a week.  e-mailed last friday(10-12).  Received a e-mail notification that it was received and opened @7:58am on 10/12.  No response.  This am(8:00) Called and let voice mail re; wanting to know if my letter had been sent to my insurance, yet!!  Left home #, cell#, and e-mail address.  Still no response.  I am beginning to wonder about customer service or lack of????  I am an office nurse and if we didn't acknoledge someone called my office manager would be fuming.  Anyone else had this problem????

I have heard of a lot of problems like that with that office.  I too see no point in it and if i did my job that way i would be fired , how about you. Some people just dont seem to want to work i guess. Hope  you get some answers soon.   Jan

I had the same type of experence.  I am glad the medical staff is 1000 times better..  I sent my letter to my ins in May and I finally recieved my approval in July, and just had my surg on the 12th.  It seemed like everytime I called the office they had some one new or the person I needed to talk to was on vacation.  I just started calling every day.  I would think that if they would be proactive on the insurance approvals would be more dollars generated but who knows it is part of the university.  That was one are of my frustrations but the medical staff really took great care of me and so far so good.  Good luck on your journey. Well I called again today.  This time I spoke with Leslie the receptionist, she was so nice.  She explained to me that the normal insurance lady was on vacation this week.  Their was another lady helping with some charts that where given to her prior to the noral vacation lady leaving.  But unfortunatly mine was not one of those.  Leslie told me it was still on the noraml insurance ladies desk, unsure if it has or hasn't been sent chart doesn't say either way.  I thanked Leslie and told that I just wanted the status and I would check back at my appt w/ dr Suttmoeller this coming Monday.  Apparently not to many here on OH have had problems with Customer Service.  Olora

I had similar experience with office staff.  I love Dr. Ramaswamy though.  I would have her do my surgery again tomorrow.

Dr Ramaswamy was my DR also.... I am a month out of surgery and customer service sucks royally...Call there and tell Amy King that you have been waiting for information and you were wondering if she could please check on it and if she would have Leslie call you back ASAP on the matter and you will either hear back from AMY or Leslie then Amy seems to be able to get people to call back better then anyone else ... and the Leslie I am talking about is the insurance leslie

You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be, before you can actually become that person.

From what I have heard the 'insurance Leslie' quit a couple months ago.  Does anyone know who the new insurance person is?

I am not sure who the new Insurance person is.  But I do agree with Bobbie Jo.  If you talk to Amy, and keep asking for her, she will get you taken care of.  Love the medical team out there, but the office staff, is another story.  I had Dr. R as well.  She did great things for my newly created tummy.
