WHATS HAPPENING ,,,,,,,,MONDAY
Hip HIP Hurray!!!! Today is finally the 4th Monday of the Month and our Support Meeting. I hope Claudette doesn't inhale any more sunflower seeds. Glenna did a super bang up job at the last meeting but we all missed Claudette.
I know we are all looking forward to the meeting. I called Lisa that lives in Forsyth to see if she remembered and she did , she has it written on her calendar and is real excited about coming again. I gave her the name of our protein powder that so many of us like and the B-complex to buy and the calcium citrate and she says she is feeling so much better. That she really is beginning to enjoy life better now. It is a good feeling to really help someone along isn't it.
I am so glad that our little misunderstand got cleared up . I prayed and prayed most of the night about it. I only have love for everyone on here. I will make sure that if I say something to someone from now on that it is written right . Thank you girls for your gracious and loving thoughts.
So far today I have planted 6 toad lilies, 12 orange daylilies, a purple spierea, some blackberry lilies and repoted some of the tomatoes into larger pots. They are growing way too fast . I hope I can keep them in what they are in now till the first of May. I don't know that is another month to go. They are getting blooms on them and some of them have tiny little tomatoes already. I have had to put stakes by them and tie them up .
The ones that got the tomato plants I brought to the meeting last month how are yours doing? Lana, Vesta, Mel, Janet, don't know who else I brought some to. Hope they are doing well.
Debbie I got you a bunch of seeds together and am mailing them off this morning. Hope they all work for you. Some of them are from 2005 but most are from 2006 so hopefully they will grow. Also there is some chaf in them but I just plant all of that along with the seeds myself. Lol doesn't hurt.
Today Richelle K. is having her surgery. Good luck Richelle. I don't know if she has someone that will report to us or not. I hope so. Anyway good luck Richelle. We are waiting on the losers bench for you.
Melissa: so glad that things are back to normal. Will be so glad to see you at the meeting tonight. I look so forward to seeing everyone at the meetings. There is nothing like having the one on one that we get there.
I hope your appointment with the doctor gives you the news you want about your problems.
Starbucks, I have another friend that loves that place , she calls it fourbucks. Lol
Pretty much right don't know if they sell anything for much less than that.
It is good stuff tho if you are really into coffee.
Janet: It is hard to say what you mean and not have it taken wrong when all you see is words written on here. I guess we could use more of the faces it might help some you think?
Im just glad it is over and no one wants it over more than me. Thanks for understanding.
The cyst that you talked about are they actual cyst or fatty cyst. I have several of them on me and they are from having so much fat on my body for so long I guess. Don't know what really causes them. They seem bigger as I lose weight. I don't think they are harmful to you but I don't know what yours are either. I don't blame you for not wanting back surgery. I have never seen anyone that had back surgery that really got rid of the pain. But just traded one pain for another. Of course I don't know everyone that has had back surgery either.
Talking of the truck you have wrecked are you taking about a radio controlled truck or a real truck. I thought man I don't want to ride with her if she is doing all of that with her truck lol. I love racing, I have always wished I could have done that but too late for that now lol. I might crash into buildings and stuff like you did with your truck. But for real lol
Sure hope you can get someone to baby sit with little fellow. Would love to see you .
Debbie M; Thanks for the sweet words and cheers and love. How is your back? I prayed for you this morning it is suppose to be all better now. Lol
Thanks for caring enough about all involved that you wrote what you did yesterday. I wish I could write like that, there was no misunderstanding what you were saying at all.
Wow the Motorcycle ride sounds like so much fun. We dream daily about getting back into the wind.
Vesta: Hi sweetie. Will see you tonight. I have put the things into the truck that I want you to look at. I hope you can repair them but if not is ok. I have one that is good and one that needs repaired for almost everyone I have. I want to put them into a shadow box frame like to preserve them since they were my moms and her mothers too.
The pillow cases themselves aren't as important as the crocheting that they had on them.
I am going to make a wall display out of them in the trailer guest house.
Tammy: I too love to watch racing. I love dirt track I guess the closest one to me is at West Plains.
You will get back to your flowers , if not this summer then next im sure. It is such a relaxing time, the time I spend in the flower garden is like meditation, prayer, walk with God , what ever you want to call it , it is my peaceful talking time with God.
Im sure you are doing well on the liquid diet as well as you can and if the Doctor accepts you and tell you this is when if you lose this much weigh then im sure you will really buckle down with it.
It is hard to do before we all know that and realize it . Lord knows we all tried many times before, that is how we got to were we were in the first place, I say I dieted my way into obesity, It really is the truth. If it had been easy to do we wouldn't have had to have the surgery anyway.
Lana: hello pretty one. Every time I see your picture I smile, and not because I think you are funny looking but because you make me smile. Lol
Thanks for the compliment about the glue lol.
I hope Sugar will go to her doctor today. I don't know if she will or not. I called her yesterday and gave her the riot act too. She says that everything makes her gag, even the thought of it makes her gag. I just don't know. Im going today to go by there before I come to the meeting. I need to see if I can get her to eat something. Anything. She says the smell of the protein powder and most everything else is just overpowering.
Ihave one package of the unflvored unjury that you gave me left and im taking that to see if she can stand it. I cant smell anything when I try to smell it can you. We will see.
Where do you by that from if she can use it.???
So glad that your grandson is doing well. Thank god for kids and how they can bounce back.
Sherr: Thanks so much for the emails and so sorry that this caused you pain. Stay around and let us know what is going on with you and your little fur babies. Hope your baby is going to be ok. I know you are really worried about him. Smile and you are way too pretty to be a recluse. Really.
I hope this week is as wonderful as this last one was. I have gotten a lot of things done in the garden this week . We havent had any rain down here like everywhere else.
We really need it . Maybe one day this week. I had to water all my roses and strawberried today. Will have to water more things tomorrow if we dont get some rain soon. Time to do the rain

LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN

Good Morning Everyone:
Thought I would pop in here and give a quick Howdy before headed off to bed. I know that the morning is going to be rushed and a busy day. So I decided to get in my post before I ended the day. lol Looking foward to the meeting tonight. Sure seemsl like it take for ever for the time for the meeting to get here. But then when were at the meeting times seems to fly by. Whats up with that??? lol
Had a really good service yesterday. Spoke with the pastor's wife and she prayed with me. I felt alot better when I left. Like I said I left alot of things on the alter. Plus I always feel better after service!!! That is definayley one of the best things I love about my church. Is that when were singing you can really feel the presence of the holy spirit. I love lift my hands in praise and just letting the tears roll and getting into his presence. Gives me goose bumps just talking about it.
Well I hope to see everyone at the meeting. Of course everyone that can possible make it. Is Andrew & Susan coming this eveing to the meeting?? Ohhh I sure hope so. I am going to call Rachael and tell her she needs to be there too. I am hoping that she will get the chance to come. I called Janet but didnt get to talk to her to see if she was going to be able to make it or not. Hopefully her oldest daughter will be able to keep John until her DH gets home. And she will be able to come with DH & I.
Have a wonderful day. I love you all!!!!! See ya tonight!!!
God Bless
Mel

Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak -the last one is great!
Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back...
or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did....
FIRST TESTIMONY:
I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly,
"How much do you charge for a shampoo and a *******"
I turned around and walked back out and never went back My husband didn't say a word... he knew better.
SECOND TESTIMONY:
I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men balls".
THIRD TESTIMONY:
My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of
candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts."
My sister started to laugh hysterically. The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and
walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget.
FOURTH TESTIMONY:
While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up
energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving "right now" she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, "If you don' t let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!" The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.
FIFTH TESTIMONY:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch, in between errands It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-olds pants, but she was okay. Then I realized that her brother Danny,had not asked to go potty in a while. I asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No". I kept thinking "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me." Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?" "No," he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. Soooooo, I asked one more time, "Danny did you have an accident? This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!" While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed
female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any! We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked:
"So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?"
Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh my, Oh my, Ohhh my!! .....am I
or what? lol
Melissa, girl...you had me laughing so hard I hurt myself!! Not your fault though, just this old back of mine and I moved the wrong way! Guess I should of took the car yesterday instead of the Harley............ummm, no! This pain will go away!
Jan...The ride yesterday was awesome! A little windy but David makes a pretty good wind block...lol He and I both noticed that I fit better on the bike, I'm not packed in like I use to be! The only problem with that is I found myself slouching a lot which led to the pain that I have this morning that got me out of bed before 3am! Hopefully, the pain meds will kick in quick and I can still get something accomplished today!
Jan...you are a sweetheart! Thank you for sending me those seeds! I want so much for my yard to be pretty again! I know it will be, it will just take time! I had to laugh when you were talking about the "4oclock" flowers. I didn't know what they were. When I was at Wally World the other night I looked them up at the seed stand..now I know!...lol By the way, what is chaf?
Vesta...you mentioned sending seeds too, I think! My mind is a little fuzzy this morning but I'm pretty sure it was you...if not please forgive me! Anway, if it was you, I will take the seeds now if you still have them and are willing to send. I plan on posting pictures of all the flowerbeds once they bloom on my profile so all that sent me seeds can see how well they did!
I also want everyone pre-op to see how much they can do after surgery and weight loss. Sure I have a bad back but I am already able to move better than before.
I think the main problem I having with my back now is that fact that the more weight I lose in my belly, the lower my belly hangs and that with the weight of my breast...well, it's just too much strain on my lower back. I figure that my back will go out several times during my weight loss...it went out several times with the weight gain so I figure I will get to have the same fun (NOT!!) going the other way!
I am so happy that we all are doing much better! Tomorrow, I want to hear about LOTS OF HUGS and HAPPY TEARS that happened down there at that meeting this evening!! Everyone one of you!!....lol, I sound like my Mother!
Melissa...girl I know you were blessed at your Church service!! I could feel the Lord's spirit flow through me as I read your post! Cherish those blessings, they are so awesome!!...geez, now I'm teary eyed! Thank you Lord!
I'm glad that things are getting better for everyone! I know we still have several out there with great needs for prayer and WE ALL are here for you!
Sherr...hun, I didn't quite understand your post yesterday! Are you upset with me? Am I a Jekel/Hyde type person? If I appear that way, I'm sorry! Sometimes with my meds I do have mood swings...I didn't know they were getting that bad tho!!....lol I do understand what you mean though.
With everything that you have gone through and overcome, I see you as a walking miracle!! There's no other word for it!! At least not one that I have in my vocabulary! You are an awesome person! I can't see you being a recluse, your too pretty and the warerobe you've spoke of is not one of a recluse! It belongs to someone with class and character!
I will say and God forbid, if something happened to this website and none of us could ever contact another, you my friend, I would never forget! You have influenced me in so many ways! I thank God that I got the opportunity to meet and know you!
Julia...I tried taking a new oicture of me but they all turned out ugly...so I might try to get David to take a few today to see if they come out better...I'm trying!
Andrew...I understand about you taking care of your BIL but we sure do miss you two!
Craig...it's a little late but I wanted you to know that I'm sorry for your loss! To lose a good friend like that is heartbreaking! I'm keeping you in my prayers!
Janet...I haven't done my little "letting the newbies get to know me" post yet but I plan on getting to it soon!
I can just see you racing, I wish I could of been there when you were. That's something that I would of loved to watch!
I better watch you when if we bring the Bike down to the reunion. You might get the urge to go pop a wheelie or two...lol
Antonio...if your still out there, I'm sorry about all the stuff your going through but hopefully I will be seeing you at the meetings! Take Care of yourself and that family!
Well, my meds are kicking in and it's all I can do to keep my eyes open so it's back to bed I go. Praying that the next time I awake, all this pain won't be there!
To all those I may have missed.....Have a wonderful day and enjoy all the beauty
that God has given us!
Love & Prayers to All Deb M
Deb, you are such a sweet, sweetheart...
You have given me SO much kindness, and for that I do thank you. I hope your seeds turn out great. You will have to take pics so we can see how they turn out.
It is terrible how much you suffer in pain....I wish I had some solice to offer you. I just gace up after years of only being offered Narcotic type pain meds, which made me "goofy" but the pain did not subside....
There is nothing I've found for bone pain
I hope you can get some relief....I really do.
Being a recluse give me never-ending peacefulness, and offers me time to reflect, figure out how to solve my own problems, deal with things, and build up a strong character. I think it's what keeps me sane. LOL
I do have a handful of lovlies that I want to always come here and "hug" even if it's a computer hug and not the real one. But those people do make an impact in my heart, and are like the "Frosting" on the "Cake of life"...only make my life even tastier
"Sherr: Thanks so much for the emails and so sorry that this caused you pain. Stay around and let us know what is going on with you and your little fur babies. Hope your baby is going to be ok. I know you are really worried about him. Smile and you are way too pretty to be a recluse. Really. "
Momma J: You sweet woman....no pain at all...I promise. I won't allow it too....But, you, I was worried about you. I re-read my post from Sunday, and had to laugh tho...damn I hit the NAIL ON THE HEAD....LOL...
Many times people are too scared in life to "choose sides"...but the way I see it, sitting on the fence can only get a pointy board sticking you in the behind. I don't choose "sides" I speak when I see an injustice....
It takes a lot of time and effort to post your daily thread, lifting everyone else up, offering advice, concern and love....you are a better person than I am. Too many people come here needing to be petted and propped up, that is a LOT of WORK....Again, it must be exhausting for you....
I was so excited to read about all the "lily" things you've been doing. That has to be my favorite thing in the garden now.
Keep up the good things that you do, just learn some people are not worth it, and move on....life is sweetest when you surround yourself with pure goodness.
Love,
Blondie
Good Morning Guys and Gals..........
Just got done with my firt protein drink for the day, done my morning check on my BP and Sugar...and downed all my pills.....I love this time of morning...Everyone at my house is still asleep and it is so peaceful and quiet!!!!!! The sun hasn't come up yet, I might go out and set and watch it come up while I drink on my second cup of coffee.
Don't have alot planned today other than the usual cleaning. Need to go check on my mom since she wasn't feeling to well this weekend. Would like to go to my grandmothers and clean out her flower beds for her...she is upset cause they are still full of leaves and stuff and her lawn mowing mad wont do flower beds...but I know I wouldn't be much help on that...so hopefully I can get my son or nephew to go help do it....
Janet....Sorry I have forgot to mention Christa.....she is doing fine....The test they done on her to see if she had cysticfibrosis was negative!!!!!! We were sooo relieved to find that out..The doctor didn't really think she had it but with having the symptoms she had had for so long she said she really felt she needed to do it to make sure we could rule that out.....Looks like she is going to be a regular with Bronchitus and P-Monia along with her asthma...So we make sure she gets her allergie meds and as soon as we see any signs of anything we start her on her breathing treatments to try and head off anything getting started. We are in hopes she will out grow some of this stuff.
Mel....Good Luck Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you enjoyed church yesterday...I know what you mean about when the spirit moves.......It is soooo awsome!!!
I have lacked on going to church for awhile now...I keep saying next sunday...next sunday....I guess I need to buckled down and stop staying up so late the night before and get my hinney out of bed, get dressed and gooooooo....
Sugar....Hope you keep your appt today and you go see whats making you feel so bad. I can't say I know how you feel since I have not made it to that point yet, but I do know that it's not good if you don't get enough liquids and nutrition. I hope things get better for you real soon!!!!!
Jan....didn't you mention to me that you were part Indian????? I think with all the flower sharing you do on here and with all the stuff you are planting and all we need to rename you lol lol lol......haven't come up with anything that seems to fit yet, but maybe something like....summer blossom....lol lol....
Debbie M...Hope your back gets to feeling better....I have some trouble with my back too...I know it is my weight!!!! I have great hopes that when I get to loosing more of the weight it will improve some. My doctor just informed me that I may have a buldging disc. She thinks it is mild so I am in hopes that when I go to RUSK Rehab April 5th for them to show me how to exercise and not strain my hernia that he will show me how to do some for the disc too. My doctor says if you act on it early you can get in back in place so that it doesn't get worse. It is causing some numbness & burning in my left thigh so she thinks it might be pressing on a nerve too. Not long till the 5th so hopefully I can start working on improving that part of the discomfort soon.
I got the chance to weigh yesterday!!!!!!!
I have lost 5 more pounds!!!!!
I guess last week when I weighed and hadn't seem to budge any from the previous time, I had been at town running around and my feet & legs were swelled and I had just ate lunch. So maybe all that is why I didn't get to see any difference. Yesterday when I weighed I had not eaten anything at all and my feet were down cause I had not been up on them much. SOOOOOOOOO....Now all together I have lost 25lbs in one month. Today I start week 5 and it is 10 more days till I go see Dr. Scott. I might be walking in there with a smile big enough to blind them all..lmbo!!!!!
Please keep praying for me!!!! I know with the way my will power has been tested in this past month that it has to be the prayers and the Good Lord that has helped me thus far!!!!!!!
Guess I should close for now...I hope everyone has a great day! For all of those with needs today we will all be praying for you. Hugs & Love....Tammy H.
Good Morning Ya'll,
My goodness what a beautiful day it was yesterday. Is spring here fully?? Kind of early I know but sure seems like it is. Im still afraid to plant to much outside yet, it'd be my luck that we'd get a big frost and I'd lose em.
Jan, yeah its really good to get back into my routine of things again, glad to be posting more on here too, I've missed being around, I still have a ton of reading to catch up on from the board here but I'll get it done soon. School really is going good, it's hard to believe Im in week 5 of my classes, they are 9 weeks long then another set starts. Glad you got my email, Im really sorry I cant make it to the meeting tonight
I got the dates you sent me so Im gonna call Dr. Hornbostel today and see about changing my Appt from tomorrow til the next meeting. We should have our car back in shape by then, I've called a few places and to put brakes on the car is gonna cost over $200, used to I could do it myself but I dont have the tools anymore. I cant believe how the cost of things has gone up like that. I really cant complain tho cuz the car was given to us last summer and we've only had to put an alternator on and a battery, Its a 92 model and has over 100,000 miles on it but runs like a new car. So hopefully with Susan working like she is we'll get the brakes and new tires on and be all set to go to the meeting next month and up to Dr. H's. Be sure to give everyone a hug for me tonight.
Melissa we wanted in the worse way to make it tonight but guess life deals us a few things that we always have to deal with. As I told Jan over the weekend, I had a flat tire last week on my car and went to have it fixed and found out it couldnt be fixed cuz the wires were showing, I didnt realize my tires were that bad, from just looking they look ok but anyway when I had the tire off I noticed my brakes were digging into the cylinder already so I gotta get that fixed ASAP and I just didnt want to take the car on a road trip until I get tires and brakes fixed, we'll get that done in the next couple weeks and be set to go. Sure hope you and Janet make it to the April meeting cuz nothingis gonna stop us from getting there.
Deb M. thanks so much for ALL your prayers, the BIL is getting along alot better and he really doesnt need me there so things hopefully will get back to some what a normal state, I've missed being around here. I see i've really missed alot, there's so many newbies coming around, thats just so awesome. Susan says to tell ya hi, she's off work today so we're gonna enjoy the day together working in the garden more and things around here. Your cycle ride sounds so niceee, I wish I could get Susan to get on a bike with me, I'd love to do a small road trip on a motorcycle, that'd be so cool.
Well I'm gonna get outside and do some things before the rain comes in this afternoon. Glad everyone is doing good, Thanks again so much for all of your prayers.
Have a GREAT day.
Andrew
Hello Missouri,
I basically told you everything on my post last night but wanted to say how much I'm looking forward to the COF meeting tonight and seeing all of you.
Guess we're supposed to get thunderstorms today and tonight, I sure hope so cause I LOVE thunderboomers.
Hope you all have a wonderfilled day and know I love you all and am praying for you.
Hugs and love,
Lana
Happy Monday Missouri!!!
I am still gathering info so I can get approvesd for my surgery but things are moving along. I have my pshyc eval on Friday. Think they will find me crazy??
Today is a good day. I have been working as a nanny for a family and I am working more hours and not getting paid much. I have debating about trying to find another job, but I am a creature of habit and hate big changes ecpecially when they have to do with finances. Well, 2 weeks ago I was driving by a greenhouse and saw they had a help wanted sign up. I went in and filled out an app and they called me this morning. I start on April 9th. So i am putting in my two weeks today at my nanny job. I am so excited. It is just sales and such but I will get to learn so much more about gardening. I love gardening and was so excited when we bought a house last fall. But we are in a finacial crunch right now so I haven't been able to get around to doing any landscaping. I bet I will get a little discount on plants now. Whoo hoo.
Well, baby just woke up, I will stop back in later. Hope everyone has a great day!! BTW welcome to all the newbies.....
Rebecca
