Good Afternoon Everyone: I see that all the Mother's here on the board seemed to have had a great day yesterday. Terry & I got to spend the day at our extended familys house. Cooked out and had a really good time. I am telling everyone Janet's beans that she makes ROCK!!! Now mind you I can cook but this gurl has the best beans I have had in a long time. When we got home last night I buttered a piece of bread and put some beans on it. YUMMY!!!! Janet: Thank you for inviting us over to spend the day with you and the family. Terry & I had such a good time. Tery said he is just about ready to go camping!!! You know how much I am looking foward to that!!! Camp fires and ghost storys!!! lol Today I went back to my appt with my Ortho. Not a good thing I tore some cartliage in my knee. So he gave me a shot in my knee. Oh yea!!! I thought I was going to hurl!!! I can handle shots. After all I was diabetic for 7 years. But it totally wigged me out at the thought that he was sticking that huge needle into my kneecap. I thought I was going to go home and relax. Didnt turn out that way. I got home had to follow Terry down to the Lawn mower place so he could get the blades on the riding lawnmower sharpened. (Thursday Terry goes back to Springfield to see ow his leg is healing and weither he can start applying pressure to it) Then afterwards were headed down to my parents house so we can mow their yard. My father lawnmowers is sick and they have approx 3 to 4 arcers of land to mow. Then we will come home on Friday morning. Okay anyways after we dropped off the lawnmower. I then followed Terry over to Joplin to drop off his moped so they can work on the carbrator. Then went and check the mail. Stopped by the rental house to check on them. Then over to get the windsheild replaced from then the rock cracked it. Back to Wal Mart for milk and a few grocerys. Now I am home the cars unloaded and put in the garage. And I am out of my clothes and into something alot more cooler. My Flipping knee is KILLIN me!!!! I am going to take a pain pill and streach out on the bed for awhile. Tuesday I am cleaning house, going to an appointment, and whatever else I need to do while in Joplin. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. It is so beatiful outside I am almost tempted to get a kiddy pool and go sit out in it. lol But I am afraid the neighbors would report that a beached whale is in Carthage stuck in a baby pool. Looking foward to seeing everyone at the meeting next Monday!!! Take Care Mel

Hello Missouri, I'm home from North Missouri. Tired but happy. We had lots of fun at my class reunion, talked for about three hours. Then Saturday night was the whole school reunion and it was good too. I got lots of compliments on my little presentation. I think it hit the nail on the head for many folks. Then yesterday spent quality time with DD and DGS and had a nice lunch before I drove on home. It is a four hour drive from their house but worth it after it's over. While I'm driving I think it's awful!!! Sounds like everyone had a great Mother's Day. It was so beautiful outside, wished we had planned a wiener roast or something but it was pretty hot. Stacy has five new barn kitty babies that I got to hold and cuddle. They didn't all have their eyes open and they hissed at me when i picked them up. So cute. The momma is pretty wild but she comes up to the house to get food. Won't let DD touch her though. There are 4 or 5 barn cats that she feeds. They sure keep the mice down. I can't wait for our reunion this summer. I think after Labor Day would be great. The crowds aren't as big and the prices sometimes go down. We are going to have the best time, talking-talking-talking. I have been "hungry" today. Now I know it's just head hunger because I still don't feel any tummy hunger yet. If I'm busy and not bored I could go all day without eating. However, when I am bored the first thing I think of is eating something. I have to work on that issue some more. Yesterday for lunch I ate 1/2 of a rare beef filet and some baked sweet potato. It was the first steak I'd had and it went down well. I had no problem. I cut it in tiny pieces and chewed well. Glad to know that it works. No really exciting news here. I love all of you. Hugs, Lana
