frustration abounds!
Did anyone else have the problems I am having with paper work? I tell you, I have had to submit my original papers 3 times; part of my labs went to who knows where, meaning another blood draw; they lost the psyc eval but found it; and now, Medicaid says they didn't recieve my paper work yet. I had my first appointment on the 3rd, and hand delivered approval from my neurologist on the 4th. At that time they said the only thing pending was a signature from the doctor and it would be sent, since the documentation had already been done. I found out that they didn't send the paper work in until the 13th. Why would it take so long to get a signature? I understand that I am not the only patient they have, but I have worked in a doctor's office, so I know what it is like to deal with paper work. I am just royally frustrated! I hope my surgery doesn't go like this.
Elisa where are you haveing your surgery? There are a couple of places that do that sort of stuff on a regular basis. and then there is the otheres that will have a screw up once in a while . Sorry it has to be you that is geting the run around. Hopefully they will find all of your stuff and get it going. Jan
I had similar problems with the paperwork and the authorization process. AND I managed medical offices for years, so I had to suppress the urge to offer to just drive over to the office and take care of it myself!!lol.
Just stay as focused as you can on getting ready. You will get to have your surgery, it is just gonna take some time. One day real soon, they will wake up over there and wham!!! They will give you a few days notice before you will be going into the hospital. It is all a part of the journey.
