POST-OPS NEEDED FOR FOCUS GROUP

This is only 2 hours of your time and they PAY YOU to do this!] I know some Missouri folks post here, so I'm posting it in this July 2004 forum and the main forum - in addition to the Missouri board. Tuesday, May 1st two focus groups (6pm & 8pm) will be held with people who have had bariatric surgery. The subject is their surgery and understanding the thought process around having follow-up plastic surgery. * One group is WOMEN aged 35-49 who have had bariatric surgery and have NOT had plastic surgery to remove excess skin, etc. * One group is MEN aged 35-49 who have had bariatric surgery and HAVE had at least one plastic surgery to remove excess skin, tissue, etc. * Participants will be well compensated for their time, about 2 hours. * Location is a local focus group facility in St. Louis and Deborrah will give them the specific location when they call her. Deborrah Moore from DRSM Research Services will field calls from people interested in participating. Her number is 314-739-2177. She will do the scheduling and logistics, etc. When potential participants call for pre-screening, just tell Deborrah that Traci Knoppe referred you, so she'll know how you found out about the focus group. Traci, Do you know if they got the participates that they needed. I might give them a call on Monday and see if not or even if I qualify. I had my surgery on May 25, 2005 but haven't had plastics yet and not sure if I even want too. But I won't be 35 till July, would they still be able to consider me?

As far as I know - they do NOT have all the participants that they need yet. I think you would be close enough on age, so please call them. Just tell them Traci Knoppe referred you, so they know how you found them. They want the women's group to NOT have had plastics yet and they want the men's group to have already had plastics. So if you're a post-op women and have NOT had any post-op plastic surgery, then you meet that qualification. We need men too!! Men, if you are post-op and have had some reconstructive plastic surgery - then please call!

Traci, I contacted Deborrah regarding this and am signed up for the 6 pm focus group. Looking forward to it! Terri
