WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Well this is going to be really short and sweet tonight,I had to work tonight and I have been home about 10 minutes and it is now 11:30 so not going to write a lot. I had an admission tonight late so that I didn’t get to leave as early as I should have.

On my way home at an intersection where I turn there was a sheriffs car sitting there , I didn’t think anything of it really when he got in behind me after a little while. When I went on down the road a little ways there was  a van on the highway going fairly slow and all of a sudden the sheriffs car behind me turned on his lights and there were two of them behind me with lights on. Scared me half to death, I had no where to pull over at but they whipped around me and got in behind the van, he turned off the road and they were right behind him. Don’t know what they were after him about but they evidently were sitting there waiting on him.

My goodness it is chilly out tonight , it is already down to 55 and is suppose to get down into the high 40s they say. Brrrrrrr. I guess it is a touch of fall for sure. I know one thing I have got to find me some lab coats to wear to work, tonight I wore a long sleeved t-shirt under my scrub top and I was still cold.

You know I have gotten 2 emails lately from people that said they don’t feel like they are a part of the board since they don’t come to Springfield to meetings. They said they feel there is a tight knit group of us that attend meetings and no one else can get in . There are a lot of people that post that aren’t from Springfield and don’t come to the meetings here in Springfield . I really think that you have to put yourself out there some to let others get to know you so they can think of you as a friend too. I really don’t think we have a clique , or at least I would hope we don’t. I love and care for anyone that is willing to post on here. And I don’t care where you live in the state. So please anyone that is feeling that way , please post  often and let us get to know you. And for you that do post daily let me know what you think of this ok?

COLETTE: That is too bad about your admin. Retiring, getting a new one into a facility usually means quite a shake up in everything doesn’t it? Or at least all of the places I have ever worked. Seems like they take people with them as they move.

Hope things work out for you with all of that happening.

SHEILA: well what in the world were you doing that you pulled your back out?

Hey that is great that you will be getting an appointment with Dr. H. soon. I know it cant be soon enough for you.

DEBBIE D:  was so good to see you over the week end. Had been a long time and you are really looking good.

I have my white elephant gift sitting on a window sill too. They look cute with the light shining thru them don’t they.?

Were you able to eat anything at Lamberts? Did you have to stand in line? I guess not if you got there early enough.

Im glad Jake is doing well with his contacts , lots of times kids don’t because they wont take care of them right.

Your Bible study night sounds like it will be a good one. Wish I was there to do that with you.

Im glad that you and Bev have found each other to exercise with. That always makes it more fun to have someone to do it with doesn’t it.

Glad the scales are moving for you again. keep up the good work, you really look good.

JANET: You did such a great job setting up all of the things for the Reunion and I hope you will take that job on for next year too. I think it is a consensus that you are a natural at arranging things and it was really good and fun and even with the rain we still all had fun.

So you all stayed till Monday morning? That was great for you all. The go carts and stuff sound like they were a blast. I haven’t ridden in them in years and years. Not since I got fat , hadn’t thought of doing that again. Maybe I will do that this next year sometime.

Im so proud of you and Melissa for having those wow moments. I know you all had loads of fun doing them didn’t you?

That sure would be nice if life could be like that all the time. I know that the kids really had a good time .

Yes I have some pictures of the kids with the pinatia and yes I will make you copies of everything I have and bring them to you in a couple of weeks. Ok? No problem. Maybe remind me again later this week to do that since I will be off work all this week but tomorrow I go to Springfield for an appointment. But email me and remind me to do that Thursday or Friday ok?

MELISSA: You are looking really good to be sick girl. I am so glad that you and Terry had a good time. Glad that you and Janet both felt well enough to have so much fun.

Keep all that fun in mind and don’t let life drag you back down so much. You have such an infectious smile and laugh. Hope things are going well for you today. Didn’t you have a doctors appointment today?

BOBBY JO: wow only 9 more days till your surgery, see how fast it is going. Yeah Jello has never been my favorite thing either. Even as a child I didn’t care that much about it.

But after surgery I did eat it quite a bit for the first week or so anyway.

We enjoy you being on here with us and getting to know you too.  Where is Ashland located?

Did you see on yesterdays whats Happening post where Barbara posted the name and address of the resort we were at? She even has the web address on there. So I wont repeat what she already stated ok?

RACHAEL: Wow girl you are a glutton for punishment aren’t you? Just remember that all work and no play , well you know ….

Know that all of us will keep praying for your nephew and hope that all came out ok.

Yeah , yeah we will look for you at a COF meeting when you walk in the door. Lol

That would be nice tho, since none of us except Melissa have ever met you.

BEV: Is your little fur baby ok today? I hope you don’t have to take him to the vet again.

Yeah I know I wish they would allow pets at the resort too. Even if they required a deposit would be ok or at least I think so. But I guess then they would have to draw lines about sizes etc. so is just easier to say no to all .

I sure am glad that you and Debbie met and get to exercise classes togethere. Makes it a lot easier to go doesn’t it?

Don’t be nervous about meeting Dr. H. he is a really nice man . Have you found out what is causing your stomach problems yet? If it is just fatty liver then th surgery will fix that wont it?

Well im getting off of here I have an appointment with the Plastic Surgeon in Springfield tomorrow morning at 10am so I will have to leave the house here by 8am anyway.

Am meeting Lana before my appointment to get her umbrella back to her.

See you Lana and meeting Sugar after my appointment. Another busy day.

LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

Hello Mo Board! long day was had on the 11th Miss Catriona turned sweet 16. we started the day with a few small presents and than school. we met her for lunch with the little kids in the park where we had made her one of those big cookies like the mall and fruitboxes. p****d her up from school and we had dinners at Bella Peppers....you know what I found on thier menue to eat?? hmmm a dinner salad. how exciting! but since I only recently returned to eating fresh anything it was a pretty dern good salad.  oh wore the jeans to the park and walked it...its been about 6 yrs since Ive been to the Park and its beautiful. and yesterday was a gorgeous day to enjoy it. the little guys had fun and us biggins enjoyed watching them.  exciting news for me...I put 4 arrangement of my flowers on e-bay and 3 of them are sold. I am so excited so I had to make more. and several people from my mini forum are wanting them as well.  so I may have found something I can do to make a few buckeroos till I can go back to work. who ever told me they drank those bullets...Id like the containers if you have no use for them. they are perfect for sending my delicate flowers through the mail. Ive already used my 2.    it always woriies me when life seems to be going smoothly...always wary of that bump in the road. its encouraging to be doing more of the things I thought were gone and maybe forever...like going to the park.  TYSVM Dr.John Baker! and TY OH for giving me a sounding board and a place where what I am going through is truely understood! Going to bed now! Have a great hump day! nutti

Hi Jan; Just wanted to say, I don't see the clique....Some of the board know each other more because they go to an outside support group and I think that is great. I would know more if I went to a support group but don't like driving at night alone, so I don't go. I never feel left out..I don't post much because I don't think I have much to add. If I think my opinion is needed then I post. When I went to the reunion...most go to a support group together but, I always felt welcome and included! I am so glad we're here and I like Colette think if you have something to say....post it. Let all of us respond the way we think we need to. Picking on one person or a couple to email too isn't fair. They can do nothing to change things. I don't mean to upset anyone...just my thoughts.
Hugs; Barbara

Good morning and Jan and all OH friends and all newbies

i had my a/c on last nite when i went to bed and oh boy i woke up at 130am freezing hahaha

i have to agree with you we dont have a clique here, maybe some of us do post more to others but i promise every one if u have a problem we r here to help or just here to listen to u rant...i hadnt been to any meetings when i first started posting here but every one took the time to listen to me and answer all my Questions( even dumb ones lol ) i had about surgery, diets, Dr H  or whatever... so please dont judge us till u give us a chance to get to know you...i dont post a lot but if i see some body needs help and i know the answer i will post...i get my support  from just reading and lurking as some call  it hahaha now to answer ur Question  as to how i pulled my back....well Parker my grandson had ran into corner of my desk for the last time so i had took it apart and moved it to corner, its a old big corner desk and i didnt pick it up right so im paying for it now BIG time.. and you are right  i cant get the surgery date fast enough haha just knowing the date even if its a ways off is a relief cos  then u know its really happening!  Jan isnt today ur appt  to check out the tummy tuck? let me know  what u found out and the drs info for later on down the road...

Bev...........dont be nervous about meeting Dr H... i was so nervous but once he walked in the room he put me right at ease he is a sweet nice man and i cant wait till he does my surgery. actually every one in there was very nice to me...so dont fret it cos it will go smoothly and u will see how comfortable they make u feel...

Has any 1 heard from Rianna, chelle and our other missing in actions?

well i have 2 more days till i am getting married!  YEAH and then im just waiting for my surgery so life can go on and get better..

so does any 1 know when our next reunion date is? so we can ALL mark our calendars and keep that weekend open and hopefully have 1 BIG reunion....i know im going 1 way or the other haha

Hello Missouri, I had a good day yesterday - chilly Fallish and wonderful.  Hope you did too. I am sorry if some folks think we're a clique but we don't intend to be that way.  I don't post much because I am at work all day and can't always be on the internet but I do read everyone's posts and I care and pray for all of you. I am a firm believer in face to face groups - love Circle of Friends so much.  However, I recognize that not everyone is a "group" person and some have geographical or physical limitations and need OH and the internet for support.  Many of us have hidden in our houses for years and putting yourself out there can be uncomfortable at first.  I met most of the people in the "clique" on OH before we ever met at Circle of Friends.  I also met some folks at the St. John's group.  There are many options open to everyone but just keep posting questions and comments and you will get answers and then have more questions.  The main thing is to never stop trying to learn as much as you can before and after your surgery.  We are all in this boat together and we learn from the triumphs and downfalls of others like us.  We need to be honest and open with each other or it just doesn't work.  The pioneers who had this surgery three or more years ago have so much good information to share with us all about how to sustain the weight loss we have and to keep losing if that's what we need.  And plastic surgery - that's a whole other area of questions. Dr. Edwards says that one of the most important components of successful weight loss surgery is support groups and I think he's right on about that.  Whether it is in person or on the internet we need to be there for each other when we are up, down or all around. Now, enough from me.  I have to get ready to go meet Jan and get my umbrella back.  I won't be able to be at the Circle of Friends meeting this month - darn!!!  But will be on OH and if any of you have questions or problems I can help you with - write on!!! Hugs and love to ALL Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

Good Morning Ladies! I just wanted to pipe in here about the group.  I have to say that of all the groups on the web I've been involved in, this is probably the most loving and accepting one.  I live in Columbia, IL which is 5 minutes from St. Louis County which is why I am interested in the MO list.  I was born and raised in Missouri and all my relatives still live over there.  But not once have I ever felt that anyone on the list was "cliquey".  I even commented to my husband, Bob, that you all were so sweet and loving toward one another. Just keep on what you are doing - God has blessed all of us and He will continue to do so.  It seems that the prayer and caring on this list has kept it so closely knit. Take Care all of you~~ Lori
