Well yesterday was my 7 week post-op mark. I have lost 47lbs. I really wanted to hit 50lbs. but I am still happy with my weightloss. I finally decided to go through my closet to see if any of my old things fit now. I normally give away my clothes but I had been saving them as I "outgrew" them for the last year because I knew I'd have surgery. Well I had been wearing 28's and the pants I wore yesterday were just too baggy. I started pulling pants out of my closet and low and behold they all fit ! Mostly 26's but a couple of 24's too. The grand total was 13 pair of slacks , 2 pair of jeans and 4 pair of capri's. It's like a new wardrobe all over again. I have several shirts I can wear to work too that actually button up now ! I had found about 5 pair of capri's last week too when I went to my shed so I am in business for awhile as far as clothes go. I do need to pick up some short sleeved shirts but it is a relief to not have to buy so much right now. I just thought I'd share my happines with you all. I have a girl at work who has a couple of small kids that needs clothes so I am about to make her day with the 3 bags of clothes I have for her. I hope everyone has a great day ! Dannielle

Jan, I really am on only one medicine. My blood thinner for my artificial heart valve. I'll never be able to get completely rid of that but the dose has gone down since I have lost weight and am not eating so much. I've been getting my blood checked weekly now since my blood got waaaay too thin and the doctor called me on a Saturday to get treatment. Other than that I dont have to take anything-never had. Lucky I guess. Dannielle

Danielle, Way to go. Isn't it fun giving your clothes to someone. My DD gets first dibs on my stuff but some of the things are just too "old" for her. I love going to the Salvation Army, went on my way to work today, and seeing what they have that I can wear or am close to getting into. It's the bomb. Hugs and love and congratulations on 47 pounds.
