Is this normal
I go for my one week check up with Dr. H. tomorrow but after a great start I have started to have problems.
I got hom Friday and felt wonderful, Sat went to Walmart and did some shopping. Sunday cleaned out my closet. Monday felt a little weak. Then yesterday and today I just cant get up and going. If I get up to go to the bathroom I am weak and light headed. I am getting between 30-40 oz of water. I am still on clear liquids but did have a protein shake today hoping that would help.
My pulse rate is high if I am up and about which would account for the dizzyness.
I have dropped so much weight. I am thinking its just to much for less then one week. Its almost like my body is trying to fight it .
I was 236 at Dr. H appt.
230 at the pre op assissment
222 on the day of surgery and now 6 days later 205. That is 13 pounds in 6 days.
I have been getting my vitamins and B 100's in pretty good.
Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else experence this?
I hate just laying around.
Honestly I think you're doing to much to soon. You need to get up and walk everyday and should be walking 2 miles a day by your 6 weeks. Least that's what my Dr. told me when I had the surgery. Your body has gone through a big shock and needs time to catch up and heal. Try to just relax a little. If your still feeling weak call your Dr.
Hugs,
Anna
Shawn after what happened to Sugar, call Margie and see what she says , since you live there in Sedalia you can go see the doctor if need be. I know i would get real tired real easy the first 2 or 3 weeks but would lay down and sleep and then would feel better. but please call Dr. Hs office that is what he would want you to do ok? Love and hugs. let me know what happens. ok Jan
Sweetie I would say you are dehydrated. I experienced the exact same thing after surgery. I almost passed out when trying to get up and my pulse rate was high. I'd bet your blood pressure is low too. You need to contact your doctor and push fluids in the meantime. 30-40oz. is not enough. By the way... SLOW DOWN. Your body just had major surgery. It needs time to heal . Your body is telling you to slow down in it's own way-LISTEN to it.
Congratulations on the 13lb. loss. WAY TO GO !
Keep us posted on what your doctor says and tell him everything.
Good luck ,
Dannielle
