SUGAR

Well just got a phone call from Sugar she is on her way home and is feeling better. They checked her blood pressure , lying down, sitting up and standing up and it dropped a lot, they said that was part of the reason she is so dizzy and that she is dehydrated big time. they gave her two liters of fluid by I.V. while she was there and told her to eat more salt too. They left the drain in for another week. Said the pocket that she has, has shrunk 50% and that it doesnt look like it is infected anymore. but are hoping that next week it will be all gone. So lets just cover her with prayers that God will take care of the rest of it. We know he can and trust that he will. They told her that she just has to get in more fluid. she has been concentrating on the protein so much that she is letting her fluid go by the wayside to consume more protein. New post ops know that for the first part after surgery the most important thing for you to do is fluids. if your protein can be had in fluid form that is counted as part of the fluid you need . Our bodies can go longer on smaller amounts of protein than it can on small amounts of fluid. Please when you read this say a prayer for her that she will be getting better all the time. she sounded really good when i talked to her she said afteer the fluid they put in her she was feeling 100% better. Hi Jan, I've not been able to even get on this borad in at least a week I think and this is the first post I read today. I'm glad she seems to be better now and will KEEP praying for her to have a full recovery soon! Thanks for the updates!!! I've been away from the board for a long time, so am not familiar with what's going on with Sugar, but from what you've posted - I see she need prayer, and that I can certainly do! Traci

Jan, I am so glad Sugar seems better. She'll get this whipped yet. Hope she feels a little more in control of her situation now. Tell her we're praying like crazy for a complete healing. Hugs to you and to Sugar - and well to Joe too!!! Lana

Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern. I just can hardly stand the fact that she didnt just pop back from this surgery like i did...I wanted us to have fun about this and it has been anything but fun for her. Love all of you. Jan

Hi Jan, Well-Im sorry she has to wait another week and is dehydrated-but does sound like she is healing (the infection anyway) and I am sure that she will get better each and every day-hopefully she will drin****il she thinks she is going to float away!!! I know when I was dehydrated-it made me feel tired and yucky!!! I am praying for her-and I am believing in Jesus name that this is the last bit she has to go through!!!! Thanks for keeping us posted and I hope she got my card, so she will know I am thinking of her.
