WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Whewwwwww!!!!!!! Now I knew I was old but to have a hyper 6 year old for the week end about done me in lol She is so sweet and precious but I just sure am glad that God takes away the ability to have babies before you get my age lol. Joe and I have gotten into a way of life that is quite and calm and don't have a lot of excitement in it. You throw a 6 year old in there and it sure changes things. She on top of a new puppy too. Joe said I sure was stressing out. I have a picture of her I just took that I will put on my profile. Well I thought I would , can you only put 50 pictures total on the profile? I think I told you all that she named the puppy, Zoey. Different but I sort of like it too. So I guess Zoey it is. And she is quit the whinning so much , did very little last night. She was worn out too from the same said 6 year old lol. So at least one thing good came out of it. Yea !!!! Monday and the meeting is tonight. Cant wait to see everyone again. I wish I had more weight loss to report this month but no such luck. Only 2 pounds. Man that is awful but it could be worse , if I gained 2 pounds that would be way worse. Lol. I am only 32 pounds from goal. But at 2 pounds a month it will take forever. Oh well if I never lost another pound I really would be satisfied actually. I feel so much better than I did before. No comparison. JANET: Way to go on getting that pool patched and painted. That is great. It isnt suppose to rain until probably Wednesday and Thursday. That should give that pool long enough to dry well. Like I told you the bulbs are very small ones but they will grow. And next year you will have bigger ones. Oh tell Jon that I love the name Lilly but they had already settled on the name Zoey before I got his suggestion. But it is a really pretty name. Am anxious to get his thank you note. I will send him some more soon. Is he still doing well on the bathroom issue? My lord that isnt a dog it is a horse. Do all blockhead Labs get that big? No I don't think I would want him after me in anyway. That could be really scary. So glad the graduation went off well last night. And it is good that the ones you didn't want to come didn't . Hope you feel like going to the nephews graduation too. But most of all I hope you feel like coming to the meeting tonight. TAMMY: I know I tried to stop smoking several times years ago by cutting down a little daily but didn't work, the only thing that worked for me was to lay themdown and say this is it no more. And walk away. If you have a pack left just say when these are gone there will be no more. And stick to it. It isnt easy for the first few days but you can do it I have confidence in you. Oh shoot I was really anxious to see you again. But I know how it goes now days , you have to take out a second mortage on your home to pay for a tank of gas. It cost us 66.oo the other day to fill up. And that was before the last raise in prices. MELISSA: With all you might have on your mind no wonder you couldn't sleep. Will the surgery you have Friday be done lap. Too or what? I just hope and pray that all goes well for this one. We will cover you in prayers Friday as well as the surgeon. Yeah my elephant ears some of them are up about 12 inches tall now. Those are the ones that I left in the ground last winter as an experiment, They came back just fine. I had them covered with about 9 inches of straw. And it was a bad winter . So if they made it from last year im sure they will make it having a normal Mo. Winter. These were on the south side of the house too. The ones on the north side of the house that I left in the ground are coming back but are a lot slower in getting going. Good Morning Everyone: Well I am on my way to my Annie appt. Then I have to run a few errands and get back to the house. so I can spend some more time with my sister & my nephew. Boy he is getting so big. He graduated from Preschool last Friday. So on the way into Joplin he was sing us the ABC song and counting. He will be 6 in Aug and count to 100. Smart as a whip and the things that come out of his mouth just floor me. lol Cant wait to see everyone at the meeting tonight. I have definalty been looking foward to it for awhile now. Got all my errands ran yesterday. Then came home put everything away, cooked supper, my sister showed up. We ate and cleaned up the kitchen. Then she wanted to go run some errands. We wen to Target, starbucks, shakeys, Food for less, stopped by the old house (garage) and blew up Ezra's bouncy ball. Got home and unloaded everything into the big garage and came into the house. We got back here to Carthage around 11pm last night. I swear between my errands and my sister pulling me thro Joplin. My knee last night send me a message that it was moving if I kept that up. lol Okay I just wanted to check in with everyone. Had a great weekend and it looks like it is going to be another beatiful day today. I will be seeing soe of you at the meeting tonight. For those that dont make the meeting try and come sometime. Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ Jan-I had to chuckle when I read your post....thats life at my house everyday-ecspically after 4 when the kids get off the bus~When ALL of the kids are gone at one time, and the house is totally still-Mike and I just sit there and almost cant function because of the deafening quiet-LOL LOL~ Jan-I just saw the weather report-and about threw my coffee cup at the TV set-rain most of the week starting tomorrow? IF that pool doesnt seal and the paint comes off because of the rain-you WILL hear me screaming all the way down in your part of the country-we thought we would have a full week-thats the reason it got done-not sure 4 days will cut it-ecspically in the stair area. We may try and throw a couple of big tarps over it and secure them on the chain link fence.....Dang it~ Jon has NOT had one, NOT ONE accident in almost 2 weeks-I am "so happy" I would do my famous baby circle dance right now-but the back wouldnt take to it very well-I am just overwhelmed and so pleased! He wears underwear ALL day and I do still put a pull up on him at night-but he hasnt even had an accident at night. YAY.... No, I dont think all blockhead labs get that big-or at least his parents werent~LOL~We were going to show him-because he is one of the most beautiful labs I have ever seen, and his color is really vibrant and shiny-but he is TOO big~the friend we got him from, Jason-when he saw him again-his mouth just fell open and he asked us if we were feeding him miracle grow? Heck no-couldnt afford that. I can tell you one thing though-I feel very safe having this dog as my alarm and I know when he is in the house-NO ONE, and I do mean NO ONE who doesnt live here, will be coming through that front door IF they want to keep all their limbs attached. It funny, last fall when we were having estimates done on the roof (the owners) I was on my way home (on what we call DEATH HIGHWAY-its ALL hills and curves) and this truck was on my a$$, I could see his grill in my back window (the back of my car is flat too-no trunk) well, I tapped the brakes to get him to back off-cause he was scaring me-well-he would back off and then come charging at me like he was gonna ram me-and he kept it up-3 or 4 times-I turned on Kodiak-and so did he-I turned in my driveway and so did he (now my driveway is 1/4 mile long) got up by the house and asked If I could help him with something and he asked if I was Ms. Newland-said no-he said well, I am here to give an estimate-and I said-no, we dont want YOUR estimate-please leave-and instead-he goes and gets his ladder out of the truck-and I told him again that IF I tell Ms. Newland WHY I denied his estimate-they would never go with him anyway-and he ignored me-so...I walked over-opened the fence for Dozer and let him out-as soon as he saw Dozer-he threw that ladder back in his truck-gave me the finger and took off-and the whole time I stood there laughing out loud!!! That dog was going for his butt when he jumped in his truck!! I hope the jerk crapped his pants-like he did to me (with Jon in the car) going down the road! Graduation was good....My daughters are going to Vegas on Weds and coming home the following Weds. Well, actually-they are going to Flagstaff Arizona for 3-4 days, and then heading up to Vegas. They will be seeing family that they dont remember because the last time we saw them, they were 6 and 1. My stomach is in knots over it-I hate it that I have to trust the sperm donor and his mom to be decent around the girls. Since they already have the plane tickets-I told the girls IF they have to-they can pay a little extra on the tickets to get an earlier flight and to call me and I would figure out how to get it paid. I didnt make it to my nephews graduation after party. We couldnt go to the actual graduation-which was ok with me-it was the biggest class of graduates yet-I think the news said 375....I couldnt have sat in the bleachers that long, thats for sure! His party was at 6 pm and by that time-the pain was so intense, that EVEN with the pills and heating pad-I was crying, so I missed it! Yesterday, my daughter got my hooks out on the front porch/carport area and I hung my hanging plants out there (she did ALL the work for me) then I had her hang some twirly deals out there-and took 2 more big plants out of the house and put out there. It looks a little like a tropical paradise. Mike and the boys spent most of the day on and off picking up rocks on the track and dumping them~so it was a busy day for everyone all around. I still didnt get my whole list done-but close. Weds is the last day of school and 1/2 day at that-Steph and Megan leave on Weds and so I am sure that Steph will be busy packing today and tomorrow-and she also has to get her stuff down to a little bag and a carry on-and cant take all her liquid stuff-so she is up in arms-LOL....we laughed-because when we went to Branson for a week like 4 years ago-she had the biggest duffle bag they make and then a backpack, a pillow, teddy bear and so on....we joked and told her to layer her clothes and wear a couple of outfits at once! I still dont know IF I will be making it to the meeting tonite. I really really want to go-I think being around all of you will be good for my soul-LOL-but not sure my back can handle that trip right now-and I am really worried about Columbia next month-because that is such a long drive-and a really, really long day-but I want to go to that too-havent missed an appt yet~Plus, I want to show Dr. Fearing the tribute to her on my back-LOL...Not sure if I am gonna show all of you though, because on Mothers Day while we were sitting in the grass-while racing-I got ATE UP with chiggers-and I thought maybe I was allergic to the lotion I was using on the tattoo...but Mike and Mel assured me they were bites-but I have scratched and scratched-so its not looking too pretty back there right now! My mom has her test today and Mel has her meeting with the anesthesiologist to get cleared for her surgery on Friday...My moms b-day is Weds-so it looks like another busy week here yet again-I wi**** could be busy with fun stuff, not over shadowed with all of the stuff everyone is going through. Wouldnt that be nice? I hope more people reply to the reunion post....I think we have pretty much determined that Saturday WILL be the reunion day that will be set aside for eating, playing etc-and that sounds like so much fun!! Others that stay 2 nights or more-can do other things on those nights-or even the evening of Saturday IF they want-but I am gonna be chatting it up with my PEEPS-LOL LOL...I am so excited-I cant hardly wait-and to be honest-glad that all the investigating sites and the emails and calls are over with-it was so daunting and it seemed like there was something with one or the other about non refundable deposits and this and that-people want your business-but they want to put all these conditions on it. It got so frustrating-and I just did NOT have ANY luck with Lake of the Ozarks-there was one place that was very accomodating and very nice-BUT-the prices were through the roof-and I knew I couldnt pay those prices, and so I wasnt going to ask others to pay 90-150 per night-per couple-and it was a condo type setting-so no BBQs unless we went way out of our way and so on....it was the pits-and took up a lot of valuable time! Oh well-its over now-and IF we all have a great time and get treated nicely-we can continue to go back every year and they will know what decent people we are-YAY...well, I guess I can only speak for myself-LOL LOL~ (you guys know I am kidding!) **Tammy-hows it going? Hello Missouri, Another great day in SW Missouri. Hope we do get some rain in a day or two (sorry Janet). I just hate hand watering everything. Like to let God handle it. I fell at work on Friday evening and have been battling sore muscles and ribs but I'm sure nothing was broken, just bruised really well. I know what people who get beat up in a fight feel like now!!! Saturday after the gym my next door neighbor and I went up to Springfield to shop and we had such a good time. She's a really fun person and a successful Weigh****cher, below goal and sustaining for a couple of years. Of course she only had about 40 pounds to lose. She's good at it though and understands lifestyle changes, this is her third Weigh****cher attempt and she said she finally had to realize it wasn't a diet but a change of lifestyle. I'm glad it worked for her. It never did for me!!! They yesterday evening DH and I went to Juanita Hammons Hall to see The Producers and it was great. One of the two best performances we've seen there and we go to four a year. It is hilarious. Rent the movie sometime. I am so excited that tonight is the meeting. I'm meeting Glenda Summerlin before the COF meeting and then I'll see all of you at Circle of Friends, OK Claudette!!! LOL!!! It is easy to get confused because KC group meets this night too. I've had a couple of emails thinking I would be in KC! Would love to visit them sometime. Rachel, keep on keepin on. You can do it. Throw those ciggies away. Oh Lana~ Wash your mouth out with soap for making that rain comment~come on now-I am just asking for 3-4 more days of no rain-I will come and water your plants-LOL LOL... And I cant kick you in the butt for saying that for 2 reasons-would have to raise my leg/foot, which in turn would hurt my back AND because you fell and I feel bad for you! LOL-or maybe you just threw that in there-knowing how much I love you and wouldnt want to hurt you-LOL LOL....I love you-and I hope to be able to see you tonite-but I am not too sure IF I will be there or not!!! OK, I'll do my "no rain at Janet's house" dance . Just checked NOAA and they say only 30% chance tomorrow and 40% chance Wednesday so hopefully your pool will be spared. Please don't turn that monster dog on me, OK? I did tell you about the fall so you'd feel sorry for me and not be mean to me!!! Did it work?
