You need at least 64 ounces of fluids a day ~ so just keep sipping.  Don't forget your protein ~ at least 65gms a day. I liked cooked carrots and greenbeans.  I can't tolerate broccoli or caulifl yet.  Have also tried sweet potatoes with promise spread on them.  Hang in there! Shannon

Carla since you just had surgery, yes you need to try to get in 64 oz of water a day. soft food stage is pureed food. i took creamed soups and if they had pieces of meat and such in them zaped them thru a blender to break them up. mashed potatoes arent too great since they are all carbs but sweet potatoes are ok. you can have cooked cereals, creamed soups, yogurt, sugar free pudding  scrambled eggs, pureed fruits, pureed vegetables and pureed meats.   also your protein drinks, broth, jello and such that you have been eathing too. hope all of this helps. you need to aim at at least 65 grams of protein but as you go along you will need to increase the amount of protein you get in over the next few months. I now at a year out get in most days about 115 to 120 grams of protein a day. I havent had but very little hair fall out , and have had hardly any sickness at all.
