Update on Julia D!

Hi, Missouri Peeps! Just got off the phone with Julia D! She is out of surgery and in her room. She sounds wonderful and says her surgery went great!! Praise the Lord! I told her we had all just moved over to welcome her and the other new post ops to the losers bench! Julia is at Bothwell Regional. Her phone number to her room is 660-827-9382 in case any of you want to call and tell her congrats! She was my wls on March 5th, I really wish I didn't live so far away or I would have been there with her today. She is such a caring person. I'm planning on stopping by her new apartment next Tuesday before my visit with Dr. H to see how she is doing. Will be nice to see her again. Have a GREAT day! Debbie D. P.S. Please keep Julia in your prayers. She's out of surgery and doing well. But there can still be those unforeseen problems that arise. I know that from a first hand account. Remember, her leak test will be in the morning.

oh that is wonderful i was going to call there this afteernoon and see if she was ok but probably will wait now till in the morning some time. She is always there for everyone I know everyone wishes they could be there for her. but everyone if you havent can sign her support page. Jan

Thank you Deb. Julia is sucha a sweetheart. She has many times been the voice out there for me that lifted me up, when I was down or upset. Please let her know that we all are exctied for her, and praying for her. Good to see you posting on here too....How are you??? Sherr

Hi, Sherr! Yes, Julia is a sweetheart! I sent her a fresh bouquet of flowers from a florist in Sedalia. They said they would try and get them delivered today. I just hate it that I was unable to be there with her and wanted to help brighten her day! I'm doing great! I've lost a total of 25 lbs and over 13 inches!! It truly is amazing! I'm one month out today and still having problems getting all my protein in. I can't stand the milkshake type protein drinks. I did find one from Nectar called twisted cherry. I ordered a few samples from biatriceating.com and that's the one I liked. I'm going to order a big container of it. Has about 24 grams of protein in each scoop. I have made Salmon which even my family ate! Also made Turkey Meatloaf (the recipe in Susan Marie Leach's book "Before and After". I didn't tell my husband or boys until they had devoured it! They all loved it, it was so tasty!! I mashed mine up really good and it digested fine. So how are you? How is Bailey and your other poodle? As you know I have a little toy poodle (6 lbs) named Precious and she is just as dear to me as one of my children. Some people may think we're crazy but us dog people know what we mean! I grew up with poodles and it was always like losing a family member when something happened to one of them. How's your weight loss coming? Any "Wow" moments? Mine was last night when my stepdaughter measured me (exactly 4 weeks after she first took my measurements) and I had lost over 13 inches (4 inches in my thighs alone and if you take it by two that would be a total of 8 inches), I also lost 3 inches in my waist! It is wonderful! I thank the Lord daily for bring thru this journey and for seeing me thru the rest of it! You take care and keep in touch, Debbie D.

Julia So glad your surgery is over. Now for the leak test....i'm sure it is different from the tire test. LOL My grandfather had a gas station) Guess you had to be there. I know you were in good hands with Dr. H. Will check in on you tommorrow. Keep up the good work that you do.. and keep smiling.
