I think I was mean without meaning to be ........
On the main forum there was a lady asking if people had read the memorial forum and how now she is double thinking the surgery and this was my response to her
When I read the memorials before I had my surgery I had to look at it this way and I do not want any one flaming me here but ..... Have you read the memorials each and everyday for people killed in car wrecks ????? But yet you still get in a car and drive to work to support your family right ??? What about the memorials for people that dies of old age ???? You still keep living and getting older..... I mean if the memorials for everything out there was listed like the ones here are then people would stop living at all and in this case if the memorials make you stop and not ahve the surgery then that can make you stop living becuase most of us had to have this surgery in order to be able to live longer and be there for our families and that is my opinion of how you should look at it hun...
.
Worried now that maybe i was to hard sounding and didnt mean to but its true
You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be, before you can actually become that person.

Nah,I really dont think you were mean sounding, you were just telling it like it is..food for thought.
I mean you have a chance to die in a car accident, to die of cancer, to be struck by lightening---the what if's of what if's---- Your bound to die from some thing!! cant stop it---Just like if we believed that bananas caused cancer--I wouldnt eat another one LOL
Yes it is a good thing to sit back, make sure you have researched this enough and make sure you can do a life time commitment----
The memorials probably dont give enough info to---it doesnt say what they died of, what their history was BEFORE surgery, what complications they may have had and maybe not even related to the surgery
So I wouldnt let it trouble you, if your still in doubt message that person or make another post saying Sorry--I really didnt mean to sound mean LOL

I don't think you sounded mean at all. You were merely trying to present another way to look at the situation to perhaps help ease their fears and concerns a little - that's all. You made a very valid point. Some folks will see your point and agree; others won't. That's the way it is. Don't worry yourself over it.
I do not post on the main board at all, because I've heard it can get well.... "heated" and honestly, I don't have time for all that. I prefer to live my life by the "Golden Rule". I love to encourage people, and my personality and nature is also to post to make people think, much like the post you shared Bobbie. And it is possible to do that in a tactful, diplomatic way without stomping all over people's feelings and being mean and rude (and you did a great job at being nice in your post Bobbie!!); and I just choose not to hang out where there are folks who choose to post in an otherwise manner day in and day out.
So I post to help, encourage and ask questions when I need to. I usually use my blog/web site for those more thought provoking postings.
