WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY
Well I went ahead and planted my Tomato plants they were just way too big to keep in the pots they were in. I had transferred them up to gallon pots and they were root bound in those and beginning to start to show signs of stress so I will just have to watch the weather really close. They all have tomatoes on them and one plant is already turning the tomatoes in color. I have them planted along a fence to climb on and also if it does turn off cold I will have something to hang a blanket on to protect them from it.
Garden Tip: One of the best things you can keep to give your flowers , and vegetables is a small handful of EPSOM SALTS. Wonderful to use when you are transplanting. Water well also when you transplant. Lay your hose down and let the water run at a slow speed for several minutes to be sure and water the roots well. The Epson Salts will dissolve and give them a good dose of what ever is in there. Great root booster.
Janet I think I must have written something wrong or something yesterday. Don't cut the tops off of the tulips and daffodils until after they have dried up . You don't really have to do that if you don't want to. The energy they store from the sun into their bulbs thru the leaves is what makes them bloom next year. Do not dig them up. If I said something that interpreted to that im sorry. Didn't mean that lol
BRENDA: Wow on the weight loss. I can only dream about getting to 100 pounds of weight lost. Maybe one day. That is my goal to do that but I have 33 more pounds to go to have a weight loss of 100.
Hope that the doctors have found what is causing your granddaughters problems that is sad that it could be one of the meds that she is taking that is suppose to make her well from something else. Will keep her in our prayers.
VESTA; Are you planning on coming to the support meeting on Monday the 23rd? I sure hope so I bet you have lost a lot haven't you? I am going to bring the pillow cases to see what you think you can do with them ok? No pressure if you cant that is fine.
Looking forward to seeing you. Is your daughter that is going to have wls coming too?
LANA: Yeah the new plumbing will certainly remind us if you don't do right doesn't it. Sometimes it kicks us good.
Oh yes I am really getting anxious to see everyone again . Just seems like the meetings go by too quickly. And then it takes so long for the next one to roll around.
DEBBIE M.: So very good to see you posting again. I though I was going to laugh myself to death from your story about chasing out the birds ou t of the house . And I can hear Wyno yelling and wanting to help you .lol. You should have had a video of that .
Oh don't count your roses out yet, even if the frost was so heavy at your place to crinkle all the leaves. They more than likely will come back. Give them good drinks of water and watch them . Mine just had a few leaves here and there crinkled but they are already putting off more new leaves.
Good thing is that you didn't have your young trees planted when the frost appeared or they would have been history for sure. Anything that hadn't had at least a couple of years of growth to it might not have made it.
Im so glad that Jake is starting to get better. Did they ever know what was the cause of it?
With your loving care surely he will pull through.
MELISSA: So good tosee you back on. I miss you when you aren't on here every day.
I have been to that Drive inn Movie once when we lived over that way. That is something that we may do again this summer. I wish they had more of them at places I would go to the movies more if they had them back.
Glad your fil ate something this morning . How was he the rest of the day? I know you have him an appointment to see his doctor don't remember when you said tho.
Will keep your cousins husband in our prayers.
Oh I hope that Terry will soon be back up and around. I guess with the hard cast he will be able to do more?
Will you be coming to the meeting Monday? Hope so anxious to see you .
Love you girl.
JANET: LoL I still don't know what the Hummers was suppose to mean , I had thought I had heard everything but guess not. Lol.
Be sure and check the above about the foliage on tulips. Don't cut it bac****il it dies then you can cut it off if you want. You can just leave it lay there. I take it out only if I have planted something else in there and it is on top of them.
I do have a tiered planter with strawberries , last year was my first year with them. I did find out why they are called strawberries. Most people much them with straw. Lol
Never knew that. I am just learning on these but they gave me several handsful of berries last year and this year they are covered with blooms. The deer and rabbits aren't a problems because my dog , Rebel keeps them run off. If the birds get at them too much I will have to put a net over them.
On your fruit trees I would hesitate to tell you anything on them since I have never grown any of them. But check with your feed store or call the extension office and see what they recommend. Ok?
Well that was a mess with the daughter and her boyfriend wasn't it? That is sad that she cant see what he is. But maybe eventually she will open her eyes.
Did she not know this about the papers and all? I hope it will still work out.
Daily therapy sessions are 25.00 and hour. Will send you a bill. Lol
Did you get all the things done yesterday that you wanted too? Sounds like you meet yourself coming and going with all the things you have going on around you all the time. Hope you are going to be at the meeting Monday night. Are you planning on it. You have a sitter this time?
CRAIG: Hey buddy how are things going. I hope you are feeling better than the last time you were on here. Sorry to hear about your back pain. I see you are drinking more how about your eating are you eating more than you were? I sure hope so I would hate for you to have had the wls and be sick from losing way too much weight.
Take care buddy. Are you still planning on making the Picnic in June? Hope so.
COLETTE: sounds like you really had a good time in Vegas. Lots to do huh? I know how you feel about getting home tho. No matter how much you enjoy your trip it is always good to get back home in familiar surroundings. How is your husband? Is he any better , did anyone ever come up with a diagnoses for him? Good luck on your meeting this coming Monday night. Ours is down here on Monday night too.
Hope you have a house full.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

Happy Thursday everyone!!
I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday, I was so frustrated it seemed like I was getting the run around for the last two days between doctors office, psy. eval. and Medicaid! Long story short is, I was told that my stuff was sent to Medicaid on the 10th of April for an approval, and according to Medicaid they never got it. What the heck!
I called the doctors office back and they said yes they did send it!! Which led to another Medicaid call who said no paperwork was received! Another call to doctors office which led to me having to leave a message for the person who was supposed to send it. They told me on the last call, that I was the second person today that had the exact same problem with being told that my paperwork was sent over a week a go. Then I found out that they are not sure if they can use my psy. evaluation because my psyciatrist (been seeing almost a year) is a resident psy. and they dont know if it is good enough to start scheduling my other tests yet. I would have to wait until my doctor got back (next weds) to see if he would accept it. I dont understand this psy has been prescribing meds to me for almost a year. I know that I need to be patient, but you all "been there, done that" and there are sometimes ya gotta come here and blow some steam!! I am glad I have a place to do this, thanks to all!
Well, enough about me, "this to shall pass",LOL!
JAN Thank you for the information about the sunflower vines. I dont think I ever mentioned it to ya, but they are one of my favorite flowers!! I also heard you talking about your yellow chain tree, I have never seen or heard of them before and I came across a picture of one today. They are Beautiful!!!!! Are they hard to grow?? How long do they flower like that?? I tryed to find if you posted where you get your flowers and plants from, but I could not find an old post to tell me.
TAMMY OMG........... I have heard of your meat well done but good grief!!!LOL I hope you are doing okay, you are my angelette sis, and you know I am here for you.
DEBBIE M I am glad to hear you and Jake are feeling better! I have never heard of "Toradol shots", I am going to ask my pain management doctor about them next week. I have to have the steriod shots again on the 27th, I would try anything if it ment I didnt have to have those again. Thanks for the info.
MEL I love drive INs!!! Are you talking about the 66 Drive-IN? We have one kinda close to St. Charles, its in Beleville, IL. Its only about 45mins from our house. We ususally go every 2 or 3 weeks in the summer. They are really great to get a bunch of people to go and sit outside the car in lawn chairs, heck we have been known to grill up some hotdogs there on the portable grill, lol. Thanks for reminding me. I hope Terry and your fil are each doing better. Good to hear fil feels like eating. You all are in my prayers.
Lana Sorry to hear about you feeling bad, but glad you are starting to feel better now.
Wings The stuff you go thru, I dont know how ya get thru your days. You are one strong person. Girl, you gotta think about writing a book!! (If nothing else you could beat the hell out of your daughters "boyfriend" with it.) Thanks for the info on the racing your doing, it doesnt surprise me that you want to really get on the track with a real car,LOL. I am praying for you and your daughter that everything will still work out with her funding. Congrats on the Nova!!
Oh yea, I guess I will see all of you at the meeting on Monday! Yep, hubby and I are coming down to meet you all. Just cant stand not having a face with these names. (Guess its the skip tracer in me,) LOL! I am looking forward to it. We are going leave on Saturday and take our time maybe stopping half way. My back dont let me ride in a car over a couple hours. Take care and see ya all in Springfield. Love Susan

Susan,
How exciting that you'll be at the meeting on Monday night. WOO HOO!!! I think we're going to have several first-timers at that meeting. We just love to be able to see the folks we talk too every day!!! And, you'll love the other people at the meeting who don't post regularly. It's a wonderful resource, full of good information. So glad that you are going to be able to be there.
Hello Missouri,
I'm finally feeling back to normal. Definitely think it was just mechanical, my old poor eating habits trying to sneak back in. Chewing well and small bites fixed the whole problem. I am so thankful every day for this surgery that has given me back my life and taken away my health problems. And as a bonus, I have so many new good friends. I love you all.
Hugs and love,
Lana
Good Morning Everyone:
I thought I would pop on here before I retired for the night. Since I will be up and at them early in the morning. Helping Terry get ready for his doctors appt. And getting myself ready. Didnt really do awhole lot of anything today but rest and enjoyed the day. Did make it to return the movies we rented and Wal Mart for gas card to fill up. Been playing with the phone I got today in the mail. Downloading new songs and attaching them to the people in my address book. lol
Tommorow were headed for Springfield to get a hard cast on Terrys leg/ankle. He still wont be able to apply ANY pressure to it for at least 4 more weeks. Good thing about it is that his arms are getting really muscular Hubba hubba. lol I know he is ready to be off and running but not yet says the doc and of course me.
Dad has done pretty good today. He has ate on and off all day long but slept when he wasnt eating. But at least he is eating more now. Okay I love ya'll but I need to help get dad into bed. Let the dog in for the night. And make sure Terry has his meds taken and something to drink before we crawl into bed. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!
God Bless
Mel

Excuse the rough language in the following story... I would
have deleted them, but the story wouldn't be the same.
A young couple got married and went on their honeymoon. When they
got back, the bride immediately called her mother. "Well," said her
mother, "so how was the honeymoon?"
Oh, mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So
romantic..."
Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned,
Sam started using the most horrible language -- things I'd never
heard before!
I mean, all these awful 4-letter words! You've got to take me
home...,
"PLEASE MAMA!"
"Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "calm down! You need to stay with
your husband and work this out. Now, tell me, what could be so
awful?
WHAT 4-letter words?"
"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so
embarrassed, they're just too awful! COME GET ME, PLEASE!!"
"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your
mother these horrible 4-letter words!"
Sobbing, the bride said, "Oh, Mama..., he used words like: dust,
wash, iron, and cook..."
"I'll pick you up in twenty minutes," said the mother.

Morning Everyone,
I have no news to post. Just stopping in to say hi!
Drive Inn! Where? I haven't been to a drive in since I could wear feety pj's. Someone please give me more information. I would love to go to a drive in. I don't think my hubby has ever gone to one.
I am thinking about having a sleep apnea test done. I am waking with a headache and I'm wondering if that could be the cause. Any information or advice would be great.
It was lovely this morning when I walked Liam (my 7 year old) to the bus stop. I hope the weather only gets better and better.
Hugs,
Bel

there are severa; meetings different places. Since you dont have on your id. where you are from it is hard to say which one you are closest too. Im sorry i guess a lot of ones that have been on here a long time forget how confusing it can become on here. That is why i encourage everyone to put up a picture of themself. it helps identify everyone. Jan
Hi Lynette, I don't know if anyone answered your question or not, but just in case they didn't here is why you feel like things are left out. If it is Friday and we are posting on the "whats happening" post, some of us will answer people's questions that they asked us the day before on the Thursday "whats happening". Basicly we are answering on Friday what we were asked on Thursday. Hope this made sense, I am pretty tired, LOL. Take care, Susan
