The Fight is ON....................
I received a call today from my surgeon's office letting me know that my insurance denied my claim for the surgery. The reason was I needed to have 2 failed attempts at weight loss, yet I sent in a 42 page document indicating the beginning (1997 - 2007). also included my signed physician medically supervised plan. What more do they want...My first born!!!! It was too late to call the insurance company today, but its the first thing on the agenda in the morning.
So my question now is since I've been denied at what point do the appeal process begins.
All helps and suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Your right in getting on it right away. This sounds like a possible error in which form letter was sent to you. Try not to get too worked up until you speak to them in the morning. Stay calm. I know it's hard. If it were me, I'd probably want heads to roll...
hehe. This may be as simple as human error. You will be in my prayers. Check your insurance policy as to when you can begin the appeals process. But, with all out prayer warriors out there, my prayer will be that you won't need to appeal.
Please let us know what you find out from the insurance company after you speak to them. Try to relax, tonight. We're all with you!

Hugs; Barbara
