UPDATE ON SUGAR

Well they found a large ulcer in her new tummy.& the gall bladder isnt working at what it should be working at but they said they are more concerned with the ulcer at the present. I think they are sending her home with medication to heal the ulcer and try to manage the gall bladder untill the ulcer is healed. Doesnt make a lot of sense to me but Im not a doctor. They want to get the ulcer healed and then will do the surgery to remove the gall bladder unless it gets to acting up more and meds cant stop it. Then she will have to go back in 2 weeks to be checked for the ulcer. The g/b was what was causing the pain in the upper chest area that she said felt like a heart attack and the ulcer caused the pain in the lower bowels they think....So now she has to suffer another 2 weeks i guess. Hopefully the ulcer will be healed by the time she goes back. She did sound a little more hopefull now that she at least knows what is wrong i guess. Jan

Jan and Sugar, Wow I am so pleased that you both know more than you did the other day. I am so sorry you guys are going thru this stress and Sug, sorry you have had the pain and complications. Still praying for you ladies. Hugz Charlotte

Hi Jan, She actually came and saw me in my room, hers was just a few rooms away. I didn't even know she was still there until she came in. I did stop by her room last night to say goodbye, but she was busy and nurse wasn't wanting to wait. I sure hope they get her fixed up soon! Keep me posted! Pam
