UPDATE...Finally, maybe, just maybe...

Jake MAY be taking a turn for the better!! He hasn't had a bowel movement in 24 hours so maybe his intestines are calming down! Also, he hasn't thrown up any of the hotdogs or honey water yet! That has been almost 24 hours!! Praise the Lord! He doesn't go outside by himself because he will eat the grass and that seems to be one of the things making him sick. Janet, our first thoughts were "the tainted dog food" but we stopped feeding Gracee and Jake that and started them on homemade chicken and rice. Gracee never got as sick as Jake but Jake didn't get any better when the dog food was removed. Gracee is back on that dog food and doing fine. Jake won't eat the dog food or the chicken and rice anymore but he sure loves those hotdogs. Who'd a thunk that hotdogs would be the healthier choice?...lol Gracee is acting a little strange like she might be coming into heat! I won't breed her with Jake but I'm not telling him that! With the way she acting and the way he acts around her I think this may be the case. This has lifted Jake's spirit and at this point I'll take anything that helps....we won't let him down just yet! ....lol I feel so bad only giving him 6 hotdogs a day with him weighing in around 110lbs. I guess I have to stick to it or take the chance of him getting sick again and this time, maybe losing him! His ribs are starting to show a little but like David said, what do you expect with him being sick for 2 weeks! I guess it's a mommy thing...my babies have never been fat but that were never skinny either! Janet...thank you sooo much for your inspiring words! That meant a lot to me!You will never know how much you have helped me through this! You and several others, with the praying and wishes of better health for me and Jake have helped us through some pretty dark days! Neither of us are out of the woods yet but I definately can see a clearing in our path! Thank you, EVERYONE again for holding us up in prayer! God is alive and answering our prayers! A recovering, Deb

Oh Deb, What sweet, sweet music this praise report has to my ears....Like I said before, we are just claiming healing in Jesus name, AMEN...We are kicking the dumb ol devil right in his rear and sending him back where he belongs. We are NOT going to allow him to have this much fun with all of us-and when others are weak, thats when the rest of the prayer warriors come into play and really make a difference. I know Jakes ribs showing freak you out, but EVERY SUMMER, my retrievers ribs would start showing because of the warmer weather and his shedding-so maybe its a combination of all 3 things. Maybe up his hot dogs-LOL....I am so pleased. I loved my Buddy with all of my heart and your Jake reminds me of my Buddy so much. So beautiful and they are so devoted and faithful and brilliant dogs. He was one of my best buds too-so I knew exactly what you were talking about. Always there for a kiss or a hug-and always my shadow. He was one of the best dogs I have EVER had! I hope you are feeling better today as well. Please continue to keep us posted. If you want to email me directly at ANY time- its [email protected] And I will continue to lift you both in prayer for divine healing and health. Amen. Love you, prayers, thoughts and hugs sent your way. Love, Janet
