So they told me to bring a robe to the hospital with me, but I don't have one. Do they have robes there? I know in past hospital stays they have. I don't want to have to go buy one.... If anyone knows would be great! The hospital called me today for preadmission stuff. She told me I can't take my meds for my back because it is an anti-inflammitory...gonna be rough the next week without it. Especially in my lower back and knees. Hopefully the pain won't get too bad. Hopefully Tylenol will help, she said I could still take that. Pam

The reason they want you to bring a robe is so you can get up and walk. They do not provide robes. I just went out and bought a really cheap, big duster so I had something to cover up. Good Luck! My surgery w/ Dr. de la Torre was two weeks ago tomorrow.

That's what I was afraid of. ugh....... I'll figure something out. Congrats on your surgery! I'm hoping everything goes ok and i don't have any complications. I'm staying positive. I'm just very anxious to get it over with.

Hi Pam, I didn't have my surgery there, but why couldn't you just use another hospital gown and wear it backwards over the first gown? I have done that before during hospital stays. Brenda

Pam, I agree with Brenda, just get another gown and put it on backwards and you're covered - literally. Good luck on your surgery. Lana

Pam, I had my surgery there 2 years ago and I had took a robe from home, but a friend of mine had her surgery in Dec and they just let her use another hospital gown to cover the back. This is so much easier and you don't have to worry about packing anything extra you don't need. They will also provide you with socks with the little grippers on the end so don't worry about taking slippers either.

Thank you so much everyone. I think I will just do the 2 gown thing. I already have slippers. 6 days to go!!!

I took a robe and never used it, the gowns on the 6th floor are huge and you probably won't need it. I didnt. Good luck on your surgery...mine didnt go to well, but that can happen anywhere to anyone! So maybe I was their bad one for the year! lol Sugar

Sugar, Thanks for letting me know. Sorry to hear that things didn't go well. At least you are up, around and on the other side. Doc seems like he knows what he's doing, so i'm sure that he will get you all fixed up in no time. Pam
