Im BACK
Sorry I hadn't posted in a long while. My husband and I are starting a new business so Ive been a litte preoccupied with it. But, I am doing great with the help of some "special" people. I am soo looking forward to my surgery and you guys are the absolute best supporters there are. I look forward to seeing a new post or new message. It helps to keep me encouraged and Im quite sure others feel the same.
On a lighter note....what the heck is going on with the weather!! I could've sworn Spring started a couple of weeks ago. Im so upset my tulips did not bloom at all
They are my absolute favorite flowers and I haven't gotten a chance to enjoy them. I sure hope Easter is a little bit warmer than it has been the last couple of days. All the kids will be frozen trying to search for easter eggs.
Hey, is anyone a BIG FAN of Grey's Anatomy?

Chante good to see you back. we have missed you. Just a little over a month till your surgery .
How is the business going?
I dont have any idea what is going on with the weather seems that winter wasnt done with us yet. did your tulips have buds on them before the cold weather came?
If not they may still bloom. Mine were in full bloom and as of tonight they are still ok but dont know about in the morning. we will see. But i live about as far south as you can go and not be in Arkansas.
Glad you came back to see us. If you have any questions about anything im sure there are someone who will know the answer. or at least we will try. Jan
Dear Chante,
Went into your profile-and you are a VERY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN already-WORLD...watch out for Chante afterwards-I love your goals too. Good luck to you and your hubby on the new business-I will keep you in prayer-and I will pray it takes off, because what a novel concept-I may be one of your callers-LOL...cause I am horrible about things until the day of! I am a little better now that surgery is behind me-but I usually have more going on than I can keep up with-and I am hoping that all slows down soon as well.
My tulips havent bloomed yet either-I did bring in the rest of the flowers since they were new starts and waiting to be repotted. I have everything to do it-but am going to wait for a little warmth first-holy cow! Its cold~!

Hi Ricki,
My surgery is May 9th at DePaul Hospital in Missouri. My surgeon is Dr. Roger De La Torre. He and his staff are some great people. They are pretty straight-forward which I like and they tell you the in's and out's of WLS. So, Im pretty excited about having the surgery. Sometimes I do get a little nervous though, but I guess that's only natural. Where are you having your surgery? Do you have to adhere to a special diet prior to surgery? So far, I don't have to stick to a strict diet but I heard many suggestions that I should start taking my protein now to build up my system to help with recovery better and hair loss. I also cut out soda's (one of my biggest weakness) and sweets. I'd rather detox my body slowly before surgery than have my body go into shock
after surgery. Well, if you ever want to talk Im here
Take care and you also will be in my prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!

Hi Chanti! I am so excited for you! I am working on my 6 month pre-cert diet required by my ins. co. Dr. de la Torre doesn't require one at all, but he says his partner requires a 2 week liquid protein diet to shrink the size of the liver which makes your "innards" (my word) easier to maneuver around in. I have a question about Dr. de la Torre. I have not met him personally except at the seminar. I have everything in place and all of the paper work to his office, but they told me not to schedule an appointment with him until I have completed my six month diet. I know you didn't have to do it, but when did you actually meet him? It seems strange not to be able to interview a surgeon before you get pre-cert. or is that just me?
Congrats again on your upcoming date. I am so excited for you!
i'll be in bothwell hospital, Dr. Hornbostel will be my surgeon i just love him. i wish we were closer i would come and see you after your surgery, just know you'll be on my mind and in my prayers that day. I checked your profile and you have some beautiful kids. i have 2 teenage sons, i miss them being little seemed so much easier...lol. i'm gonna try and put a pic of them up on my profile. take care and keep in touch. ricki
Hi Ricki,
Thank you so much, just knowing that I will be in your thoughts and prayers mean just as much as if you would be right there. I hope my profile was okay, I tried to make it friendly and inviting. My children are a HANDFUL!! I wish they were teenagers sometimes (closer to leaving the nest) and then sometimes Im grateful that they are still young. With the WLS surgery maybe then I can keep up ;o) Well have a HAPPY EASTER...
