This wont take long because I still dont feel well and looking at the pc screen gives me a headache. Found out today that I may be letting my lungs fill with fluid since I am not up doing much...but how do you do when your so weak? Also another friend that has had surgery said the leader of thier support group is a Dr who has had the surgery done 2 years ago. She said they had just disscussed at thier last meeting how not getting enough fluids in can cause all the symptoms I have. But again, what do I do when I feel like I am going to throw up all the time because I am so full? She said to just try for the most I can and give myself a brake...I will get better. So, I am going to take everyones word for that! Hopefully I will feel like coming to the meeting on MOnday. If it were tonight, I wouldn't be there...Love you all, Sugar

Dear Splenda, I am so sorry to hear you still arent feeling good....darn it~you have been in my thoughts and prayers!! I know 1 week after I had surgery, I got VERY VERY sick and had 3 infections-plus dehydration and really didnt think I was gonna make it for a week or so-but I gradually got stronger each day and I had a lot of people around me (24 hrs a day) that were making me drink whether I wanted to or not-and making me walk-no matter how much I didnt want to...Are you running a temp? Do you even feel thirsty? See, I did-but didnt, does that make sense? I know it does...I sure hope that you are back to yourself in a flash and getting better and stronger as I type this. Please take care, and keep us posted or have Jan post for you. Love to you, Janet

Sugar bear, Have you called your Doctor? I think you need to talk to him or your PCP. I think you are dehydrated and may need an IV. Don't wait too long. We love you and hope to see you on Monday night. Hugs and love, Lana

sip on water all day, walk as much as possible, and deep breath! When you eat, just a couple of bites, and slowly! If you don't do this, you will end up in the hospital on IV's, or with blood clots, and you don't want complications you can prevent. Take your pain pills every 4 hours, and take them with something to keep from getting sick. Don't wait for the pain to hit before taking something, but keep on top of it! If you need to talk, call me. 417-886-3529. Doctor office can also prescribe promethazine for the nausea. They make it in suppositories. They will knock you out though! take care of you.
