Im Home

Hello Everybody!!! I just got home Sat evening. I want to give a BIG HUMONGOUS HUG to all who lifted my name in prayer. I know it was God's mercy and everyones love who kept me here. I was not doing well at all, but I knew I had a job to do. So thanks again to everyone..you'll really have no idea how GREAT it feels to hear that so many people are concerned about "you" ! It just made my heart swell with joy. Im home now and trying to get adjusted to this new life style. Ive been doing pretty good thus far and just wished I could find a more variety of things to eat. I think Im getting tired of the jello and broth already I go back to the doc on Wed. so maybe Ill check out okay and can upgrade to something a little more exciting. Now before I left the hospital I was told that I am anemic now so I guess I really need to get iron in with my multi-vita. I wasn't sure what that meant but now I know....I stay COLD all the time. Oh my goodness. I used to be a hot box but now I feel like I have my own private air conditioner attached to my butt or something My other thing is I keep getting a bloody nose, which I think is weird..but I think it might have to do with having to be on the oxygen. Also, does anyone know how to get c-o-m-f-o-r-t-a-b-l-e when you get home. No bed that I have feels great to sleep in. I think because Im used to sleeping on my side and now I can't. Man oh man..I will be so look forward to the day I can get a nights rest. Well I will chat again tomorrow....Thanks again

Chante so glad to see that you made it home and are on the mend. Yes the cold feeling is a reward from the surgery or a curse which ever you consider it i guess. I dont have any solution to the sleeping i never had a problem. I slept on my left side before surgery and was able to sleep on left side the next day after surgery. Of course my Surgeon doesnt put in drains. So i didnt have to contend with that. We are just so glad that you are home safe and sound , all the rest of it will come. You might try arranging pillows around you in places to get more comfort. Jan

hi chante, so glad your home, as for the comfort thing last night is the first night i was able to sleep in my bed, my recliner has been my best friend. I did use pillows around me last night, and when i woke up this morning i was almost on my stomach, but wasent having much pain...until i moved. so it'll get easier hun, sending prayers up for you for a speedy recovery. hugs ricki

Hi Ricki Im so glad to hear everything went well for you. I too and sending out a shout for you to have a speedy recovery also. Are you still feeling kinda weird right now? I feel good and then I feel tired really easy. Then too maybe because I have company in the hospital and when I got home Ive had a house full of people. It's my sons 9th b-day today I just didn't want him to feel left out of any attention with all that was going on with me so we gave him a b-day party yesterday. Today I can truly feel how tired I am. Well take care Ricki and give me any tid bits of info on your recovery.

Chante, I am so happy you are home ! I know what you mean by the bed being uncomfortable. I slept on my couch for a couple of months . I could angle on my side some and then supported my stomach with a flat pillow underneath-much better. When you are up to it I want to hear about your ups and downs during your hospital stay. We all prayed for you a lot. In the first stage I ate sugar-free popcicles a lot becuase broth tasted like grease to me and I'm not a jello fan. Well Keep me posted. Again I am so happy for you! Thank you for the Mothers Day greeting-that was awesome and brought tears to my eyes~I appreciate you so much.....I am so glad everything turned out girl-I was a nervous wreck~ You know I adore you and love you! Hi Chante, Just wanted to welcome you back home, You will have to let us know how your doing after your doctor's appointment Wednesday. I went out and bought me a recliner this weekend for my upcoming surgery, because I also sleep on my stomach, and figured it would be hard to get comfy. I hope you have mastered the sleeping plan.
