It's for real now!

I did it! I finally completed all of my paperwork yesterday to start the process for my surgery and I sent it off. I didn't think I would ever get all those pages filled out...LOL It feels real now, like I have made up my mind and going through with it. Before I sent in the paperwork it was just like I have been thinking about this now it's real, I am going through with it and there is no turning back now!!!!! I am so excited the only thing left to do is have all of my doctors past and present to send in my medical records and then it's the waiting game which I hate....I'm not very patient when it comes to things like this. But I have to be on the 6 mo. dr. supervised diet anyway so I guess I can wait? I have been walking with my family several times a week and I'm getting where I can walk further without feeling short of breath and dying....lol I have to lose about 25 lbs. before they will do surgery so I have a lot of work to do to get where they want me to be. Bev, Good for you. We will all be on your side, pushing you along. Get that six months started with your physician if you haven't already. It won't be long now. I started my six months May, 06 and had surgery 12/26/06. It seemed so long at first but as I got into it the months flew by. The surgery is worth anything you have to do to get it. WOO HOO!!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Good for you Bev!! The time will pass by before you know it. I know it doesnt seem like it now but it will and you always have the board to come to and post when you need to vent or just get thru hard times. Susan

Dear Bev, WAY TO GO-YOU GO GIRL....and GOOD for you with the walking-pretty soon your family will be asking you to slow down-LOL...Mine do! As far as the 25#-YOU CAN AND WILL DO IT...its funny-I was told I had to lose 34# and I lost 44#-once you get determined-nothin will stand in your way.....On the days you feel like you cant-get on and post and we will help ya-ok? Its worth it and I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work-and hang on girl-its the ride of your life. Nothing they can ever build at the amusement parks could compare to this ride-LOL....We are here for you and I will keep you in my prayers. Love, Janet
