Question

hello my friends  was wondering what the usual time is in hospital with Dr. Hornbostel? i go in Fri Oct26th at 630....will i more than likely get home sunday nite or will it be monday if all goes well that is? tks

YOUR TIME WOULD DEPEND ON HOW YOU FEELING AND WHEN YOU PASS THE LEEK TEST.

I HAD LAP BAND 5 YEARS AGO ON THE 30TH....I SPENT 24 HOURS IN HOSPITAL TOO.

MY SURGERY WAS TO BE A 8 AM BUT DID NOT GET TO SURGERY TIL 12:00 NOON AND WENT HOME NEXT DAY AT 7 PM.

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HEALS DIFFERENT TOO.......SO JUST MIGHT ASK DR. WHAT HIS OPINION IS ON TIME FRAME..  BEST OF LUCK AND YOU CHOSE THE BEST DR. FOR THIS SURGERY......

I was in there 2 days, I rode 200 miles home did just fine, I tell you that dr.Hornbostel is a great doctor, he is #1 in my book..you will do fine just listen to what he says..I will be praying for you....vesta

I hear the key is to get up and walking/ sitting in a chair as soon as you can......do what you can when you can, dont push too hard, but push when you need too. I hear it is about 2 days average. I wish you all the best and keep us updated ;) I am just starting the process with Dr H, so i am curious to see how thigs go as far as timeline.......

hello ya ive heard its usually 2 days after surgery but had wondered since its a weekend. i go for my scope Oct 3 and my lung test then the 12th i go for my pre surgery assesment then surgery 26th..... i lost 15 lbs when i started my dieting then i been working on stopping smoking and i gained it all back so now ive started again and im drinking 2 shakes a day and a good balanced dinner....and then i will be on 2 weeks slim fast be4 surgery...dont look forward to that part LOL but  at least journey is on move now....and u will be right behind me and i will polish u a  spot beside me....have a GREAT day

Sheila how far away are you from Dr h ? I was just wondring where marshfield is? i have been in mo 2 years so im new to this state still. Also when was you last visit. I have an expiration date on my insurance letter so. I hope they can get me in there. I wonder about a lot. lol

hey i live in Marshfield mo off 44 hiway be tween spds and lebnon so it takes me about a 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs depending on traffic and P stops lol i go back the 3rd..where do u live?

I talked to Margie today also.  I was just wondering if you have had an appointment with the internal medicine  Dr?  I have an appointment on Wed.  for that appointment and then I am supposed to go on the 17th for the scope and my assesment on the 22nd the my date is Nov.5th!!!!!!!  Hopefully nothing will change, but she said that it still can.  congradulations on your date hope it goes well.  Hugs,  Layla

i have a scope text 3rd and then that afternoon i have  a lung test then i go in oc t 12 @9 for my pre surgery assesment...so we r on the road now girl!!! congratslation
