Question about eggs
OK! So far everything I have eaten has been ok. I am still in early stages but time for the long awaited egg. All other dairy has been fine. Ate half of a scrambled egg with non fat cheese and lost it within 2 min. after eating. I know this has happened to others and the questionis: Have you ever been able to eat eggs after that or is it pretty much done?
Thanks lovely people.

I didn't have any trouble with eggs at any time and usually have at least one per day. I would recommend that you try the scrambled egg without the cheese and see how that goes. I know the cheese gives you extra protein, but try just the egg and see what happens. About half of a scrambled egg for about a week was all I could do, but it finally got to be the whole egg. Just chew it very, very thoroughly and slowly and you should be fine. Try it again. Good luck.

early out i had trouble with scrambled eggs or eggs of any kind they are a pretty dence protein. but scramble them soft not completly hard and they are easier to get down. sometimes my tummy still says no to an egg but i try for one at least twice a week. If something doesnt sit well the first time wait a few days and try it again. take tiny bites and make like a train and chew, chew, chew. lol
as Dr. Hornbostel says it is trial and error all the way. Jan
Thanks to the both of you. I had eaten the low fat cheese by its self and it was fine. That is why I figured I would do it with an egg. Maybe my tummy wasn't up for two things mixed together, huh? Will try again next week. I really didn't like the feeling of dumping. LOL I guess I am a full fledged Loser now!!! Good to know that someday I might be able to eat one.

Hey Charlotte,
Sorry to hear about your dissagreement with that egg......
I get to start eating soft solids on Wednesday. Doc says I can introduce one a day to see how I handle things. It's funny, cause my first choice is a scrambled egg......hope i don't have the same problem.....guess it's all trial and error from here on out!
Good luck!
Charlotte,
I about lived on scrambled egg and cheese for the first few weeks of solid foods. Still love them and cottage cheese and SF applesauce. Like Jan said, scramble them really soft, if I get them at a restaurant sometimes they cook them too long and I don't like them. However, they never made me hurl so I think maybe you might have the answer in your chewing and bite size. I KNOW that I have to concentrate on every bite and make sure it is small, slow and chewed. That is the only thing that makes me throw up, eating too fast and too big bites and not chewing well enough. Good luck because eggs with cheese are sooooo good for you.
Hugs,
Lana
Lana,
Thanks for the input and your support. Boy! I do love cottage cheese. I also tried the protein balls the yesterday from the recipe I got from the girls on the board. They are really nice! I will try softer eggs later in the week. A little gun shy now. BUT! My DH made some deviled eggs and I did eat the top of one without the white. It was wonderful and my tummy was happy. LOL
Thanks lots
Charlotte
