So I have gone to see Dr Scott.  I like him very much.  He says RNY is the way to go for me.  Just Monday I went to see the Dietitian and Pysc Dr.  I liked the Dietitian she was nice and put me on a 1400 calorie diet and I'm not really counting calories I'm counting carbs.  Not so hard.  Now I have to see if I lose weight for the next 3 months.  The Pysc Dr made me sad, felt I was defending myself and the need for the surgery.  She also said I have to lose some weight so the insurance company will see I can stick to a diet.   My migraines are back.  Always tired.  I do take a vitamin each day, I'm eating almost all of the 1400 calories each day.  I am having a sleep study done on June 1st  I'm hoping if I have sleep apnea and I get the machine it helps my headaches.  I'm going to the gym 3 days a week.  Doing everything I can to comply.   Anyone have an suggestions to feel more awake and alive and not so tired? Bel, You might try a B12 vitamin.  Most of us take them post-op for energy.  Also, be sure you are drinking lots of water.  Dehydration can really kick your booty.  Congratulations on beginning the journey.  We're here for you. Hugs, Lana

Bel...

I think the world of Dr. Scott as well.  He didn't do my initial surgery but when I was faced with a blockage (years out) he and his partner did that surgery on me.  He is just the sweetest man in the world AND talented to boot!

One thing that I could suggest is that since you are limiting your carbs make sure that you are getting good complex carbs and not empty ones.  Also try to space them out throughout the day so you don't get a bunch of them at once.  Our bodies DO need carbs as fuel and without them spaced out evenly you can get a draggy feeling.

Lana's suggestion about supplementing with b-12 is also a good one.  I take the sublingual b-12 liquid everyday (purchased at wallyworld) and without it I can definitely tell a difference for me.  Ditto on the water as well.  Alot of the times folks will think that they are ravenously hungry on to find out that they were THIRSTY and actually getting dehydrated.  It will also help out with headaches if they might be triggered by dehydration.

Everything else that you have listed sounds like you are really working towards your goal (which is awesome!)...

Best wishes and keep us posted!
