~PLEASE READ-What is the reunion?~

Hi Everybody, It has come to my attention that a lot of you do not know what the reunion is-or who it is for-so I am posting details for everybody so they will KNOW what its ALL about! 1. WHO IS THE REUNION FOR? The reunion is for EVERYBODY who belongs to the Missouri Board-old members OR newbies- Pre-op or Post-op- Young OR Younger (LOL) Regular Posters or Lurkers-no matter where you are in the journey-this is YOUR reunion.....You may come alone, with your spouse/other half-or your whole family-its totally up to you! Everyone is welcome-along with everyone that you love!! 2. WHEN IS THE REUNION? The reunion is the weekend of September 7th-9th, with Saturday, September 8th being set aside just for our reunion day. You can stay the whole weekend, or come JUST FOR THE DAY, whatever works best for you!! 3. WHERE IS THE REUNION? The reunion is in West Branson, at a resort-and it is very reasonably priced-IF you just come for the day on the 8th, there will be a $5 per person (over 5 yrs) charge. 4. WHAT WILL WE DO ON THE 8TH? We will be having a potluck lunch. Everyone is to bring one dish for everyone to share-(or whatever you want) and the recipe for that dish so everyone can take one if they wish. (if you come for the day-there WILL be a place for you to plug in your crockpots or dishes etc with those of us who are renting cabins)  You will also be responsible for your plates etc-so bring your own eating utensils and meat for grilling.....

5. WILL THERE BE ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES? Whether you stay the whole weekend-OR just come for the day, you will be able to swim in the pool, have access to the hot tub, the swimming docks (2 of them) they also have watercrafts to rent if you want. They have a playground for the little ones, they have a volleyball/badmitton net up, they have horseshoes and shuffleboard-all in the same recreational area-and for those who stay late into the evening-they do have a firepit where we can have a weenie/marshmellow roast. We are also going to have some games and an award ceremony.  We dont have a time line so much-as we will just get to know one another better, spend time together and we will just go with the flow.  For those who stay longer than the day, we will have an outing, but arent sure just yet if we will be going to ride the ducks or just what..... We hope you will join us for at least a day of fun and good friends-this is our 1st annual MO BOARD REUNION and we WANT everyone to come and have some fun....IF you think you would be interested-and havent responded before-please just let me know so I can put your name down-if you have any questions or suggestions-feel free to ask or let me know. Thanks for making it clear on the reunion. I am interested in coming down the day of the reunion. I don't have much money right now, so I hope I can at least come down there for that. BY the way, can we actually have marshmallows? Elisa

can we not go ahead and make our reservations now? Am anxious to get them made . am anxiousfor the reunion to happen but that is wishing away the summer isnt it?  Hopefully we will have a big attendance as much work as you have put into it. It sounds like so much fun for everyone to get to meet and greet all the ones we talk to daily. You have worked so hard getting this all lined up and we really appreciate it greatly. Love you Jan

Hi Janet,     Thanks for the info. I'll for sure come with my hubby and maybe the kids (3).I know this is a dumb question ,but we want to bring good foods right? Healthy, not junk? Hi Connie, On the food, we are going to have a lot of people there who havent had surgery yet as well as loved ones who wont or dont need to-LOL-so we dont necessarily have to just have foods for the post-ops. I know for my hubby and kids, they like everything-but dont want to be limited to just what I can eat-LOL...so, I know there will be chips and such there-and thats fine-not all of us are in the same boat....so-on the shared dishes, it would be nice IF everyone could share in it-but there will prob be more dishes than anyone of us could try anyway-LOL I am making my famous baked beans, although I dont like them or eat them-I know post ops, along with anyone-will like them and be able to eat them.....Whatever you bring will be good!!
