WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Today has been a day of worry and some more worry . Want to thank all of you so very much for prayers that you sent toward Heaven for Sugar. I certainly hope that she will be able to get well now. I haven't heard anymore from them and I didn't want to call late because Rick was totally worn out and said that when she got back to the room and everything was ok he was going to go rent him a room and go to sleep. He was awake last night all night caring for her more or less. Sugars phone ran down and she forgot to take her charger with her so the only phone I had to call on what his and didn't want to wake him. He told me that he had my phone number and that if anything was wrong when they brought her back he would call me. So I will call in the morning after he has had a chance to get back over to the hospital. But im sure that with all the prayers that were being laid at Jesus feet that everything was ok. I got some more of this one area cleaned up out in the yard. We are going to do some more work on the grape vine tunnel that we built last year. It has sort of come apart at places so we are going to fasten it back in place with better holding material. The bones of the structure are still sturdy but not some of the twining I put in it. So that will need to be redone. Then I have these little pots of Jasmine that I am going to plant on the side of it. My Hostas and are all coming up. My bleeding hearts are blooming. And most all of my trees are leafed out. Only the hardwoods left not in leaf. I had to make some stakes today to put in my tomato plants pots they were falling over. I did that the other day for the cherry tomato plants but these are like the little plants I gave some of you at the meeting a month ago. Are all of yours doing that well? They are about 2 ½ feet tall and have blooms on them . Tammy: Yeah I use to use Lane Bryant and Romans and all of those catalogs but I cant wear any of their clothes any more. Lol Isnt that a shame? Yes I love Cato's but now I can shop on the other side of the store and you will to one day. I know what you mean about the music in church. That is always what moves me more than anything. I love singing to the Lord. I cant do it well anymore but I use to. Don't know what happened to my voice. The fatter I got the less I could sing. Now it has probably been too long , because singing it just like anything else if you don't use it you lose it. The topic at the meeting was a question that Claudette wanted us to answer ...two parts. What is in your cabinet or ref. that you know you shouldn't have there and will throw out when you get home and the second part . What food could you not live without. And you couldn't count the protein shake. That is the thing I cant live without really because I cant get enough eaten to have enough protein in a day without them Brenda: Hey I was just wondering about your granddaughters puppie the other day. Sorry to hear he has an infection . Hope he gets better fast. I know what you mean about the slow internet connection . That is what I had for a long time and it just kept getting worse. We would love it if you could get over to a monthly meeting some time. Would be great. Glad you checked in from Missing in Action. Lol Vesta: I am so sorry about your friends husband. That is sad Will continue to pray for his family and for you so you will be able to be there for your friend. That is a hard roll to play when your friend is hurting isn't it? No I don't have a Yucca plant and would dearly love to have a start. Im not real sure if you can get starts off of them or not. Sure did miss you and your beautiful daughter last night. I did remember to bring my cases and you were there. Iwasnt home all day so didn't know your about your friends hubby. Hopefully I will remember them next month. Maybe you and your daughter can make a trip up to see me here at my house soon. Janet: No why would I mind for you praying for my sister. Or for getting it started on here. I appreciate it greatly. We missed you too at the meeting. Sorry you couldn't be there but maybe it was meant for you to be home so you could start praying instead. YES the ticks are really bad this year already. They don't bother me too much but they love Joe. Maybe he is sweeter than me lol Have seen snakes , lizards, and wasps and mosquito's too. I hope that the insects and such all know what they are talking about as far as the weather is concerned. I hope you hear good things about your back and give you a way to conquer the pain without surgery. Melissa.: I am so glad you got such great news from your doctor. I forgot to ask you about your meeting with the lady about the job? Hope you will be able to do that . What sort of pain meds did your doctor give you? You said they seem to be working that is really great. Has Claudette emailed you the receipe for the cookies. She gave us this receipe once. I don't have it anymore so I don't remember it. My problem with stuff that is good for you, I eat it to excess to if it is anything like a treat. Lol Leave it to me to overeat on good food too. Sherr: that is horrible for people to do that and steal peoples pets like that. I hope tho that whoever stole my Chow found her a good loving home. She was so sweet and loveable that I hope that she didn't go somewhere that was mean to her. She didn't have a mean bone in her body and was so funny and fun loving. Oh for anyof you that called De Paul and said they couldn't find a person registered by Sugar Sims. Her real name is Delean . She has never used that name I don't think. All of her mail is addressed to Sugar. She didn't even know she had another name until she started to school and came home saying .I found out I have another name. LOL We thought it really funny because we thought she knew her name and that Sugar was just what we called her. But she didn't. I am the oldest of 6 kids and Sugar is the youngest there is 13 years between us and she was spoiled rotten by not only Mama and Daddy but by all six of us kids lol When she would get in trouble me or one of the other kids would pick her up and run off lol She was rotten and still is. Lana: Sorry but there are more orders for the jackets. News is spreading far and wide about them. LOL Goofy girl. !!! Again Thanks everyone for taking the time today to pray for Sugar. I intend to point her to all the messages for well wishes when she gets back. I hope she willl now just hop right back to feeling well now. Hello Missouri, Such a relief to know that the Doctor finally has a handle on what is causing Sugar's problems. No matter what they have to do to correct it she's on the road to recovery now. Prayers are answered but I'm continuing to pray for her complete wellness soon. Thanks, Melissa, for getting the information about DePaul's card address. Now we can all support Sugar directly. Julia, I assume the new email address means you've moved. Hope you've gotten it all complete so you'll be ready for your surgery, which is coming right up. Tammy, you're such a crazy like me. Keep on and keep your spirits up. Your turn will come soon. Vesta and Linda, we missed you Monday night but know you had another place you needed to be. Know you are a comfort to your friend. Good Morning Guys & Gals... Not just a beautiful day my way....but the birds are singing and the temp is pleasant. I had restless night last night...Last night was the last night to get to visit with my sister, my neice Kassy and my neices two children for sevearl months. They are leaving today to move to N.Carolina. She is the only sister I have and we are best friends...I sure am going to miss her. She was suppose to be my support person for my WLS but she had to move earlier than expected. So my mom is going to be my support person now. If all goes well and I have my surgery by the end of may or so, it will be so soon after her just getting moved that I dought she will get to make it back for it. She hopes to get set up and get another computer soon. Then we are all getting web cams so we can see each other when we talk. Maybe I wont miss her as bad that way! Will help with the little ones too, I know when you don't get to see them for awhile it seems they grow up really fast. My neices kids are only 2yr & 2mo. They go thru a lot of changes during those ages. Well enough about me.....How is everyone else this morning? Jan....Do you know how long Sugar has to stay in the hospital? You know....I don't think it has sunk in on how much of a weight loss I could actually have after getting my surgery!!! It never occured to me that I could loose enough weight not to be able to shop at LB or Romans!!!!!!!! Thanks for telling me about that!!! lol lol lol......What a day that would be lol lol........ And I would like you to email me Sugars home address so I can just send her a card there, since I'm not sure when she will be getting out. You already have my email address. Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ Jan-I hope we hear something about Splenda soon.....I guess you could always call the nurses station and ask how she is???? I hope and pray she feels better very soon and gets to being herself~I know you must have been a wreck yesterday and I wanted to just say-I saw on one of your posts that you wished you would have made her go to the dr sooner-but Jan, you did all you could do-A LOT of people told her to go-think she is stubborn like a lot of us on here-right? So, I dont want you feeling bad. She is getting the care she needs now and will be zipping around here in no time~ As soon as I get done with this post-I am going to go to the hospital link and send her a get well card...its pretty cool-you can pick balloons and such and they will bring the card to her room! Oh-and I loved the story about her not knowing her name-thats too funny....I know Jon is the youngest of the 4 kids and they tend to spoil him too.... Well, yesterday was pretty uneventful here. I made some calls and pretty much stayed put most of the day. We got the hardest rains yesterday that I remember having in a long, long time....I took Jon and we went to get the kids at the bus stop-and the ONE DAY they decide to get off the bus early and walk 1/2 mile home-the rain hits out of the blue-no springling or whatever-just full blown heavy rain-with the wipers on the fastest setting, still couldnt see!! Needless to say-by the time the kids rounded the corner-they were soaked thoroughly. It started to thunder then too-so I turned off the puter and unplugged it and the phone line so I wouldnt lose it again.... Its already started raining like that again this morning, has stopped now-but looks like its going to hit again....I have to go get my medical records (x-rays on disk) today so I have them for my appt tomorrow. Cant be going soon enough for me, because my back is starting to hurt so badly again and the flexiril just kicks my butt and makes me so tired. Seems like I have been dragging butt since I started taking it. Maybe he can give me something for the pain that wont make me feel like a vegetable? I am praying for that. I hope someone has that recipe for those no-bake cookies. If they are anything like the protein balls-I am gonna have to make them...YUMMY....I love those protein balls. In fact, I need to make some more-just havent done it yet. I have seen the snakes and ticks-havent seen any lizards out here yet-but we get a ton of the blue ones-in fact the kids are always catching them....then we get the wood scorpions (SCARY THINGS), the trantulas (SCARY) and other beasts. Even the mosquitos look like they are on steriods this year...I am like geez....guess terminex is going to be out bunches this year...LOL. I guess I should get off here-have to figure out how the bunny is getting out of his cage. This is the 2nd time in a week we have been sitting in the livingroom and the bunny hops in from the den and just sits there next to Jon....I have no idea how he is getting out!! As soon as he hits the kitchen floor-he stops dead in his tracks, dont think he likes the flooring...Which is good for me, he is easier to catch.... Well, I am gonna get my shake and vitamins in and start my chores and whatever for the day...I will check in on a regular basis today providing it doesnt start to lightening etc-and check for an update on Splenda...All of my love and prayers go out to all of you today. Good Morning All... It's a beautiful day out there! Thank you Lord for making it so! Jan...Got your package! I had to laugh, trying to keep me busy aren't you? I appreciate them all and will do my best to get them growing! They came yesterday but I forgot to check the mail. David came in this morning before he left for work and asked...did you order a bra or something online? I had been sound asleep. I woke up just long enough to say no and was out again. I remembered him saying something else but what, I haven't a clue. When I finally crawled out of bed this morning I saw your package and the rest of the mail on the couch, I had a good laugh! I'm gonna tell him when he gets home tonight that yea, there bras....I plan on GROWING one!...lol (Heck, it would probably would be easier to grow one than to find one that fits!) I thought I told David that you were sending seeds. Like me, I guess he thought it would be a very small amount....I never imagined the amount that I got! Thank you soooooo much Jan! My property will be beautiful again! There are many that I have never heard of and will have to look them up online to find out more. I don't have a problem with that though....I do it all the time, usually just window shopping though. (haha, I made a funny!....window shopping! get it?...lol) I have several favorite sites that I go to and imagine planting those flowers in my yard but now I can actually do it! Thank again hun!! Jan...please know that I am keeping Sugar and you in my prayers! Vesta...I still have you and your friend in my prayers as well! Janet...that cyst on or near your tailbone. Do they call it a pylonial (sp?) cyst? If so, I had one back when I was 18 years old. It was 4 inches long, they did surgery and kept me in the hospital for a week.....30 years later, they do it as outpatient! ...lol Mine has come back but it is only and inch long and we're not too concerned about it yet because it isn't bothering me. It got inflamed awhile back, my pcp gave me antibiotics and it's fine now. Down the road, I may need surgery again but for now, it's fine. I will say that if it's the same as mine and as big as mine was the first time, they will probably want to put a drain in it and for THIS surgery a drain is a good thing! I thought it was funny though when I had the first one surgically removed and needed by big, bad marine boyfriend to change the dressing! When he uncovered it, he ran to the bathroom and gagging and got sick!...lol We didn't stay together, not because of his weak stomach but because he was very abusive and unfaithful! He is my daughter's father but hasn't been in my life for way over 20 years....Thank you Lord! Sherr...that town (Drexel) where the dog napping happened is just down the road a little. I had been searching for homes in that area. That is really scary! If someone came near my yard to steal a dog....they would have their hands full! Jake, my beautiful retriever has a VERY LOUD territorial bark and if he was to jump up on that fence while barking...well, lets just say that most people would wet themselves! They don't know what we know and thats okay...he's a gentle giant, a big teddy bear that wouldn't hurt a fly...well maybe a fly he'd hurt but you get my point!...lol My yellow lab, Gracee can't bark as loud but she would be right with him, raising cane, along with the hair on her back...she looks so funny when her hair raises up like that but when she does it, I know she feels threatened! That's her way of telling me to get out there. I'm glad you posted that warning....thank you very much!! I guess I will be looking in other areas for a home! I know with all this construction going on around me that we are going to be bought out! I don't know where to move though. I need a place in the country! David wants to go where it's not so cold! He works in plastics and the company he's with pays him good so either we stay close to his job or I have to find a place that has a good paying plastics company close to it. I have been looking in southern MO, Ark and AZ. We don't want to go to CA or to Fl. Southern Missouri has alot of properties that are afforable but no plastics companies are close to those areas. My search continues... Our middle son and gf are coming over all the time lately, guess they don't have anything better to do! Our daughter has been here quite a bit too, her and the baby! With my daughter having her car legal now, she's running all the time. Her boyfriend got fired so I'd say they must be fighting a lot! We love them dearly but David and I are hoping for some quiet time, some time soon! Our youngest son and his fiancee came by this week too, it was real nice to see them but they haven't been around much because they live in Springfield. (that is the one that I was having major problems with here awhile back!) They seem to be doing fine. I don't ask too many questions though...trying to keep it civil. I don't like the fact that whenever we talk on the phone, she listens in on the conversation and when he comes here, he can't come alone but I guess we have to accept it and love them both, no matter what! Jason and I use to have long meaningful conversations about his future in the Church and life in general, now I have a hard time finding anything to say. I always knew he would grow up and move on but I never expected that we wouldn't be able to talk one on one....oh well! Andrew & Susan...I'm glad you two are okay! I have been worried about you guys. I'm sorry that your being pulled so many ways Andrew, I know what that's like! Susan, I'm glad you like your job! Good jobs are hard to find these days! I just want you two to know that were thinking of you even if your not on. Julia...so glad to see your back! I missed you and that smiling face! Hope your new place is everything you want it to be! Antonio...so glad to see your still around! I thought you had left us for good. I'm still keeping you in my prayers! I'm glad that everyones meetings went well last night! I pray that someday soon I will attend one as well. I think I need to call Dr H's office and make a appointment for another fill. I'm still not feeling restriction like I should. I hear it takes a few times. I was going to ask Debbie S. how her fill was working but I haven't seen her online lately. I pray she is okay! I'm glad we have a lot of newbies lining up and getting ready for their surgeries! I pray peace and strength on each of them! I got on here hoping to see some fresh news on Sugar. Sure hope she'll be feeling better today. Still praying she has a good recovery now that they figured this out. I mentioned Monday we were taking my youngest in for an xray as she hurt her wrist skating last Thrusday and it was still hurting so even thoguh the dr didn't think it was broken, we went for an xray.It IS fractured(a buckle fracture about 2inces up form the bend of the wrist) and she's been very active doing things/playing on trampoline even! This is the 2nd time in 6 mos that she's broken a bone and we didn't know til days later cause she's one tough cookie! I told the Dr from now on if she gets hurt, we're going for an xray asap.....right now she just has a splint (cause we didn't find out it was fractured till after 5pm last night) and today her Dr will review the xray and decide if she needs it casted. They were also watching for signs to be sure ther's nothing wrong with her bones that could be allowing hers to break easier. I wanted to say that it was GREAT to see Tara feeling so good on Monday at the meeting. I didn't get a chance to talk to her much but Tara, if you are reading this, I'm thrilled you are doing so well! For anyone who knows about this......the other member who was having trouble and needed to get to a Dr asap, is seeing one today! I was so gald to know that as well! Have a great Wednesday everyone.
