WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

Well we survived another night of temps not getting below freezing and hope that we will be so lucky the next 3 nights. After that I sure hope that we will be done with this stuff but there is a good chance we will have another cold spell around the end of the month. Winter might not be done with us yet. Lol. I told my hubby I wish I had a big dome that I could enclose my whole property with and have my own environment in here lol We could open it up when it was nice and in the summer but in winter we could close it and grow our flowers and gardens all winter too. Wouldn't that be cool? Joe just shakes his head at me sometimes. My roses and clematis that are all on the back fence have buds all over them, I sure hope it doesn't freeze them off. Don't know if they would just start over I guess they would. If they don't there isn't much I can do about it but pray. I have way toooooo much stuff to cover , Lana if I had Fred Sanfords junk yard I probably still couldn't find enough things to cover everything that needs covering. Lol. Sugar had to go back to St. Louis today for a check up and was hoping that she would have the drain removed but no luck. She still has a pocket of infection it showed up on the cat scan so the drain is still there. She is to have home health check her potassium level when they come out tomorrow. Don't know why they didn't do that when they had her up there. But as it stands now she has to go back up next week on Thursday. Please everyone please keep her in your prayers. It has been a month this Saturday when she had surgery and she is one sick girl. I am really upset about her being so sick. It really hurts to see your baby sister be so sick over something that hardly affected me at all. I was up and pulling weeds out of my garden within a couple of days after I got home from surgery. Vesta: Im sorry that you planted your flowers already. I will tell everyone a little secret . if you get up before the sun is up and they have a light frost on them. Take the water hose and spray the frost off and the plants will be fine . but if the sun hits the frost first before you spray it off they will die. Sounds stupid I know but it works. Now this is just for frost if it gets down in the teens or so and freezes things nothing helps. I have used this lots of times in the fall of the year when we have a light frost early and I still want my plants to be ok for as long as possible. Im don't know for sure if it is so or not about medicare .I have an email into them about it and am waiting for them to email me back. I hope soon. Yeah I saw that about Alan too I hope he is doing well. Rachael: well how did your meeting with Melissa go? I hope she got pictures of you so all of us can see what you look like. I wish you would put a picture of yourself up on here it makes it so much easier to talk to people with their picture on line. I saw your other post about your wow moment. That is great. Hey glad you are driving instead of running to Springfield , if you could do that you would be ready for the Boston Marathon. Lol Brenda: You sound so good. Im glad that you are feeling so much better. I know I remember the days before surgery and how many days you were in bed from the pain. Isnt it wonderful , all except being cold all the time. I never realized how cold supermarkets were in the frozen food section till now. Lol I get what I have to and get out lol Yep the new picture would really be great. You be safe with all your going here and there Give your fur babies a hug from me. Lana: Wont be many more days till you can clean up that salvage yard in your back yard. Lol I love both of those flowers too if they would last longer would be so neat wouldn't it? I wish Iris lasted longer too . those are my favorites but they do have new ones now that are suppose to re bloom in the fall. I bought a whole bunch of those last fall but of course they haven't bloomed yet. We will see what happens. Where is that store and it is really called half of half off? Is it one of those places that you have to look and look to find sizes or at least are they devided by size? I don't like shopping anyway, not now any better than I did before. Clothes to me aren't that important. I just buy them so I wont be necked. Lol that wouldn't be a pretty site. Barb S: glad you are back to the beautiful but cold Ozarks lol How are you doing on the weight. I hope you had a good time while there. Glad you didn't dump , they say it isn't any fun at all. Lol Janet:I am so so sorry that you are in so much pain. Have you gotten an appointment for the MRI yet? That may not show everything. And you might need to have x-rays too for them to really know all that is going on. I hope they find out soon. And can do something really good instead of just having you to live on Pain pills. We will keep you in special prayer before our Lord along with Sugar that both of you have your pain and illness taken care of. How is Terrys father doing. I hope he is not getting into anything that will hurt him. So is Terry coming home today? I hope all of that is going well for him. Tell Melissa we miss her and she will have to start thinking about scheduling that tummy tuck now. That is a good sign that Terry is eating well. Usually means that the body is healing itself. LOL on how much it is. I look at peoples plates they bring them in Rest. And I cant believe I use to eat that . Now it will feed me for several days if I order an entrée. Tammy: great going girl we are really proud of you . That is a lot of weight you have lost and we know you can do the next months worth too. Hang in there you will make it. Well they are saying that we may have snow tonight. Weird weather. I would rather have snow than frost tho. Unless it gets really cold then the snow doesn't help a lot. Howdy Everyone..... Sure hope your all nice and warm.....Thank God it is only suppose to stay cooled off for a few days....I was so loven the warm weather we were having!!!!! Jan.....Yeah I seen that on the news that yall might be getting snow that way.....I know yall just love that lol lol lol.....Thanks for the tip about the frost...I am going to share that with my step-father....He grows a big garden every year and hates worring what he might loose to the frost!!!! I sure hope things start looking better for Surgar soon.....How much weight loss has she had so far?????......I will be praying for her....We will pray her right back on her feet!!!!!! jan, Thanks for the tip about the hose and the frost. Now, me getting up that early? That's another story. LOL But I will try it. I have new roses and clematis also with buds. Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ WOW-This weather has me a bit.....lets say-PERPLEXED...CONFUSED....SICK...When I went over to Bobs (Mels FIL) last night-it snowed all the way there, all the way home-and then for about an hour or two afterwards-didnt stick on the ground-but it was reaally thick and heavy-CRAP!!! I was freezing my behind off....had the heater in the car on full blast- Have you ever seen a puppy/dog run around in circles and chase their tales? Thats what I have felt like this week-LOL....I have been to dr twice this week. Weds and yesterday mornings. On top of all of that crap-Aunt Flo decided to visit 8 days early-I was like COME ON NOW-thi**** isnt funny any more! But, guess its better than having it next week when I am scheduled for the epidural or spinal. It says spinal something on my paperwork. If they call me today-of course, I will go in, but....I wont be a happy camper about it! LOL...Murphys Law with me-LOL. Bob was NOT a happy person with me last night. When I went over in the morning, he had not taken one of his Weds evening pills, so in the morning I woke him and made sure he was up AND TOOK HIS PILLS BEFORE I LEFT...he was all happy to see me in the morning....but, last night-not so much. Think he would have yelled or snapped at me, had he known me a little better! I even stopped at Wendys and bought him his favorite stuff-chili and a hamburger-I guess bribery worked well with Bob-since thats the only reason he decided to get out of bed-told him what I had for him in the kitchen. My step son said "mom, I dont think he likes you too much" said, well-Darrel sometimes when older people dont feel good-they dont like anyone who makes them do something they dont want to do-remember great grandpa and grandma?" he said yeah-they yelled at you a lot! LOL...WOW. How I wish NOW they were here to yell at me for making them do things- Terry should be getting released from the hospital today-WOO HOO....I will feel a lot better when they are home. I dont mind helping them out-just so afraid something will happen on my shift, you know? I remember when I went through that with my grandparents-and it sucks. I freaked out that he cooked on the gas stove the other day-and there was a ton of oil in the pan!! I always ask him if he wants or needs anything and he tells me no-so I dont know if he just doesnt want to ask me or what. Oh well-I am praying for Terry to get home today and things can get back to normal, whatever that is here anymore. Jan-they arent going to do any more x-rays. They already have about 20 of them, and whatever is further up my back doesnt show on the x-rays-just the discs down below. He said 4 of them...the cyst doesnt even show on the x-rays, its just that it can be felt and seen. Yesterday was prob the best back day-the pills at least take the edge off, and thats okay with me right now. Thats all I need to make it to the hospital for the injection. Looks like the Easter Egg hunt for tomorrow is off too-too cold. Last Sat it rained and stormed-so was cancelled-now tomorrow its suppose to be cold too-YIKES....We have been running the fireplace again. We are low on propane and since the only thing we need propane for is the heater-we are trying to get away with not having to order any more right now-until thie fall/winter-its too expensive! I think we have about 5 percent left-so if we can keep that fire roaring, may not need to get it-Lord, please let it warm up soon!!! I blame my husband for this weather you know-cause he drained the pool Monday and Tuesday-so he brought this on-if he wouldnt have drained it to start cleaning it and getting it painted-it would have stayed warm-LOL.... I am so sorry to hear about Sugar. I sent her card off yesterday-I sure hope she feels better soon, darn it!! I hope Mel waits just a little while to get that tummy tuck done-maybe this summer, alrhough, that will cut into pool time-lol...Im not really sure, she hasnt said when, just that the approval was good through September. I know Terry doesnt even get casted for like 6 weeks-so Im sure she isnt going to do it before he is at least casted, cause it would be too hard for him to get around! Tammy-I am sooo proud of you. I am excited for you. You are on your way girl-and now it becomming really real....I remember those feelings-I remember the anxiety and frustration until I got my date-I lift you in prayer so you will have strength and peace of mind...and this next month is going to be tough, but I KNOW you can do it! Jon (my 4 yr old) asked me last night where I picked his daddy from? I am always telling him that I picked his daddy just for him-cause Mike is such an awesome daddy. So...I said-what do you mean where did I pick him from? and he said UH...Mom-which STORE did you buy him from? Did you put him in a bag? He was so serious and I was trying so hard NOT to smile or laugh at him, cause he was very very serious. I said-why, do you want me to take him back? get a refund or exchange-and he said no.....I just wanted to know where you picked him from, and if you got me from that same store-WHOA....Now-I have a scar from here to there from YOU...I didnt buy you kiddo-so it was interesting evening with the 4 yr old and the new questions he comes up with now. Well, I hope all you newbies come on more often and post. We have a couple of surgeries coming up-Krissy on 5/2, Chante on 5/9 and I am sure there are others! WE are praying for you all..if you need us-yell. All the new post ops-Sugar, Julia, Shawn.....all the others-we are wishing you speedy recoveries. Will tt you all soon-need to get my shake and vitamins in, get to Bobs (BURR LAP) and get home to chill before the kids get home today... they only have 1/2 day. Stay warm everyone.
