Insurance says its a GO - now I wait and wonder whats the next step?

Hi Everyone. Its been a long 7 months waiting for my RNY. I am 53 years old divorced Mom of 2 and Grammy to 3 wonderful grandchildren. Have been overweight most of my life and am so looking forward to getting and staying healthy. I have been to 2 support meetings and will continue going to them. Any suggestions for getting ready for my surgery?

Congratulations! What insurance do you have?? I am having a horrible battle with my insurance and it is refreshing to see an approval pop up!

I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield of tennessee as CHS Hospitals (my employer) are based in TN.  I was very surprised that it only took 10 days once all the paperwork was submitted to get the approval.  I have worked toward this for almost 8 months and was ready for them to deny my first application - WHEW!!!

I was really surprised when I got a phone call from a case manager for BC/BS assigned to me.  She said she was there to help me.  Has anyone else had this service from your insurance companies?
