How many grams?
Bel
I try to get at least 90 grams of protein a day. I do that by having my protein drink in the morning made with soy milk and my ON protein powder =30 grams.
snacks I have a 1/2 of high protein bar which is 21 grams of protein
the rest i get in real food. I just cant eat enough real food to reach the 90 grams in a day
I get anywhere from 72 to 100 oz of water a day.
carbs as long as i dont eat more than 15 at one sitting is all i really worry about. and Sugar I try to keep it as low as possible. If i eat more than 7 grams at one sitting i get to feeling sick.
Hope that helps you sweetie. Jan
Hi Bel,
I am advised by Dr. Edwards to get at least 60 of protein in daily. More is better. I eat soy protein sausage patty and yougurt for breakfast. that is 14.
Lunch is usually a 20 gm protein lunch
After work I eat our home made beef jerkey which has around 20 gm
Supper has around 15 - 20 Gm.
Sometimes I would really like to eat soup or something that isn't a meat for a meal, but since I don't drink protein shakes I must remember how much better I feel to get in my protein daily. Sometimes it's very hard to eat that much meat and I don't get it all in but I end up feeling weak and tired.
I keep sugar down to as low as possible. I try not to eat more than 7 per serving. I have never dumped....knock on wood.
Carbs, my nut told me that all carbs turn to sugar to eat low carbs, if something is fat free it usually has increased carbs. I try to not eat anything with more than 15 carbs per serving.
I don't count carbs or sugar daily, just keep in check if trying new food.
I try to get in at least 64 ounces of fluid daily. Mine is typically not all water. My Dr. told me crystal light, decaf tea, and sugar free koolaid all count the same as water in his book, but follow your Dr. instructions. I hope this helps, Hugz, Tara.
