3 1/2 lbs.. YES, i am sure, i had to go to the doc today and then i confirmed it at home on my digital scales????  Has anyone gained on this before.  I am writing down everything, and all i have had so far is 4 protein shakes a day, some SF Jello 2svg daily and 1 sf popsicle,.. Thats it.  Barely 700 calories a day, how am I gaining?   I have always had an extremely hard time losing, on restricted calories, what if I have the surgery and don't lose weight?

I know it is scary, but don't worry, you will lose weight after surgery. One of the other girls I know, gained weight too, but she is losing fine after surgery. Keep up the good work on sticking to the diet plan.  Elisa

Do you know how long she gained for , or how much?  Is there any way i can talk to her, i just don't understand it at all, it is very scary to me considering this is what i will be consuming after the surgery..  oh well, i meet the surgeon Thursday, i can ask him.  THank you

Cindy, I think a couple of things might be happening.  One is that you are retainingi fluid.  Are you really pushing the water/Crystal Light?  I know it sounds backward but you have to drink lots to get rid of water weight.  Second - Your body may be in starvation mode and saving every calorie you put in.  I know it's disheartening but you will lose.  If you follow the rules, and you are, you cannot fail.  I promise, cross my heart.  Keep up the good work. Hugs, Lana
