I Know It's Been A While.....

Hi everyone. I know it's been a while since I stopped in to say hi but things have been a little crazy around here. I have been lurking and trying to keep up on everyone and have definantly been keeping everyone in my prayers. Well, I recently celebrated my first new birthday. I can't believe it's been a year since my surgery. At my one year weigh in I was down to 258 pounds. Not bad considering I started at 459 pounds. That's a total of 201 pounds in a year not to mention the 110 3/4 inches I have lost. My life is so different now. I have even begun a new relationship with a very sweet man. Something I thought I would never do again. My weight loss was featured in a local paper here in West County which was very exciting. In the last couple of weeks I have had 2 surgeries. First I had a cyst removed from my head. It was done outpatient and was nothing serious. Then last week I had a hernia repaired. I had the hernia before my RNY but Dr. Richardson couldn't repair it with mesh during the gastric bypass because he already had me under anesthesia for 3 hours instead of the one that he wanted. So needless to say the hernia came back and this time caused me a lot of pain even though it was a lot smaller than the original one. I ended up spending the night in the hospital after the repair but basically because I am a wimp when it comes to pain and I wanted the heavy drugs. lol But I am healing fine now and getting back into my regular routine with the exception of working out at Curves. And let me tell you, I never thought I would ever miss working out but I do. It is driving me crazy not being able to work out except for walking. I go for my follow-up appt. next Thursday and hopefully he will give me the ok then. Other than that, I have just been busy with Cody. It's baseball season so there is a lot of practice and games to go to. Well, I just wanted to pop in and say hi and tell everyone I've been thinking about you. Deanna

So good to hear from you once again Deanna. Wow a new boy friend huh? I know you never thougth of that before.
