WHATS HAPPENING ,,,,,,FRIDAY

Hello all!!! Wasn't today beautiful , a little warm and I even broke a sweat while I was working but sort of enjoyed that Im usually so cold that it felt rather good. Wow that is amazing isn't it. This is a person that use to sweat all the time , anytime the temp was above 70 and I was doing nothing I would sweat. Now it has to be 80 and me working outside to sweat. Lol I have been craving Chicken Livers so I fixed some for supper. Yeah I know they were fried not the best in the world for you but I peeled most of the batter off and still ate only one so at least that was good protein. Most meats im not to good on so at least I got some meat in. My son called me while ago all excited. He got a part in the Branson Show the Promise. He has been just barely making it since he and his wife separated and hasn't had a lot to be excited about but this is something great for him. Not only is it a steady paycheck, not a whole lot but enough to pay all of his bills every month. Besides he is a wonderful Christian and this is a way to get the message out. I have seen the Promise once about 6 years ago I think and he said he would get me some comp tickets to it. He is a beautiful singer and has made some cds. But maybe this is his chance . Who knows. He said it was sort of funny he got ask to come do the audition , he knew nothing about it really so hopefully it was God that put this in his way. Pray that it may lead to more . Going over to Melissas today to buy her ponds that she has for sale . I hope I can do what I want to with them. I want to use all of them in a series somehow. I will be able to see how when I get them here. May still have to buy a piece or two to get it to work don't know. When I get them installed I will take pictures and put them on my web site and profile too. Janet: Will you be over at Melissas tomorrow when we come after the ponds? Would be neat to see you too. That is neat that the surgeon did that back popping for you to relieve that pain. So how does your lower back feel now that the upper back isn't hurting ? The no bake cookies are easy to make. And they are really good. That isn't my recipe I just am using it and gave you the recipe lol . Tammy: How was your lunch date with your friend? Glad you were able to do that to help with the sting of your sister moving off. Did they arrive safely? Hope you get some calls from others in your area that want to car pool to support meetings. They are really an important part of your surgery success. Melissa:I hope your fil will be better off in a couple of weeks. Depression can do lots of bad things to people and especially to older adults. They don't have to have any bright glareing reason to be depressed just the fact that they are getting older and are losing their independence is enough. Lana: lol I can see you if you had a big farm, you would rescue every type of animal you could wouldn't you. Nothing wrong with that , shows a kind and gentle sole. And that everyone knows is you. Have fun this week end in KC. LOL I always take too much too when I go someplace even if it is just overnight. You know you never know what you will need . Right??? Julia: wow how we have missed you. Seems like about 3 xs longer than it was im sure. Oh my what is wrong with your car this time. At least living in Sedalia if it isn't fixed by the time you have surgery you can call a cab lol I hope that some of the people that you have sit and held their hands before surgery will pay you back some of your kindness. And do the same for you. Im not sure how the reunion is coming along. I think Janet is busy right now and will get with all of us soon. Take care and we are sure glad to see you back on. Oh since Andrew didn't come up last month but says they will be here in April. I will still send your tomato plants to you. Plus I went out and dug up several 4/0clocks out of the garden and planted them into growing medium so I have lots of plants for you. That you can plant and enjoy them . Colette: yeah that is the mix on the brown sugar. That is pretty smart of you to do your own mixing. Lol wish I would have thought of that before I speant that much money on it. Debbie M: Wow we aren't having anything at all tonight. It was really muggy today and the barometer was falling but we got nothing. The amount of flower seeds I sent you? Hi Momma Jan... You know me, I am more of a Lurker than anything these days. LOL Well, Mom and dad are both in walkers, I talked with my sister yesterday (((she's kind of an airhead, and Mom is always afraid to tell her about "reality" stuff, so my sister is usually clueless about the important issues))) I told her both parents are in walkers and use a motorized wheel chair....I told her both parents are in those electric beds, like hospitals use.....How can SHE NOT check on our parents. She is only 20 mins away. She was totally shocked, but then again, my mom has always tried to protect her. Whatever....she's always had a husband, and never even had to work, wish I could have gotten on the "protect her cause she's fragile" plan myself. LOL On a sadder note, Bailey (black pup w/ cancer) has another "knot"....and Lucais (blonde baby) started coughing Wed. night and breathing very hard, so I am taking them BOTH in to the vet this morning in Malden, MO. They are my babies, I don't know what to do to make them feel better.... I haven't been sick ( food not agreeing w/ me) in over a week, and told my mom that....shoulda knocked on wood...got sick TWICE yesterday... Some days it doesn't pay to get outta bed...LOL Love you Momma J & Company. S

Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ Jan-Oh, I am so happy to hear about your son and getting a break-thats just wonderful!! I would love to go see that play in Branson myself sometime. We have talked about it several times, but wasnt until now that I felt comfortable with knowing I would fit in their seats-LOL...so, maybe I can go this summer!~ Anyway-I am excited that he got this break! I am also so happy to hear about Sugar feeling better and wanting to eat. Wow!! Isnt God glorious? All these blessings lately-I cant wait to see her at the April meeting! Yes, I am going to try to get over to Mels when you are there. Me and the little guy have some errands to run -so we may just come over to say hi and let you meet my son! I look forward to it-hope the rain and storms hold off until you get back home safely. Yesterday was beautiful here as well! It stayed overcast for much of the day, but I got to drive with the sunroof open and windows down with some of my favorite 70's music blaring....sometimes can just get lost in a drive by myself. My upper back started to hurt pretty bad in the later evening-about 7 or so-and I was thinking-that didnt last very long. My hubby said that sometimes it takes a day or so to really feel better. My upper back DOES NOT hurt right now-but my lower back has become the focal point now....Yikes. I am gonna suck it up though and get through until April 11th and go from there. I took my pain meds yesterday on an empty stomach and they made me have severe stomach cramps....which-made my hubby upset with me for not taking them with food or milk, and to tell you the truth, I just wanted to get one in me to start working-oh well, hard lesson learned. I got mad at him for getting mad at me-so wasnt a thrilling night at my place-LOL.... I got good news this way yesterday as well-my daughter got accepted to Stephens college in Columbia. Its a private girls school-and she will start there this fall. I am really excited for her. Two more years to go and I will have a little psychiatrist running around in my midst! I also got the rest of my lab reports back yesterday-everything looked really good and I was in the normal levels for everything and above in one....so, that was good news for me. Thought something may have come back wrong, since I get dizzy if I stand too fast, or bend over and stand up-but Dr. said it was just from losing weight so fast. My scale started moving again this week. Must be because I have started doing 2 protein shakes a day because I am at that point right now where a lot of foods just arent agreeing with me! I hate it when I think I am getting into my groove and then have a bad week-LOL....But, I love to see the scale move. I am also smaller now than the weight on my drivers license says-and I LIED about my weight so I wouldnt "seem" so fat in writing-LOL!! Hi there again, I forgot to thank someone in my post for sitting with me for over 2 hours yesterday at the Dr. office-Mel-THANKS!! Although I didnt need you to drive (thank goodness! Good Morning Guys & Gals.. Sor far I have sunshine this Morning and the birds are singing again as well.....Not sure how long that will last...but it's much nicer to wake to a perky morning than all those clouds. My lunch with my friend went great yesterday...Thanks for asking Jan.....It went way to fast but we hope to start doing it a little more often. My sister and the kids made it safely to N.Carolina yesterday. I am so glad they are fianally there and off the road. They said they had a really enjoyable trip and I think with all that traveling they only passed one wreck! They ran into rain pretty often but none of it was really bad. Jan....sounds like you are going to have a beautiful yard before the summer is over with!!!!! We would love to see pics of it when you get it done. Im so glad sugar is getting better....I will be praying she continues to do well and gets to come home soon. That is wonderful news about your son... I hope you get to go see him preform. Janet...How is DH's hand doing??? Hows the new baby doing? How is your back doing? Mel....When did you say DH's surgery was? I'm sorry about the dreams he is having. Do they think he will get around better after he has the surgery? I will keep him and your f-i-l in my prayers that things go well with both. My sister didnt deal well with things going on with my mother when she was down for so long. It was me that was there and had to deal with everything and do all the running. When she had to have surgery or have a new stent placed and all, my sister would come be with me thru it but I even moved in with my mother to make sure I could take care of her. I guess some people has it in them to deal with things like that and some don't. Your parents are lucky to have you! Well I guess I need to run for now and get my day started. Goood Morning Jan and All, Wow, this week just absolutely got away from me. My classes this week were mind boggling but I got through them, spend alot of time working on my final project which is a Persuasive Essay on Bariatric Surgery. Other then that I've spent hours outside this week, the landlord gave me some more room to plant veggies so I got that ready and have now got onions, turnips, brocolli and califlower planted, I cant wait until there is no danger of frost so I can plant my other stuff. I got my flower beds all ready to be planted now, its not much but it'll sure be lookin decent when Im done. I took some before pictures so after its all said and done and things are coming up I'll take after pictures too. I order'd some shrubs and flowers off this website I found, HouseOfWesley.com I think it is, looked like they have some pretty nice stuff real cheap. I ordered some christmas holly bushes to plant around my deck and some lilac bushes to go along the front of my house. Along the road the landlord bought some Pompus Grass and I planted them along my ditch so kind of hide the road, then I ordered 3 purple smoke bushes for out that way. I've also made planters and planted most the seeds Jan gave me around the railing of my deck plus I have 2 planters with tulips that are just now blooming on the deck, they are so pretty, I have a couple red, couple purple, couple yellow and a couple red and purple tulips, they are just now starting to bloom so pretty plus the spider plant starts I have are around the deck the too, Jan they are growing pretty good and will bring them next month to ya. So I been busy busy busy outside, its been great cuz I can do things outside that I have not been able to do for years and years, woohoo!!! My weightloss has jump started again, the last 2 weeks i've lost 12lbs so that made me so happy, hopefully it will keep on going for awhile now. Jan I called Dr. H office and got my appt for April 24, Susan is gonna ask for that Sunday and Monday off so we can come up to your place on Sunday afternoon if thats alright, then go to the meeting on monday and my appt on tuesday. Well anyway I gotta get going, its my turn to take Angel Food Orders today, I just wanted to come on and post quick, hope everyone has a great weekend. Bless Ya's Andrew

Good Morning Everyone: It is so beatiful outside this morning. I have my bedroom window open and I can hear all the birdy's chirping and singing thier good morning songs. Went out and go the paper. I am sure the neighbors just love seeing me in my nightgown at 7am barefoot coing out to get the weekend paper. Of course I am sure it has been a schock/relief to see someone actually coming out of this house. My F-I-L has been such a recluse over the last 2 years. I am sure they didnt even know that he was still here. lol Thought I would get on and post and see how everyone is doing this morning. I am sitten here drinking my water, took my pills, waiting to take my calcium citrate. Does anyone else have trouble remembering to take this?? Maybe it becasue I cant take them with my morning meds and I get busy and space it off?? Or maybe it is just cause I am getting old and cant remember poop. I sent Lana an email about the Citracal's I am like her have been on a mission to find the Lemon ones. I like the Caramel but Lemon better. Okay?? So we run over to Joplin last night got some bricks for my plant holder. So my hanging plants dont drag the ground outside. (DH moved all my plants outside for me yesterday while I was gone) We went to the old house, Wal Mart in Webb City, Atwoods, and back to Joplin's Wal Mart. Finally found what I was sort of wanting. I was looking for some planter boxes so I can replant my F-I-L's amerrillows (SP). And DH can move them to the front part of the house before surgery. Since I am limited on my lifting. Anyways get all the way home stop at Wal Greens cause I forgot to look for my Ctiracal at Wal Mart in Joplin. Walk in find them and all they have is Fudge Cant stand the fudge ones at all. And I ws completely out. So I start looking at the pill form. Find one that will work and it says petite smaller so you can swallow. Yea right. I would like to find the dingy s**t that put that on the bottle of pills. When I looked at it I knew that it might be hard to swallow. Well needless to say it wasnt the most plesant thing I have ever swallowed. (get your mind out of the gutter Janet)!!! It lodged in my throat I didnt have enough water to drink with it cause I am use to taken sips. I am running thro the kitchen trying to ge tto the facet to get me some more water. What a nightmare!! Funny now but at the time it sure wasnt. And this is the pill I am waiting for time to pass so I can take again. Talk about a glution for punishment!!! Needless to say I have a 20oz bottle of flavor water & 15oz of another drink right here handly just in case. Okay now that you've had your morning lol. I am going to try and take my pill (note I said try). Read the paper, get ready cause Jan & her DH will be here around noon. Janet & her son will be here sometime. Get dressed so I can go play out in the garage and replant some flowers. Move the ones DH put on the ledge since were suppose to have bad storms and high winds tonight. Dont want them blowning off the ledge!!! I hope you all have a wonderful day. And get a chance to enjoy it before it starts raining again. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "it's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side." Hi Jan, Yes it does seem like forever since I have been on. I have 2 days then I am on the bench. Yeah!!!! My car is missing for some reason.We don't know if it is a sensor or hose or some connection. We had new plugs put in when then did the head gasket. I was wondering if Andrew made it to his appointment. I did not have my calendar dug out so I forgot the date. April will be fine. My 15 1/2 y/o granddaughter Ayanna is going to be my main angel. She is staying the weekend with me, knows the routine at the hospital of where to go and what to do so she will keep any other adults in line that go. She was practically raised in hiospitals. She has always came to visit me and visit my patients since she was born. I actually think this will be the direction she takes when she gets out of school.When she was about 6 or 7 her sister 2 years younger got burnt real bad when their mom was in the shower, she grabbed the frozen peas out of the freezer put them on Tera and then got her mom. Then she sat with her sister in ER while they debrided her burn( Tera knocked something over that hit the coffee pot and overturn it on her). She is pretty cool headed and I call on her alot . Hello everyone. I need a shoulder, so I'm opening up to you and I hope that's okay. Our oldest daughter is 35 weeks pregant and lives in Illinois. The babies father has anger issues and has been ordered by the court to attend alcohol and anger classes. The first abuse was about 4 months ago and we begged her to come home but she wanted to try and work things out. Most of the abuse is verbal, and he goes through the house hitting and kicking things. Wednesday evening I was talking to my daughter and I hear him in the background getting louder and louder. He was calling her every name in the book and kicking things, the worst part of it all, my 10 y/o grandson was sitting there by his Mom. I told her I was calling the police and she was crying so hard then that I couldn't understand what she was saying. So I picked up our house phone and called the police who went out right away. Of course he was gone when they got there. My husband is leaving at 6am to go bring her and our grandson home. The police will be there while they load the truck. Of course now he is texting her and apologizing asking her not to take his baby away. I asked her to turn off her phone, eat some dinner and her daddy will be there by noon tomorrow. I was on the phone for over 3 hours today trying to get a OB doc that would take Missouri Medicaid. It was really frustrating. I knew we could take her to the county hospital, but that was a last resort. Finally, I found an acutual OB/Gyn clinic and a hospital that takes medicaid. It's a regular doc and regular hospital. They even gave her an appointment for Wednesday, but then she is 35 weeks so they really had no choice, well they did, they could have said no. But thank the Good Lord they were compassionate and understanding. The good news out of all this is this time tomorrow I will be feeling our granddaughter move around in her Mommy's tummy and I will have my grandson back home. It's going to be crowded around here but I pray that we all work together for as long as it takes to get our daughter on her feet. She is basically going to start over with the only piece of furniture being the baby bed that is here. She won't need anything for a while and hopefully when she does we find some things at garage sales. Thanks for listening. It felt good just getting it out of my system.
