just blew presurgery diet!!!
Paul
I dont think you have mesed up your surgery date. Just first thing in the morning get right back up on that saddle. Keep looking at your surgery date. And remembering how long it took you to even get to this point. Nothing I promise will taste better then to have your surgery date here and you joining all of us on the loser's bench!!! You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Please dont be such a stranger to the board. We all will be wondering how you are doing. Who is your doctor and where ar eyou having surgery at?? Do you live here in Missouri or a surround state??
Keep in touch
Mel
Paul, you can do this...I'm not where you are, I only just got my approval from ins. today, and I have wondered how the liquid part is going to be and as I can only imagine, I'm sure it's really (nightmarishly--my word) hard....but think about how close you are and how far you've come in this process and get back on track right NOW, don't put it off until tomorrow, you owe it to yourself...to the long process it takes to get to be only 4 days away from the day YOU have been waiting for....you can do this....good luck...
Hi Paul,
Just wanted to come in and lend my support. I can only imagine how you are feeling and I have no real advice because I didn't have a pre-op diet. But I saw my mother and a good friend from this board live with it.
I'm sure your moment of cheat won't do much harm, just be sure to get right back to things and leave that moment in your rear view mirror.
I want to wish you lots of luck and hope for you a very uneventful surgery day and a healthy, speedy recovery.
Paul Please don't be so hard on yourself... you've not sabotaged your surgery (I broke ranks and ate a rice crispy treat 5 days before my surgery date, just because I knew I couldn't have one afterward). They do a really good job cleaning your gut out before surgery (trust us that know!). You're going to be fine - I understand the frustration of denial and you will be ok in the long run. What you need to do it examine the reason you fell off and figure out someway to try to prevent yourself from losing it again in the future.
Always be Honest with yourself because this surgery won't work if you aren't. Just climb back on the wagon and try your best not to fall off again.
Best Wishes,
Pat B.
