HELLO EVERYONE!!!!

HI , Iam in California, Missouri tonight. I came to Columbia with my sister Leta and her appt with Dr. Scott..She has lost 110lbs. and six months out we are all proud of her. Iam doing ok. I got to meet alot of people at the dr. office. There were two new ladies who are going to join us on OH. SO be looking for Them..Iam getting excited about June 19th in Sedalia, I hope to see alot of you. Keep up the good work everybody and remember KEEP YOUR PANTS ON and dont LOSE THEM...LOL......Love and God Bless Craig Lee

Hi Craig! I told you I'd make it here tonight! I saw the doctor after you and your sister left. He wants even more testing, as I could have a condition that would make the surgery too risky. I think the doctor said 'it would be contraindicated'. *sigh* I've only found out in the last month that my health was such a mess. (And here I thought I was feeling pretty good.) I'm a bit discouraged, but I'm glad to know this now. And I want to make sure I'm healthy enough to survive this procedure before I any final decisions. It's been quite a day. Glad you told me about this board. Looking forward to getting to know all yoose folks. ff

Welcome Fannie Farkel. love the name. Glad to have you on line with us. I hope whatever the illness is that you have can be fixed so that surgery is an alternitive for you. But if not we are still here for you. There are people on some of the boards that are on for the friendship and support they can get , and that is wonderful. We are here to support you no matter how or why or when. Questions ask away. No experts except the ones that have had surgery and know the answers that worked for them. Jan

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! I can tell you folks are going to be great! I have spent most of the day getting my medical records sent to Columbia, and trying to get the additional consultation appointment made. I can see this process is going to take at least another month. But what's that when you're talking about your whole life? Right? I'm going to keep on keeping on. And if this next doctor says I'm too risky for the surgery, at least I'll know. I'm glad all this has happened actually. It's good to know the risks... Thanks again for the warm welcome. This place is great!

Hey buddy was great talking to you the other day. You sound better , Hope all is going well with you. and you are eating better every day it sounds like. Take it one day at a time and remember you have to have a certain amount of food to do well. Love you Jan
