Hi Team, I need some input and support here. OK, I am 25 lbs. down Yeaaaaaaa! Not complaining, but, I am almost 4 weeks out and have not lost anymore for like 2 weeks. Of course the feeling of OK am I going to fail at this too, is pounding at me. I know some of you have been through this so please help me. Am I just going to sit here and look stupid or will this pass? I am still on the jellos, cottage cheese, cream soup and egg stage. Everything is sugar free or low fat plus my 1% milk and protein shakes. I did slack on the liquid intake. But back on track. Doing arthritis exercise classes and water exercise classes at the Y. So what am I doing wrong? Need suggestions. Thanks for your help. PS...... Dr. Hornbostel, if you read this please advise. Charlotte

Hi Charlotte Sweety, you arent doing anything wrong-sometimes we just plateau and yes-EVEN this early on-I did-for 21 days...I did my protein, my liquid intake, vitamins AND my excercising-and know what? I thought-I am the only person in the world that this surgery is NOT going to work for. I called my surgeons office and my NUT, Jennifer assured me that I was normal and everything was fine-and said this to me-IF you are doing everything you are suppose to do-then it is just your body catching up with itself and sometimes this will happen. And in my case, when the scale did start moving again, it was either 1# a day or 2# every other day.....Its very important to get in enough protein and liquids because if not, your body holds onto the fat-thinking its in starvation mode and its protecting its stored fat-LOL....I know its a weird concept...I think, in your case-you are just catching up with yourself-be patient and the scale will start moving again-AND CONGRATS on the weight loss so far your doing great-dont get discouraged-pat yourself on the back-and keep your chin up!! All my love and prayers- Janet P.S. Keep us posted-ok? Oh-6 months out and 146# down.....the scale WILL start moving again!

Janet, Your support and reassurance is so welcome. I know this board is where I need to turn for answers and true advice and help. They always say "Talk to someone who has been there and understands". I can't thank you enough. The relief was so strong I broke down crying just knowing there is a light at the end of my journey. Thanks so much for your prayers and just being there for me. Luv and hugzz Charlotte P.S. I am so proud of you and applaud you for your success on a terrific job well done!

Charlotte i think every one stalls about that stage I remembe thinking the same thing that it wasnt going to work for me. that i had did it all for nothing. Was so emotional at that stage but finally i saw the scales start to move again. I am within 32 pounds of my goal now. and am only losing maybe a pound or 2 a month, im 9 months out but it is better than gaining a pound or two a month. Keep your chin up , smile and work out, and walk and drink plently of fluids. that is the one thing that is really hard to keep going for me. when i do i lose when i dont i dont. lol Jan

Charlotte, When was the last time you lost 25 # in 2 weeks???? You are not doing anything wrong, I bet if you measured you will see inches gone. I see you and I do see the difference. Lets keep doing our "regimen" and don't look at the scale. Keep up the good work at the Y. I am going there now for my swim and play. I love you! Big sister
