Bariatric Vitamims, what brand do you take??

ALso, how many times a day do you have to take them after surgery? I have to get some ordered.. thanks
Hi Cindy
I've posted my supplementing schedule on my web site here. For my multi-vitamin, I use Bariatric Advantage, and the main reason I do is because they do not contain calcium and iron in those. We shouldn't take calcium and iron at the same time. It's hard to find any multi-vitamins without calcium in them, and they often also have iron in them too.
I don't think there's any one "right" brand of vitamins that are the very best or that we have to take. But I do think there's a lot of products out there that are really expensive and over-priced that are marketed toward bariatric patients; some may be really good, with high quality vitamins, and some aren't. In that same light, it's also going to be very hard to find the best types/forms of all of the vitamins and minerals we need at Walmart. I can find a few, but not all of them.
I buy my B100, Calcium Citrate and Zinc (I think that's it??) at Walmart. I buy my Coromega at VitaCost.com, I get my B12 injection at the pharmacy every month and give that to myself and everything else I get at Vitalady.com.

I think every one has their own list and where and what and you will have to work out what is good for you.
I started with chewables for the first month and did centrum chewables from wal mart and still get all of my vits and supplements from wal mart. because i cant afford some of the more expensive ones there are out there.
My labs have all come back absolutly perfect and even my bone scan is great ...so for some it will work with the cheap brands , dont know if it will work for everyone. but for me it does.
I too give myself my b-12 shot but do it twice a month instead of once as i was getting tired before the end of the month, some people never take the b-12 shot some do fine with taking only the b-12 sublingual so see it is different for each we just have to do what is good for us.
