WHATS HAPPENING FOR MONDAY

Wow all of you that didn’t go to Branson get away this week end , really missed the fun and companionship. Even if it did absolutely drench us. See pictures I have on my profile. We just got lunch all sit up on Saturday, and it hadn’t rained but a few sprinkles off and on that morning. And when it was all sit up it just opened up and poured it had puddles on the ground ankle deep within about 5 minutes. We were trying to cover things and decided to move it all to the cottage that Janet and them were in because they had a huge screened in porch. We got it all moved over and by then everyone had to change clothes again, lol quite a little bit of hoo-haw for awhile and because of the rain we didn’t get to do our bon-fire that we were going to do Sat. night, didn’t get to play some of the games we and the kids were going to play but we all still managed to have some great fun. And I am all for us doing it again next year. Janet you did a wonderful job finding this place , It was wonderful and has a big swimming pool that was really nice, although not many got to use it because of the rain Sat. , nice hot tub too that we could have used.

Beautiful view, quite, and in view of the great fireworks show that Celebration City sets off on week ends.

Cabins are really nice with plenty of room for 4 adults easily. And with the rent being only 49.00 a night for 4 people in a cabin , is very reasonable. So everyone needs to decide to do this again next year, doesn’t break the bank to get there. Or the week end to stay there.

Bobby Jo I cant say I know what you are going thru with the liquid diet for 2 weeks before hand but as I tell every one (Keep your eye on the Prize) When I had my surgery we didn’t have to do that but I know from watching others that if they can do it you can do it. I would say drink plenty of protein drinks in this liquid diet thing . the more protein you can load up on I think the easier you will heal. That isnt a scientific fact just my ideas lol. Focus on other things and just let the diet be what it is and the time will go amazingly fast. You now have 11 days till surgery. Way to go.

Nutti: yes I had my first stall at about 3 months. But don’t get worried, it is just your body re adujusting. It will start up again. When you stop like that I think it is a signal to add more protein and more water and more exercise. You are doing so well. I think it is probably time for you to put another picture up on your profile in those jeans. Lol/

Hope to see you on the 24th at the COF meeting in Springfield .

Colette thank you so very much for posting for the week end for me. I really appreciate it. You did an excellent job of it. So now I know that if I need you I can call on you again.

Of course when I got home I had wet and dirty clothes that had to be taken care of. So to the laundry room I went. I now need some more hangers.

Janet and family and Melissa I hope you all got home all right today. I saw where it really flooded over in your area yesterday.  Nutti are you doing ok too? Anyone else in that area?

I emptied out my rain guage when I got home it showed that we got 3 inches while we were gone …some places up north of Springfield area didn’t get anything? Is that right?

Well Laura KC has surgery on Monday at 12:30 I think that is right. So everyone needs to say a prayer for her.

Tomorrow, Monday is my first payday from the Nursing home that I work for. We will see if it is worth it lol. I think when I go back in tomorrow to work that I will see the DON and see if there is any days during the next pay period that she might need me . So far it isnt hard work to me . I think a lot of it is mental, since I don’t really have to work it makes it easier to work. Lol

Well im going to get this posted and Colette thanks again I really appreciate it. Hope you enjoy what pictures I had to put up …the others have more. My camera as usual didn’t work well, so I guess I will have to go get me a new one soon.

LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

Hello Missouri, The reunion was the bomb, despite the huge rain.  We are adaptable and just moved things to the big cabin and carried on.  Had much visiting and sharing of things, recipes, vitamins, proteins, information about each other, and just a loving good time. Big thanks to Janet for organizing and to Mel and Susan for supporting her.  And their husbands were awesome - just took charge of tarps and moving food and setting things up and every odd and end - and we have some odds -  that helped make it fun. I think I already said that there were 9 post-op women there and combined we had lost 1152 pounds!   AWESOME!!!! By the way, DID ANYONE FIND MY BIG GREEN AND WHITE GOLF UMBRELLA?  It was outside Janet's door with Jan's green and white umbrella and I didn't get it into my car.  If you have it, let me know.  i didn't think of it when I left because the rain had stopped.   There was some fabulous food - many SF and low cal/high carb foods.   BARBARA,  I want the chicken recipe you made in the pressure cooker and also information about the cooker.  That was sooooooo good and moist and tender.  I want one!!! The list of who was there, as far as losers go, is Janet, Melissa, Susan, Jan, Glenda, Barbara, Julia, Debbie and me.    The accommodations were wonderful.  As Jan has said, the cabins were great and so cheap.   I didn't stay overnight because of scheduling problems but it would have been fun.  I plan to stay next year.   It was so good to meet all the husbands and children.  I kept talking to Janet's kids and they were amazed that I knew who they were and what they liked and didn't.  Janet's two daughters are just beautiful, like their mother and the boys are adorable. There were lovely grandchildren there with Julia and Barbara - such nice young women. I hate calling out names because I always miss someone so please forgive me if I missed you or your loved one. I definitely want to do this again next year.  It couldn't have been a better place - we might need to pitch in some money to pay for at least part of the big cabin next year so we wouldn't be displacing someone and we could use the big living/dining area and deck/porch for gathering and visiting. Again, I want to thank Janet, Melissa and Susan and spouses.  I saw at least 8-10 coolers in their cabin and know that most of them were filled with stuff we all ate.  They went way beyond the "dish to share" rule and I sure appreciate all their efforts.  The kids seemed completely OK with watching videos and playing games in the living area and they are to be commended too.  There was no visible griping from them and I know that's hard when you are cooped up and have no options. Way to go, guys!!! I felt stuffed and uncomfortable yesterday but got back into my routine and by the end of the day felt better.  I think just too much "tasting" of different things.  But it was great good stuff. Hope everyone has a great day - not supposed to rain as much up here today.  Thought about all of you in Joplin area and the flooding. Hugs and loveys, Lana

Hey Lana; Jan has your umbrella. She noticed you had left it so she said she would make sure she brought it to the next circle of friends meeting you would be at. So it is safe and sound. Thank you so much for the compliment on my chicken and noodles. I will get you your information soon. I too, had a great time. Learned so much from all of you. No matter how far out you can still learn something new. The food was great! Even the rain was fun.  I have never been more wet in my life including being in the shower!!! hehe   Count me in next year also.
Hugs; Barbara

Welcome back and glad to hear that you all had a great time! Jan yeah I know that I am just having issues this weekend with the liquid diet and all but I think its alot of stress right now also with other things and it all hit at one time....but I havent cheated and am doing great so far other then a couple times i thought I was gonna lose it on the DH for being an inconsiderate jerk at times but I was controlled enough to just look at him and say You know I love you even when your head is i the wrong place LOL...... We had alot of fun this weekend my 15 yr olds best friend lost his mother to MS in July so this weekend was the first time his dad has really let him go places much without him so he came and spent the weekend with us so that added a bit to the stress levels I think my  younger ones knew his mom and were very inquisitite about it all and Trent was very willing totalk to the kids about his mom...she use to watch them one night a week so they knew her well....well adjusted young man to be 14 and just lost her....my 12yr old girls start dance and musical theatre today this means run run run and run some more...so we have some exciting times ahead of us and just keep at it ..... Hope you all have a Marvelous Monday!!!
