Well another day that im stuck inside. I cant stand that cold weather. But I shouldn't complain all this rain is a redeeming rain because after that frost we had that ruined a lot of things that were coming up this will be what will help them to come back. So I guess I should be thankful im just impatient. Speaking of the frost and it killing things. Someone was saying that it got their Hostas. I doubt if it killed them. Go out and look at them really well . Are there any of the leaves under neath that look good or even halfway good? If so trim off all the limp burnt leaves and if it stops raining give them a good drink about every other day. They may not be as spectacular as they would have been other wise but hopefully they will live. This more or less applies to about any flower or bush. If they don't bloom this year may just be what happens at least it will weather over and next year should be good for them. I would say on the trees and bushes that if they don't have a new set of leaves back on my June 1st they may have died. But I would still wait until next spring just to be sure. So there you have my gardening expertise today lol According to the weather bug on my computer it shows that we are suppose to start getting warmer and prettier starting Today (Sunday) I know I am ready. I don't care if it rains a couple of days a week but let us have some sun in between Lord. TRUDY; Good to have you back home. I know you really enjoyed the grandbabies. Oh what a bother to have to find another surgeon. That is really a mess to have to do all of that again. I know how that is. My Eye surgeon is closing his business. And I was going to go and have him remove this astigmatisim off my left eye so everything would stop being blurry. And now I will have to find another doctor unless I can get him to do it anyway. He is closing the first of July and my appointment is the 25th of June. Don't know. That is a shame about your youngest grandson. Will continue to pray for the walkers and others in the thing to produce money for that disorder. TAMMY-AMMY : thank you for mentioning Sugar. I feel so much better now that she is posting it must mean that she is getting better. She is having such trouble taking her vits. She has tried liquid, chewable and tried swallowing and she says they gag her and she cant take any of it. I have been looking to see if there is injectables of the multi-vit. Does anyone know? I know there are of B=12 and also of B-complex . both of those have the injectables but don't know about the multi and that is one that she cant take too. You know I have a theory about why we have had so much sickness and trouble on here lately. We have been praying for everyone and we give praises where they are due and you got to know that makes the Devil very very mad....so he is attacking people right and left trying to get us all stired up that why is all of this happening to all of us. We are Christians., we pray, we love the Lord. Maybe the devil is testing us to see if thru adversity we still will pray and sing Halallue to him . Well I for one wont be swayed I will always in love with Him and always be ready to serve him in anyway possible. Oh Pam Ks. Opereation is on the 25th. / Hey we cant take credit for making you a jabberbox lol. SHERR: Oh sweetie sounds like the devil is really trying to get you for some reason. You are having some really horrible things happen to you . Glad you got rid of the contractor that was doing such horrible work. Ouch on having the Shingles. That is really bad. very painful. Where do you have it ? on your abdomen or back? I hope you get it under control soon. Poor little Baily and the tumor under his arm pit. We will continue to pray for him too. '11 pounds from goal wow that is a good thing girl. You have really lost the weight fast. I know you have been sick a lot but at least you are a skinny sick now. Lol. Trying to make you laugh. Love you and we all care about you a lot. Get well so you can have a good time in life. There is a lot more there than all the bad things that have been happening to you. I will pray that you find something to laugh about soon . Hang in there baby. There is a silver lining . Your new living room color sounds pretty. Did you finally decide on the Pearl ? Maybe look like you are inside a seashell. Very retro, early moviestar Sounds like it would look great on you . Will continue to pray for you and yours. JANET; I know what you mean about the weather. Probably when it does turn warm it will go to the other extreme and be 100 degrees all the time. You think? Yeah we will see about next week. What they say may change 15 times before next week. Janet around your pool maybe big pots of marigolds with some petunias in them too. Use the wave petunias they will trail down and out of the pots. Use huge pots for a good impact. Both of these flowers like sun and don't require anything more than a good watering every few days. Of course you know that pots of flowers dry out faster than in the ground so remember that . Don'****er small amouts often water large amounts of water , enough to run out the bottom of the pot. Small amounts of water will cause them the roots to try to come to the top of the pot and then dry out even more much faster. When you buy the marigold seeds or plants. make sure you are getting the dwarf marigolds. Get the wave petunias. You can have some wild impacts of color with these too combinations. The marigolds will be in orange, yellow, reds and combinations of these colors. So pick petunias that are a good combo with these colors. Or instead of petunias you could put sweet potato vines in with the marigolds. They come in dark purple, and in lime green would be good with the marigolds. Go to the nursery and try some marigolds agains different vines. Just make sure they like lots of hot sun. LoL I don't know if they sell dried horse poop anywhere or not. But you can use any animal poop will work. If you know of someone who has a stable or barn or chicken house or rabbits cages. Ask for some free poop. Most people are anxious to get rid of it. Expecially stables. That is why I use horse poop. My brother has this huge stable that he trains horses at. And has these mountains of dried old horse poop mixed with wood shavings piled in back of his barn. He beg people to come and get all they want. Congratulations on 130 pounds lost that is amazing. Everyone seems to be losing this enormous amount of weight but me. I think I will go back on nothing but liquids for a week and see what happens. You think I would lose anything? Yesterday was my 8th months and I had only lost 1 pound this month. Gosh no fair. Did it stop snowing there? Or do you have a couple feet of snow ? lol VESTA: I don't take the Ultram every day most of the time the flexaril helps more than the pain meds do. Most of the time I don't let myself notice the pain too much. The more I keep going the less it hurts me. It is when I stop that I hurt. Then I take a hot bath in our big whirl pool tub and that helps too. Sometimes I take a nap in the day time but it doesn't matter whether I do or not . I sleep about 3 hours max. and then am wide awake. I just cant make my self lay in bed without sleeping. I have to get up and do something. I started taking this med Requip for restless legs and it seems to be helping some. WE just get the rock I use for landscaping around the lake, up and down the roads sides , along the creeks and rivers. Anywhere. A friend of ours is building a new house and we have picked up a lot of them from his place after the bull dozer came in and pulled them up out of the land. Come over one day with a big truck and we will find you a big load of them. They are everywhere. I bet you will make it to a 9 in size just keep on going..... SUGAR; Wow you must really be feeling better. You are posting on the board not once but in two places. I loved that story that you put on your post. That is a good way to live your life When it feels like all is lost we never know what God has in store for us. Bel: hey so you are going to be a grandmother. Is this your first one? Sounds like you had a nice birthday with the kids. I don't know how you manage to do anything with a migraine, let alone paint. You sure all the paint smell isn't what is giving you a headache. It does me, not a migraine but a headache anyway. Hey didn't you know this is a perfect day to plant roses, in the rain. Lol. Did you see the package they came in or anything saying what type they are? Just was wondering. Im sure they will give you lots of enjoyment. Well after typing this all up I talked to Sugar and she has been out to eat today and then to wal-mart Praise God she is going to live. Lol. But yea she is feeling so much better was like a light switch turned on. WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO ANYONE THAT LIVES CLOSE TO MONETT THAT COULD TAKE A FUTURE WEIGHT LOSS PERSON TO DR. EDWARDS SEMINAR MONDAY NIGHT THE 16TH. PLEASE SEE HER POST ON THE BOARD. AND IF YOU CAN HELP HER PLEASE EMAIL HER. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Hi Jan and OH Peeps~ Well, the first thing I noticed when I got out of bed was that the SUN was coming up. No clouds, no SNOW, and no rain-WOOOOO HOOOOO....We may be able to get outside for a bit today and enjoy it-cause no telling how long it will last...LOL...I will take advantage while I can-hurting or not. Oh Jan-THANKS for the tips-I WILL do that. My only question now is-do I wait to do that until May 1st or after? I will do the marigolds and petunias. My grandma also planted those every single summer-and I remember them blooming constantly-I just never have had a green thumb-but I sure love to see the flowers blooming. I have some very large outdoor pots-and I will get some more and put them around the pool right in the decorative rock out there and then every other day, turn the hose on and water the heck out of them. We keep the hose out there in the summer so we can add to the pool water a couple of times a week anyway. I will also take pics and post them so you can see what your advice did-before and after-LOL.... As far as animal poop-do dogs count? I am telling you-my biggest dog, Dozer IS the size of a shetland pony or bigger-and there is plenty of poop out there to shovel-but I usually just rake it up and bag it. So would that work? Although-I am a gagger when it comes to poop~plus we have a bunny.....Maybe I can throw the kids a couple of bucks to get the poop-really not sure I can do it without vomitting-LOL.... Jan, I ALSO feel that your theory is right about the devil trying to attack us~We have been such a tight knit family here-that I believe the devil hates the fact that we all care so much about each other and we pray for each other and IF he can divide us or make us doubt our faith, than he wins-but with our board-we just kick him in the butt and send him back where he belongs, in Jesus name-AMEN!! Jan-I HAD/HAVE A LOT more weight to lose than you do/did-thats why I am taking it off faster. The more weight you have to lose-the faster its gonna come off in the beginning. Your starting weight is probably about right where I am now-or maybe even less-I dont know. Yesterday I finally shared with my mom how much my before weight was-and I made her guess (honestly) what my before weight was-and she was off by almost 100#.....so-I still have a ways to go-I want to lose at LEAST 80 more pounds-and 100 would be perfect for me. I KNOW I will never be skinny-and that wasnt my aim with the surgery-my aim was just to have a regular life-be able to take care of my family-and be a part of their lives-and to take care of myself without a wheelchair-which I Was told I would be in by the end of 2006 without taking off weight. I did use a wheelchair when we would go on vacations or shopping-and I am so glad I no longer have to do that!! All I know is that those steroids they injected into my back brought back an appetite I havent had since surgery. I seem hungry ALL the time-so I am eating my protein balls like crazy, doing my shakes and eating little salads or whatever-I have lost 6# in 3 days and I believe its because I am able to eat AND keep it down-and so by body isnt trying to protect its reserve-I keep thinking, HOW can my body want to protect that much fat? LOL....I know I am still big-just want to make sure with my eating it doesnt slow it down, but it hasnt, I am living proof of the theory I guess. I wish I was 11# from my goal-LOL...Sherr-I know its been a hard ride to goal-but you are almost there and I hope and pray with each passing day it gets easier for ya!! Thats amazing to be that close to goal this early out!! Trudy-So glad to have you as an angelette-Im excited to go through this journey with you-and I really hope that this next surgeon you meet with-WILL BE THE ONE....I know it must stink to THINK you have some issues out of the way and have to start over. I did that too-and I got discouraged-but something about the other place just wasnt meant to be. The good Lord knows-and so we are going to leave it in his hands-and his plans and he knows when and where!! We will keep you in prayer that there will be no more delays like that and we will hang on for the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime! Im glad you got to go on vacation....I have been dreaming of that for a couple of years now....Mike hasnt been able to take a REAL vacation for over 3 years now due to the lack of competent help at his job and he is the manager. We are hoping to get one this summer sometime, even though we may not be able to get out of town, it will be nice to kick back and relax and play! Tammy Ammy-How is the diet goin, sweetheart? I hope you are keeping your chin up and not getting sick of me~LOL...I know its tough, I was there and I remember just having a better day when I knew someone was thinking of me-AND making me accountable for what I put in my mouth. It was always so much nicer when someone would say to me-Nothing tastes as good as to hear your Dr. say you have a date-and I always focused on that saying-and now with Jans Keep your eyes on the Prize-I have adapted that one as well. IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT....so just hang in there, keep your chin up-and when you feel like you might slip-call your angel(s)....thats what we are here for darlin!!! You have already experienced some WOW moments-and I want to say-there is soooo much more to come-just keep thinking of that!! Love ya. So glad to see Sugar on board with us....YAY.....Hope she can make it to the meeting AND without the stinking drain-LOL...I am glad she is feeling better....OUR prayers were WAY MORE POWERFUL THAN THE STUPID DEVIL!!!!! Wish we had an update on Julia-Has anyone heard ANYTHING? Please post and let us know how it went. She is in our prayers. Rachael-so what was the total on the fundraiser? I know Mel called and said that at one point it was 15 grand? ALRIGHT!!!! So-what was the actual TOTAL of everything? I hope its enough to help them out! Its been on my heart. How is Paula doing? Is she home yet and was the surgery a success? How is her family doing? Love and prayers to you and your cousin and families. Well, the only place I went yesterday was to pick my 16 yr old up at work. Got home after midnight with the worst headache I have had in years. I climbed into bed-and didnt actually get up and walk around during the night. I woke up a couple of times, but just couldnt get out of bed. I woke up at 8 am-and thats sleeping in for me-LOL...It sure felt good to see the sun. My truck got fixed and I am going to see if I can open a can of whoop you know what on Mike today and kick his butt racing!! I won 2 races the other day, but I am sure its because his car wasnt adjusted right-or I am getting better-that would be the bomb! I emailed Carissa to offer to be her angel-but havent heard from her-has anyone heard from her or if you have her phone number etc-please call her and let her know so that we can get a call when she has her surgery tomorrow. Ok all, I am gonna get off here, getting a late start today and have some laundry to do and some other stuff before it warms up and I want to go play. AM NOT staying stuffed in this house today, pain or not. I will keep you ALL in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Love to all of you. Janet

God Bless Mel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Old Age: An elderly gentleman... had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100% The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again." The gentleman replied, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet.I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: "Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?" Slim says, "I feel just like a newborn baby." "Really!? Like a newborn baby!?" "Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly." The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?" The first man thought and thought and finally said, "What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... The one that's red and has thorns." "Do you mean a rose?" "Yes, that's the one," replied the man. He then turned toward the kitchen and yelled, "Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator. On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him. "I don't know," he said. "She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. "Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?" he asks. "Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?" "Sure." "Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks. "No, I can remember it." "Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?" He says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries." "I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?" she asks. Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!" Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment. "Where's my toast ?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy: "So I hear you're getting married?" "Yep!" "Do I know her?" "Nope!" "This woman, is she good looking?" "Not really." "Is she a good cook?" "Naw, she can't cook too well." "Does she have lots of money?" "Nope! Poor as a church mouse." "Well, then, is she good in bed?" "I don't know." "Why in the world do you want to marry her then?" "Because she can still drive!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Three old guys are out walking. First one says, "Windy, isn't it?" Second one says, "No, it's Thursday!" Third one says, "So am I. Let's go get a beer." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A man was telling his neighbor, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect." "Really," answered the neighbor "What kind is it?" "Twelve thirty." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, "You're really doing great, aren't you?" Morris replied, "Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'" The doctor said, "I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One more. A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split. The waitress asked kindly, "Crushed nuts?" "No," he replied, "Arthritis." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have had migraines my whole life. No one can figure out why. I guess I am wired wrong but I do know the rain or drop in barometric pressure causes bad ones. I have learned to work through most of them and ignore the pain till they are so bad I have to go to bed. Yes I will be a grandmother for the first time in Oct. It was a surprise to all of us. I will get to spend time with the baby, I will baby sit when Jenni goes back to work. She is going to work part time from noon till 6pm. So far this is the plan. I can't wait I love babies. It's been a rough couple of days and I need to get my house in order. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care, Bel
