I heard once that at least 60% of gastric wt loss patients had to go have their gallbladder removed. I hate that she is going through all this...does not seem very fair. I am glad you are keeping us informed, and tell her we cannot wait to see her again...healthy!

i'm glad that they are finally figuring out what it wrong with her. She still wasnt sure when I saw her last night. Let her know i'm still thinking about her. I had my gall bladder out when I was only 21, after having my daughter, it's very painful to have a bad gall bladder, if that's what it is, no wonder she is so sick. She is in good hands both with her Doc and God! Love ya all! Pam

Jan prayers goign up for Sugar and family! I was wondering if she had the gallbaladder checked pre-op with ultrasound? I know that was part of my pre-op testing I HAD to get done. Mine was healthy but they found I had a fatty liver. As for the hernia....I had one repaired that was found along my OPEN RNY incision when I had my circumferencial lower body lift last May...that was 2 yrs post WLS. I know of another WLS pt who had two internal hernias repaired in St Louis this year, and they had actually constricted his intestine. My husbadn has had a hernie and he's NEVER had any abdomial surgery nor has he EVER been overweight. It's just something everyone is suseptable to. Sugar is dealing with more than any of us should have to and I sure hope and pray things are looking up soon!!! Tami

Oh Jan, I actually hope it is her gallbladder because that can be dealt with pretty easily. I had mine removed at least 20 years ago and it was an open surgery and hurt like the devil but not as much as a gallbladder attack!!! Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop and please let Sugar know I'm praying for this to finally be resolved. Love you both, Lana

I certainly will say a prayer for Sugar! If she has a bad gallbladder that could be a big part of her abdominal pain. Having a bad gallbladder hurts like H-E-double hockey sticks! I had mine removed 9 years ago after the birth of my son. I think gallbladder pain is just as bad as having a baby! Also the surgery wasn't that great either. So I wish her well
