As most of you know my dog, Jake has been very sick here lately! Thank God, he has come through with flying colors and is his ol self again!! While I was doing research trying to help him, I came across several articles warning pet owners, especially dog owners about a type of glue that could be in their households, it's in ours! The glue is called Gorilla Glue and comes in a light brown plastic bottle. It seems that the dogs are getting into this glue, eating it and then needing to have emergency surgery or are dying! The glue comes out in liguid form but soon turns to solid as most glues do. What is different about Gorilla Glue is moisture causes this glue to swell and when the dogs digest this, it gets moist and swells! They have had to do surgery on many dogs to save their lives! When doing so they have found that this glue had swollen to the size of baseballs, softballs, volleyballs and one was the size of a basketball! Most of us know to keep chemicals and stuff like that up and out of the way! I just want to make sure that everyone knows about this glue because a lot of people have lost their fur friends because of it! The company that makes this glue NOW has to put a warning label on their bottles warning people about the swelling of the glue and the harm it can do to pets and children but still, if you or someone you know uses this type glue, warn them!! Please!! Thank you, Deb M http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=1&cat=1934&articleid=3478 http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc_news090506

Thanks for the warning Debbie. I would not have thought about this problem. We don't have any of that glue but I'll pass this information on to my fur friends. Hugs, Lana
