Hello, everyone, forgive me for staying gone so long....
Hello all you wonderful people. I am so sorry that I have stayed away so long. Things just started rolling after my surgery. I have had a few problems since I last posted. Apparently I have dropped to much weight and dropped it to fast, ran into a few nutritional issues. I started at 271 and I am now at 171. That's 100 pounds in less than 6 months. I was told that isn't such a good thing. Things are now getting better and I am getting a lot of my strength back. I won't be able to post as much as I did before I stopped posting, I am in school full time, and we are getting ready to move, but I will check in from time to time. Things are going well here, as I hope they are with everyone else. I have missed you all.
Lots of love,
Kat

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY

Jan,
I have no idea what I did. Everything that I was supposed to be eating made me sick to my stomach. All of my plumbing is were it is supposed to be and the surgery was a great success. I guess it was just me and the foods I was not able to eat. I am still only able to get in one protein shake a day, my water, and then dinner, but Dr. H said that was fine, but I really do need to try to get more protein. I guess I am learning the hard way how hard it is to get it all in. He also told me that the body can only absorb about 30 gms. at a time. Any more than that, and it turns to pure sugar. I am having to be very careful on what I eat now. I eat nothing but my protein shakes, water, and mainly chicken. I have not been able to have any kind of dairy at all. Yes, things are getting much better now. I am able to walk a good distance (at least 2 miles at a time). Before, I was unable to do that. I knew something was wrong when my husband and I went to go get our bows worked on and I couldn't even pull it back. We are big into hunting and camping and it was a low blow not being able to pull my bow back. Travis bought me some of those resister bands to help me get my stregnth back. Never in my life did I think it would turn out like this. I mean, I really can't complain, I am almost to my goal. I only have 31 more pounds to go until I reach my ultimate goal, but this isn't the way I wanted it to happen. I just have to look on the brighter side. No matter how many problems I had after the surgery, I am still better off than before I had it. My heart condition dropped a stage and I am not having any more problems with that. That is a Godsend if there ever was one. I have not heard from Julia since January. Last time I was on here, we were supposed to meet when I went to Sedalia for my 1 month follow-up, tried to call her and her phone was disconnected. I checked the forum and she said her phone was stolen. That was the last I have heard. Who else has poofed? I hope all is well with you, and everyone else. No worries now, I am on the mend and doing quite well.....
